Trump's move was impulsive, and stupid, but very few people can articulate how these job numbers are produced. It's not a count. It's a statistical estimate produced by a model. You can produce any number you want based on the input assumptions the statistician makes. So the question you want to ask is what assumptions are you making about the economy and the job market? And judge their validity. If you want to know how many jobs are created just ask the IRS how many new W4 forms were submitted.

You're beginning to sound like a conservative.

Political candidates make a lot of promises. Few are kept. Trump said he'd better handle the economy. He didn't say he'd alienate our trading partners. Biden said he'd unify the country. He didn't campaign on letting in 12 million illegals and shifting resources targeted for helping Americans. Trump is right about the need for the Fed to lower rates but his constant berating of Powell painted the guy into a corner. After getting dressed down in public he'd look like a complete tool If he cut rates. These policy decisions should not be public theater but rather done in an official setting. In September there will be a Fed meeting and a rate cut. I'm guessing 50 points rather than the current expectation of 25 points. But it will be too late to avoid a downturn and a stock market drop. If it doesn't happen before that. That's when the money printing, QE and yield curve control enter the debt markets. The July job numbers show the employment situation is deteriorating and add in downward revisions for May and June and the numbers are ugly. Saddle up cowboys. We're all in for a rough and unavoidable ride. For a clue, watch Japan or perhaps Europe dive into a recession first. Its no different this time. Economic cycles start and end. We're close to the end of this one. Time to deal with reality and not the fantasy world of political conflict.

What objective metrics or subjective observations are you citing to conclude inflation is "starting to heat up"? The June CPI reported the 12 month figure at 2.7%. The number for the month of June was .3%. The problem isn't inflation. The problem is there are several different factors that need to be balanced which lead to a conclusion that the consequences of doing what's needed to bring down inflation are judged to be greater than the benefits. Otherwise, there's just a lack of will to do what's necessary and no desire on the part of the American public or elected officials to endure any pain or consequences of the actions needed to bring inflation down. It would be easy to lower inflation to zero or even negative. All you have to do is raise interest rates to 10% and cut government spending 50%. I'll wager that would do the trick and then some. Inflation problem solved. New problem, major recession, perhaps depression created.

A word of advice. If you're a man married to a woman or dating a woman and she says did you see the skimpy outfit that woman was wearing the correct answer is always "what woman". Never admit you look at anything or even under extreme torture admit that you find other women attractive. -
There's still much denial out there. The laptop is real. The communications and documents are real. Meetings and connections took place. The big guy was directly involved. Influence peddling and payoffs. It's all genuine. Sure there's Russian psyop operations but of greater concern is the operation that elements and officials inside our own government were running against America. So there are two crimes here. Running an influence peddling racket. And running and participating in an organized cover up operation. Still some believe in a fake Russian disinformation story and a fake intelligence assessment from compromised former intelligence officials. A crime committed to hide another crime.

Trump ❤️ Tariffs

Most US Gulf coast refineries are configured to refine heavy crude. It was a big mistake to cancel the completion of Keystone. It would have benefited both Canada and the US. But that was the democrats appeasing the environmental base rather than prioritizing the economy. So the Alberta based oil business reacted and lobbied for the now completed Trans Mountain Pipeline expansion to the coast near Vancouver. Much of that crude gets shipped down the coast to US refineries. China might be a market for Canadian crude but for now China is happy to receive discounted sanctioned Russian crude shipments and supply from the Saudis. At the moment the Permian is the only US Shale basin that has the ability to increase production. Others have experienced steep and rapid declines in production. As expected by geologists. In short order US production will rapidly decline. No big discoveries with the exception of the Arctic are likely. Offshore drilling is expensive. Drill baby drill is a fantasy. Shipping our NG production to Europe is stupid. The war situation is in part to inhibit the integration of Western Europe and Russia by eliminating a cheap sources of energy and expanded trade. An arrangement thst would cripple US influence over Europe. The smart thing for both the US and Canada would be to agree on a clear mutual beneficial relationship. That doesn't appear to be on the table. Personally, I hold two big Canadian oil companies in my investments. Canadian Natural Resources and Suncor. Both are solid long term well run energy plays with large reserves. -
As I'm not one of them why don't you ask them? The question remains, what are democrats willing to do or change to get them back? My assessment is nothing and I stand by that conclusion. Just listen to them. Nobody here loves Trump and when you call posters with opinions that differ from yours "MAGA" its ridiculous. As least for me. I don't have a red hat, never interested in Trump's rallies or his full agenda. His policies and actions are not the greatest. I disagree with much of his agenda and actions. But he's the cleanest pig in the mud hole. I just know for me the democrats offer nothing.
-
Then the Democrats are crap out of luck in winning back these voters. Because the party will do nothing significant in terms of policy shift to welcome men back in because its dominated by radical leftists motivated to change the socioeconomic system of the country, feminists that hate men, and minorities playing the victim while clinging to a sense of perpetual entitlement that the system "owes" them something, forever and they're going to make you pay for it in every way possible. The approach here is to do more of what's not working until it does work. In summary, they want men to just bend over and take it.
-
What you're missing here is the cleanest Pig in the mud hole analogy. Or if you prefer, the concept of a lesser of two evils. Some Trump voters can be unhappy with Trump but they as sure as the Sun shines would be much more unhappy with Harris. So yeah, if you want to say remorse okay, but in the context of given no other option.

