  1. Maybe so, but damn, his name sure is fun to say!
  2. I thought last nights episode was pretty good, though at some point they are going to have to stop with the pre-Rosen flashbacks and just get on with it. I think this is going to become an on-going Twilight Zone episode, with ghosts, magic and parallel universes. Let's just hope they don't slip from intriguing to cheezy.
  3. Honestly...trading TH now would not be a terrible idea. His value will be higher now than if he has a subpar season splitting time with WM. Possible trade teams... Miami - obvious, but unlikely given that they are in the division Raiders - pretty decent chance, though they may want to wait for Ricky Cowboys - their #1 in 2005, not ours...maybe Eagles - seem to be surviving...not despirate enough to trade their #1 next year Carolina - in a world of hurt...this may work SF - part of their revamping of the offense Just some ideas...could we pry someones 2005 #1 away for TH, or would we have to settle for their #2?
  4. I couldn't believe how Fletcher was getting all over the field. Even my buddy Jets fan said that London was playing a hell of a game.
  5. "What's going on?!? What am I feeling so...tingley? Wait...what the...?!?! Wow...that's never done THAT before!"
  6. Evans was in on a fair amount of the offensive plays, and from what I saw, he certainly has the ability of getting open. The problem is that until the 4th quarter, Bledsoe was not getting nearly enough time to get him the ball. Plus, the play calling was mixing in a lot of short yardage (due to no time to let the longer plays develop). Regarding the mixing of plays and personnel...I was pretty intriqued. Shaw, Aikens, Evans and Reed all were mixed in with Moulds. Plus there were a couple double TE sets, and the mixing of Travis and Willis. I think the mixing of offense schemes, plus the hurry up to maintain momentum and catch the other teams D in a standard set, may open things up in the coming games. And look, I'm as frustrated as anyone else, but I can't go the entire season looking at the down side. I did see things yesterday that were positive, and at this point, I we (and the team) need to build on those.
  7. First of all, the amount of pathetic pissing and moaning on this board has reached an all-time high. Jeez...get ahold of yourselves. Would a little objective analysis hurt any of you? The thing that killed the Bills yesterday, and is the root of the problems the offense is having, is the O-line. Sitting at field level in the endzone gives me a great perspective of the lines ability of open holes, shift, and pass protect. They failed at all three. I once was able to see our o-line open beautiful holes for Thurman to run through, as well as create a nice pocket for Jim to set up in. This line is incapable of either. Bledsoe had NO time to even look past his first option, nevermind being able to wait for the longer patterns to set up. We can't run anything up the middle because there is no ability to open even the smallest hole for our backs to run through. The only successful running plays we had were to the outside. Second, the problem yesterday was NOT Bledsoe...repeat...it was NOT Bledsoe. While completely acknowledging his inability to move around, he wasn't even getting three seconds after the snap before he was pressured. How is it his fault when his line collapses almost immediately. I felt that he did a pretty good job yesterday...I was there...I watched him...he acted confident, was accurate, and put the ball where it had to be. Coaching...give Mularky credit for kicking these guys in the ass at the begining of the 4th quarter. The unit that was 90% responsible for the pathetic offensive showing during the first three quarters (the o-line), finally stepped up and offered Drew some protection. Plus, I thought the play calling offered a different mix of personnel and formations. I think we saw something interesting in the 4th quarter. Is it a coincidence that the only success we saw took place during drives where we ran a hurryup offense. Play calling involved a quick drop and dump to a short yardage receiver, mixed in with some runs. Set up the long pass to Evans nicely as well. Finally, penalties continue to kill us, though we seem to have settled down later in the game. This team MUST build on their play in the 4th quarter. I am not so lame as to think this team can make the playoffs (quite frankly, anyone who thought this team would have that level of success at all is too much of a homer to objectively judge this team), but as evidenced by all our games so far this year, we can play with anyone and have a chance to win late, even with as many mistakes as have been made. We have to take each game as it comes, and look to develop our personnel, our unit play and our coaching so that we go into next year having built up an experienced team that opens the 2005 season with few, if any, questions. Doomer cryers fire away, though you're less-than-objective opinions are getting very very old.
