  1. That's right. One could argue that the offense would be no better if he had stayed. Does it really matter?
  2. That is the funniest thing I've read on this board... ever!!! WELL DONE!!!!
  3. I think Brian, the OC for the Jets is his son, and Kurt - the former defensive coach/assistant, is his brother... for whatever it's worth.
  4. That's a tough one to ponder. His record is great, but his personnel is even better.
  5. If they were a playoff calibre team, would we care what uniforms they wore? (But, I prefer the Retro home/away or the Jim Kelly era ones)
  6. I'm sure Tom Donohoe would have signed him... and think how that would have worked out.
  7. Lots of HOF NFL coaches were once high school coaches. Not that AVP will be a great head coach some day, but you never know - just sayin'.
  8. I wish I heard the "The Herd" this morning, b/c he is my favourite radio guy. But this whole "mgm't" idea is not new.
  9. What's Larry done this year? Word is Warner isn't getting the ball to him enough... sound familiar?
  10. I think you are right on that one. They are definitely friends and have made several appearances at each other's events over the years.
  11. Is Greg Bauch the part-time comedian? Whomever is, he's not funny at all. Whitey is funny and Howard is the Gold Standard at that station.
  12. I don't want Gruden per se, but I agree, he'd be better than Dick
  13. 3. AVP called a great game and a lot of downfield throws. Gruden/Jaws pointed out that both Evans and TO were doubled, so Trent had to throw it to the TEs and backs, and that was often in the middle of the field, down the field. Give Trent some credit where credit's due. I think the OL and play-calling are the two main positives from this game, and those directly impact Edwards.
  14. Well if Jauron is fired, it won't be Bobby April getting promoted, it will be AVP
  15. He's leaving his Estate (pre-tax) nearly $1 BILLION from this team alone! How could someone not be proud of that???? I'd "Enjoy" my team knowing I kicked in $25,000 and they are now a BILLION dollars! Wow!! Who knows how much other $$$ he has socked away? But I'm sure his Estate (kids, wife, etc) will not have to worry about Estate Taxes. That's likely already been accounted for. (But as a Bills fan, of COURSE I don't "enjoy" what I've been seeing the past 10 years. That's a completely different issue.)
  16. Excellent points! As a Bills fan, I would love to see an owner who has one goal, only... to win the Super Bowl, of course. But, as a business person, if I could take $25,000, and 50 years later, turn it into over $900,000,000 !??!?!?! (NOT to mention, all the fun along the way...) Well, you're right. He's proven to be an excellent biz owner. How could anyone argue that? He gets the county/region to kick in their part, he likely has near zero debt (relatively speaking), and he has sold-out crowds. His coaching staff and Front office are likely near the bottom of the league in payroll... etc. Yes, I'm sure there are a lot of owners who envy him! FORBES' Bills Valuatioin
  17. I thought they'd keep him. He was good enough to be on the Bills last year and I thought he looked better this season. Oh well, I'm sure the "Circle Jerks" know what's best!
  18. I think you'll see a lot of this - due to VanPelt's West Coast Offense experience, and with T.O.
  19. AVP will be Head Coach next season, I believe... no matter how the team finishes the season. I guess AVP is to Ralph what Jason Garrett is to Jerry Jones!
  20. I don't think anyone implied that Thigpen is a savior. (No one on this thread is that "idiotic.") Like I said earlier, he might be a good prospect down the road. That's all.
  21. Don't forget, the Bills starters looked good vs the Steelers starters last year in preseason. Robert Royal looked like Antonio Gates... but we all know what happened.
  22. Obviously. However, I think he'd be valuable as the season wore on, or possibly, a realistic prospect for the 2010 season.
  23. Hmmm, maybe we should switch the topic to: "QB Class of 2010!"