Libs: The Sydney Sweeney ads are Nazi Propaganda

I'm all for releasing all information and holding anyone that abused women or minors accountable for their criminal and immoral behavior. And if Trump was a party to that he should be held accountable like anyone else. But I'm wondering if disclosure to the public is being withheld because the evidence will also implicate the Intelligence Community. Running or allowing a intelligence gathering Honeypot trap intended to blackmail various officials and others to be run on American soil. Likely by a foreign entity, namely Mossad and potentially involvement of others such as MI6. This could help explain the death grip Israel has when it comes to our government's perpetual bi-partisan compliance to Israel. I think the theory has come validity but I need to see some hard facts to get completely behind that it. And those facts don't appear to be forthcoming anytime soon. -

Didn't Garland's DOJ and the FBI have possession and access to the Epstein case files and evidence? They didn't do anything with them. Why aren't people asking why they didn't release the files? And if Trump could be implicated does anyone believe the Biden DOJ would have held back if revealing damaging evidence would have cost him votes and likely the election to VP Harris? This alone would alert an objective thinker that something more is going on here. -

Didn't he meet with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to discuss and sign a trade deal with the EU? -
What I'd like explained is the thought process at work with teachers that need to deal with disruptive students in the classroom without any support from school administrators that generally support liberal causes that discourage and prohibit the imposition of any negative consequences on distracting and bad behavior? Is it simply go along just to get along because any teacher daring to deal with discipline problems will be punished by the district and the other teachers and the union don't have the stones or will to back them up?

Unattractive commie lesbian feminists hate hot heterosexual women because they possess a power over men they will never, ever have. Their only recourse is to berate them into submission though slogan filled rants complete with charges of toxic masculinity and nazi leanings. An approach that ain't working too well. The message to these douche bags is don't go away mad, just go away.
-
They're really reaching. And I would think Democrats should stay on message and be blaming global warming for price increases. And Reich, the great economist is an idiot. He mentions big oil donors and electricity costs. Oil and electricity generation have nothing in common. From the US EIA: Petroleum was the source of about 0.4% of U.S. electricity generation in 2023. Residual fuel oil and petroleum coke are used in steam turbines. Distillate—or diesel—fuel oil is used in internal-combustion engines such as diesel-engine generators. Residual fuel oil and distillates can also be burned in steam turbines and gas turbines. This was from 2023. Its certain that number hasn't gone higher since. https://www.eia.gov/energyexplained/electricity/electricity-in-the-us.php

Its 100% certainty that if Trump could have been implicated in a crime that Garland's DOJ would have released the Epstein "list" before the 2024 election. Unless doing so would have taken down allies of the party. That would have been much simpler and effective than all those legal interpretations they manufactured to charge and try Trump before the 2024 election. None of those cases were effective in influencing the election in favor of Harris. I'm not suggesting he's innocent or guilty but until some real evidence is revealed or produced its all just speculation. That said, I'm still baffled it took until now to interview Maxwell. And the judge, Robin Rosenberg, that ruled against Trump’s request to unseal the 2005 — 2007 Florida Epstein grand jury transcripts is married to Michael McCauliffe. A former Palm Beach County State’s Attorney involved in the negotiation of the 2008 “sweetheart” plea deal that allowed Epstein significant freedoms and little to no consequences. Its a small world after all! What might this couple know about Epstein?

Don't worry, the British government is focused on suppressing anti-illegal immigration protests and through the Online Safety Act censoring media reports, mostly social media as MSM self-censors, to erase any evidence of their existence. Saving democracy.

Why does MAGA protect pedos?
All_Pro_Bills replied to SectionC3's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Your cult is much more virtuous than what you charge others with here. You believe its better to kill them before they're born and rationalize that practice as "protecting" children from pedophiles. And demand the taxpayers foot the bill to boot! -
But you're just dumb enough to believe preposterous things such as Hunter's laptop was Russian disinformation because 51 former IC member "concluded" it was not genuine.
-
Libs claiming to be experts at market economics! Priceless.

Maybe they should close the border, lock down the country for 6 months, mandate the measles vaccine, and send all the Mennonites to isolation camps while arresting anyone that resists? It all worked so great in 2020 why not try it again?
-
First, you dodge my questions. I don't care if Republicans, or Democrats for that matter, won't do it. WIll my recommendations work or not? Second, I'm not a Republican. Third, there are already such work programs in place. And I'm confused. One one hand I'm hearing complaints about abusing illegals, aka deportation, and on the other advocating for employers to exploit illegals by paying below market wages to keep American industries running with illegals at below market wages. Which should we do? You're critiquing policy. I really don't care what politicians will or won't do. Their unwillingness to do something doesn't invalid my options. I care about what will or won't work. Will what I say work or not? Yes or No?
-
So your theory is without illegal immigration basic industries can't function? Maybe consider the concept of using legal immigrants? Or be willing to pay Americans and legal immigrants a living wage rather than low-ball wages paid to exploited illegals. Options available here.