  8. "And so, in my State of the--my State of the Union--or State--my speech to this nation, whatevery you want to call it, speech to the nation--I asked Americans to give 4,000 years--4,000 hours--over the next--the rest of your life--of service to America. That's what I asked--4,000 hours." Classic!
  9. I have a feeling that the Jets are going to be very very excited to face our team this week. Their pass rush has been very productive thus far, and I'm sure they're looking forward to facing our O-lione and the immobile one. Our defense should be able to slow down their running game, but with our secondary being the mess that it is, Pennington may have himself a big day. Easy way to figure out who will win...team that makes the least mistakes. Think that will be the Bills? I sure hope so, but...
  10. Oh yeah! I love Candyman! Good flick. And not that they're all that scary, but the Hellbound Hellraiser movies are very entertaining.
  11. No thanks on that idea. Just wait until JP is healthy, and then get him as much time behind center as possible this year.
  12. We are very very close to being at the point where this season becomes a training camp for next season. Should we be 1-5 or so when JP is healthy, you WILL see him starting before long. Better get him the full-time game experience this season, then having him start from scratch next year. The same goes for WM. If JP gets in at least four or five games, and looks decent in doing so, Drew will be released as soon as fiscally prudent, and we will be moving right into the JP era.
  13. I agree with that. The ending, where the chick goes running into the basement, and the last thing you see is Michael standing in the corner. Holly stevestojan!!
  14. steve...excellent first post. welcome to the wall.
  15. Yep...there he is...just staring at me at my desk. At least we wrap up the year with Moulds and Henry.
  16. Wow...thanks for the numbers to back up my last post (we're one of those teams). What a sad state of affairs.
  17. A couple of weeks ago I post that I was afraid that maybe the Bills were becoming one of "those" teams. You know, like the Charges, Cardinals and Lions, who are year after year disasters. I think its now official. Bad teams have bad things happen to them. The bad penalties, bad calls, bad execution, bad playing calling, bad drafting and bad front office management. These things describe the Bills, and not only this year, but at least the last four years. I'm not saying all hope is lost, but its been such a long time since I felt good about this team. It's gotten to the point that I expect bad things to happen, and its seems that more often than not, they do. And like I said above, it's not so easy to blame it all on one thing (i.e. Bledsoe). There is more than enough blame to go around. If JP was healthy, does MM put him in this week to give the team a chance of pace boost. I doubt it...that would look like a move of despiration. What will it take to bring this teams fortunes around? I personally have no clue, but this losing, and losing badly, is becoming to typical of a Sunday afternoon result.
  18. What's really interesting is the fact that Hofner (thankfully!) abandoned the old QB rotation and went with the two freshmen. I think with either of these guys, the program is in much better shape.
  19. Nah...had to follow it on LiveStats.
  20. Congrats to UB for their first win in a very long time! They went with a new QB today, a true freshman. Chris Moore went 5-7-195-1 TD (86 yds), no picks. Total offense...UB 440 yds, UCF 473 yds. UD defense had 5 sacks and 3 picks. GO BULLS!!!
  21. Thank God. At least now she can be properly put to rest.
  22. Ugh. That show bites big time. Had to figure it, tough. How could they fold on a spinoff of the Friends franchise after only a half a season. Next year though...if they do pick it up for a second season, they'll start bouncing it around the schedule.
  23. Well, I made it...throooooough the night..DOH! Damn it Barry Manillow, damn you to hell! Been humming his ditties all day. On the happy note...wife was incredibly surprised by me taking her to the show, and she had a great time. On the sad note is the fact that I have a strong desire to wear a dress and sing show tunes. (sigh) Open CD player...insert Metallica CD...press play...let my remasculinizing begin.
