  1. Polian is on the Wall of Fame ... he was added in 2012
  2. There are many things wrong with your post; however, this is not accurate at all. There is no profit for a asset still being held by its owner. It doesn't matter what the perceived value is because it not for sale. So, unless Kraft borrows against the team, which I guess he would not do(and may even be rules against this), the additional 1.6 billion is not there to use. He has laid out $400 million and is making a yearly profit. That is the same as every other company in America, not necessarily the profit but making any investment and hoping for a return.
  3. Yes because it is Chris Hogan's play that has been holding the team back for sooo long! I am not stumping for TJ but lets not forget that, for the most part, we have not had QBs that could get him the ball if he sped down the field.
  4. My thought is that there was probably a stipulation the "Toronto Series" contract with the Bills that they could not buy a team because Toronto is part of the Bills home territory.
  5. A renegotiation most likey would have transpired before only one year was left on the least. Regardless, Its not the case and an irrelevant point to try to make.
  6. Ok so they were just commenting on last year's trade. Gotya I thought it was a new trade today. Thanks
  7. Hey guys Matthew Coller, this morning, mentions a trade that Whaley made. He say it makes Whaley look pretty good? What is the trade? Coller and Cich actually never mention it and I couldn't find it here. The mention is at ~19 minute mark http://audio.wgr550.com/a/96198297/08-30-sports-talk-saturday-with-matthew-coller-and-thom-cich-hour-3.htm
  8. What do you mean ... the Bills got JP. It didn't skip a generation :-p What would really be great for Orton is if the Bills went to and won the Superbowl. Its great for Buffalo no doubt, but Orton can say "Hey I am still in the NFL and won a SB ... who was it again that I got kicked out of Denver for and the guy who replaced him?" Ya know whatever helps light a fire for him lol
  9. If JBJ really wants the team this might be the best thing for him. He too could reconstitute a group of known individuals who want to keep the team in WNY. Not saying I am in favor of this just that it is a better position for him if he really wants a team.
  10. Well I didn't see that coming. I was convinced Tuel would be the guy in the #2 role. I am still skeptical ... how long was Flynn here for?
  11. They were never forced into this position, they chose it. I do not think EJ is a bust because he has only 10 games under his belt. The question is why is it that other with questionable performance positions are not provided the same latitude. If we use the logic that you invested a first round pick on him then Maybin should have been out there getting reps and experience. Either the philosophy of "competition breeds excellence" is true or it is not. It shouldn't be used selectively. That said "proven" starters don't need competition, unless it becomes obvious that they may no longer have "it". I just do not think EJ has proved anything yet.
  12. If this is the case why is it(competition) so important for the other positions on the field? But what about Bortles?
  13. This makes me sad every time I think about it! But seeing it in writing makes me want to stop watching football lol
  14. I am really not sure if that is true. Like last year the covet their playbook and they would need to make sure someone could consume and integrate it quickly this is the main reason, I believe, Tuel is still on the roster and will be the back up this season.
  15. Fitz easily could have filled this roll.
  16. "Of course they did" what? Nix said in his taped conversation with Tampa that Fitz would likely be competing for a backup position, meaning they believed whomever they draft would probably start. What they say this week is somewhat irrelevant, hindsight and all.
  17. Why? If they were going to pay Kolb anyway and basically keep Fitz salary cap hit there was no need to do this. If a team has a rookie QB and is on a rookie scale they could afford what a middling starter was making especially if they thought all the QBs in the draft were going to be projects. The problem is I am not sure they thought, as the post I was responding to suggested, they thought EJ was a project.
  18. I completely agree with this. However, I think they are more worried about another Flutie/Johnson or Edward/JP boondoggle more than anything. That was such a huge issue that I believe it has had lasting repercussions for this organization. One could argue that Brandon may be the driver of those kind of decision since he was the one here for those.
  19. I do not disagree with your assessment my issue is that you give credit to the Bills brain trust for their knowledge of what the development of EJ would be, but they didn't keep Fitz. Had Fitz been kept it would go a lot further into proving your point, I think. Replacing Fitz with Kolb shows a lack of awareness rather than the astuteness you are crediting them with. Plus Buddy all but declared Fitz would be completing for a back up spot(in that recorded phone call), meaning they thought who they drafted who be the starter, no?
  20. The way they brought in Flynn and dropped him last year and the way they were so eager to go with Tuel week one says they believe their play book is too complicated for a veteran to learn in a few weeks. I would be surprised given the reports of Freemans work ethic(I am not claiming they are true) that they believe he could pick it up.
  21. In all seriousness that is a pretty good question. The way Pegula bought up farm teams for the Sabres he may wish to buy a CFL team and make a farm system. That would be pretty innovative if it is allow by the NFL. Has any NFL owner done that before?
