  1. This has been Boyd in college his entire career. Just mind-numbing throws
  2. Lmfao. I saw that in a commercial the other day and just shook my head. City folks just dont understand. Lmao
  3. Im not famous and ive never done this. So it always amazes me when famous people send pics of their junk out. http://deadspin.com/geno-smith-undergoes-jets-rite-of-passage-a-rooster-shot-1493055000
  4. Lol. What do you propose they do instead??? Not sign cutler and go with who at QB in 2014 2015 2016, etc? Mark Sanchez?
  5. NewEra: I hear ya. One can dream. I figure there are 3 very good TE's in this draft and ONE of them should still be there in the 2nd round when we pick. Maybe not. I'm hoping Matthews' 40-time at the combine is average so he's still there in the 2nd. So ya, I'm probably dreaming. haha.
  6. 50% Complete coinflip at this point. There are a couple of things about Marrone that bothered me a little bit this season. EJ too.
  7. Well, I personally think the schedule is brutal. Do we have a single "easy" game on there? Maybe the Vikings at home...if you consider our run D vs. AP an easy game. This year we at least had the Brownies, Bucs, and Jaguars...all three "easy" games, and we still lost 2 of them. I see us going 3-3 in the division. Chiefs - L Chargers - L Packers - L Vikings - W Broncos - L Bears - L Lions - L Raiders - W
  8. We have a lot of cap room. Byrd is an elite player at his position. I'm of the mentality that you keep elite talent no matter the position. Byrd is a playmaker on defense - He has the most INT's in the entire NFL for a safety over the past X-amount of years. If that isn't worth top money at a position, what is? Looking at our roster, is there a player that is better than Byrd at his position? Maybe Mario? Can't think of anyone else. Discussing if Byrd is truly the #1 FS in the NFL is semantics. He's elite, and that can't be argued (IMO)..whether he's #1, #2 or #3, who cares. Trust me, in 1-2 years he won't be the highest paid anymore. But you know what? He'll still be a baller for us and not the Bears.
  9. If we can see this about ST, how do you think the players feel? On a sidenote, if im a star athlete i also pause when i see so many coaches/assistants coming from one program - syracuse. And the ones who arent from syracuse are buddy buddy with Marrone. The one exception is Pettine and no coincidence that was the better side of this team.
  10. My lord that looks brutal. 4-12. Marrone finally fires ST coach
  11. Theres definitely something to this
  12. Just bc we draft a QB again doesnt mean we're giving up on EJ. This isnt 2005 where a rookie Qb will get 100 million bucks. Ej will have every chance to compete for the starting job nxt yr (key word being COMPETE) What if we start 0-5 next season? Would you rather turn to Manziel or a 2nd rd QB, or turn to Thad Lewis/Tuel? Im not saying its ideal to draft a qb rd1 again, but its also not a dumb move IMO
  13. Old school: I would agree, kind of like EJ Manuel. One nuance however: EJ Manuel played in a better conference (many would say) and his ceiling was seen, at draft time, as higher than Nassib's. You don't draft someone b/c they're familiar with your playbook. That's silly. You draft someone b/c you think their skillset will succeed in the NFL. Marrone had a 4 year combine session with Nassib, and he passed on him over, and over, and over, and over again.
  14. Old School: there wouldn't be a learning curve? What about playing NFL defenses? Developing timing/chemisry with your WR, TE and RB. Nassib was nothing more than an above average college QB in an average conference. The hype around this guy continues to boggle my mind.
  15. KDiggz: all those WR you mentioned were top 6 picks overall. Even if there was a WR like that in this year's draft, we wouldn't get him. But rest assured, there is plenty of talent this season at the WR/TE slots.
  16. I laugh hysterically at people who "question the maturity" of someone who literally just turned 21 this month. People look back at his actions when he was 18/19 and judge him for being immature. L M F A O. Get off it. the definition of "immature" is "not fully developed." That happens when you're 18/19!
  17. Hey Bandit: I would definitely target Saffold. He's young and strong. He played RT on Rams before Long got injured and then played LT a couple of games. Has also played guard. Pay the man to play RT for us. Saffold has gotten good ratings. Glenn, Yankey, Wood, Urbik, Saffold would be a huge upgrade and my dream for the OL. I also hope Hairston can come back and contribute. He would be perfect for depth on the OL.
  18. thebandit: Urbik is actually solid. Pears would not start on any playoff team, I believe. Our problem on OL is RT and LG; Urbik is OK.
  19. I dunno JBoy - nobody appeared to quit the week before when we shutout the Dolphins. This team is just too inconsistent is all. Playing the patsies will also make many teams look like they quit.
  20. I would take him. There is no rule/guide that says it's a bad idea. Question: If EJ was coming out this year, would you prefer Manziel or EJ at 9? Manziel, hands down. Go to training camp with an open QB competition and best QB wins. Worst case scenario, you trade one of them 1-2 years from now.
  21. Wow man, looks like you out a lot of work into this. I enjoyed it. I wonder how much of this can be attributed to a QB feeling they need to give someone the ball as opposed to playing free and passing where theyre comfortable. Maybe Ej and stevie just lack chemistry as well. Fitz and SJ were clearly on same page. Thats another factor w young QB's and veteran WR
  22. Preach on. No such thing as small beans in the NFL
