  1. Brown is most likely training camp competition. And he will push maybe someone else real hard at the bottom of the depth chart to make this team if not make the team himself. Which is all great in my book.
  2. Both Kane and Gronk are classic "ME FIRST" type guys. That's where their attitude comes from. Family. Having said that, Gronk still has a slight Western NY accent and doesn't talk black in my opinion. Kane still reps Buffalo... Have any of you been inside of Imperial pizzeria? Kids always back in B-Lo skating with the locals.
  3. @Hopeful-- I don't EXPECT Bradford will be simply released. I am hoping and speaking my opinion based upon what everybody else knows and is speculating on. IF Bradford is available, he's my #1 choice. And there is a very real possibility he can be had. Is that simplified enough for you?
  4. I like this idea better than signing Matt Moore. Read my what I typed previously two posts ago. lol I was simply stating that's who I'd rather have in comparison. Nobody should want Kyle Orton. He's retired, I'm not a "fan" who doesn't follow my team. Are you people (those who type every day on here) so use to uneducated fans posting here, you think I didn't know Orton was retired? lol My bad, I will try to explain my thoughts more simply and drawn out for you all.
  5. Oh what you guys don't think I know this? I am obviously just stating that I'd rather have a QB that we all know to be horrible and none of us want to go through having Kyle Orton again, than to sign this crappy QB that would just make us go through the same kind of growing pains. I don't want Orton! I don't want Matt Moore either. You guys are delusional. And Hoyer is a FA QB right now just like Moore. You can't state he's not available because you just don't think he will be. We are discussing free agent QB's for the Bills here. And discussing your point of "You can't ignore the QB position while holding out hope for Bradford" - You have to make a move I agree, but first you make a team consensus. A decision. And if a teams goals were to improve the QB position they would explore all options correct? So you explore if Bradford can be had, if not then you move on to plan B if Bradford was your plan A. So you don't just jump in to signing Hoyer or Matt Moore. There wouldn't be any "Ignoring the QB position." That statement makes little sense. And your opinion that Moore is the BEST UFA available is simply that, an opinion. I doubt you or anyone else on this board understand what our new coach's are exactly wanting in their QB position. To me you just don't JUMP in to free agency and sign the first guy you see. Buffalo is a top 4 place right now for a QB to go to. We pretty much can choose from the cream of the crop at QB in free agency. So what's with all of these low expectations... No, I don't want Matt Moore. I believe Locker has a ton more talent (Yes he can't stay healthy) I would still sign him over Moore. Hoyer has shown he can be a efficient QB, last year in his first full year starting (Besides two games). Let's look at Hoyers QB rating, and I'll just use the QB rating, even though it's not perfect, instead of posting a slew of other stats. Week 4 bye Week 1: @ PIT 94.0 Week 2: vs NO 81.7 Week 3: vs BAL 127.1 Week 5: @ Ten 97.9 Week 6: vs PIT 113.0 Week 8 vs OAK 111.5 Week 9 vs TB 85.4 Week 10 @ CIN 92.3 After week 10 his game completely fell off. Why? Who knows, Manziel? Coaching? Him? I'm not sure. But I know this, he played at a pro-bowl level from week 1-10 and had the whole league talking about the Browns. And that's enough for me to see to have him above Moore.
  6. I can not believe how many people are for signing Matt Moore. MATT FREAKING MOORE!?! I'd rather have Kyle Orton no question. Orton throws more accurately if you can believe that. You all are nuts. I'm for Locker and Hoyer to push EJ. IF Bradford is let go, he's number one. Lol Matt Moore.
  7. 1) How do you know? Personal speculation. 2) How do you know? Personal speculation. 3) How do you know? Personal speculation. 4) How do you know? Personal speculation. The only thing I can conclude from your post is that.... YOU don't want Fred cut. Okay, so stop talking like you know what's going to happen. I'm not saying Fred needs to be cut before training camp even begins, I am saying that we should not settle on an aging back who is clearly in decline now. You also do not just keep team leaders around and start them just because they are leaders. Seems like common sense to me to always have open competition at every position and to always keep searching for ways to improve the team. Fred is no Demarco Murray. He's in the bottom half of the league at this point in his career in terms of talent.
  8. I'm not sure how cutting Fred Jackson would look to the rest of the team. But I do know this, on that offense nobody should be safe. Fred does look slower that he has in the past. What would be the big deal if he got cut anyway? I want the best man to win, competition everywhere. I won't settle on a position because leadership is being overvalued past talent. And what better way to set the tone on the team, to let them know who's boss, when you cut Fred Jackson loose because he's not cutting it in training camp vs better competition? There's a new Sheriff in town. Hope Rex does cut Fred Jackson kind of. I want to see what Bryce Brown is going to do, hell Boobie looked better than Fred.
  9. Pat Morris is not a bad O-Line coach. I was listening to Joe Buscaglia talk on WGR one day and he made a good point. What is Doug Marrone "known" for? o-line coaching. Every time we've seen Doug Marrone coaching the Bills we would see and watch him be hands one with the line. Every time. Are you going to tell me that that wouldn't demean Pat Morris? It certainly would, and I agree with Joe B.
  10. The key here is to play a game that suites Ej Manuel. I believe in the philosophy, if you are going to start your project QB right away, that you need a good O-Line and a game plan that doesn't revolve around the QB. Ej had neither of those things. The coaching staff even took away one of Ej's greatest weapons, HIS LEGS. In my opinion it's hard to bench Ej Manuel based off of four games this year, two in which he played well. If Ej didn't play four games this year, would as many people be saying he's such a turd and they don't want him to start? I think they would still be saying 10 games is not enough... I don't get how 4 games changes things. The kid needs a chance to learn and grow. He needs a chance to succeed in a competent offense with competent coaches helping him and calling competent plays. It's completely RIDICULOUS when I hear everyone saying he's a bust.... Qb's take time. Relax everyone and enjoy the new offense that in my opinion, will maximise Ej's strengths and this teams. I love the new philosophy of groundNpound with a great D. A young, developing QB's best friend.
  11. That's because of the way baseball THE GAME is set up. Not the salary cap structure. In baseball there is only one position that can truly take over a game, and that is the pitcher. Those guys get rotated and don't play every game like a QB, so it's impossible to have one position truly dominate in baseball for a team the way a QB can.
  12. I think Lee is a great coach. One of the better ones that's for sure. Pretty annoying to hear people act like we are in trouble for hiring him, based on him being the QB coach for Geno Smith in NY
  13. The reason behind Romo's success. http://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2006/12/9/141415/461 Romo and Pennington discuss David Lee http://mississippi.scout.com/story/1039238-romo-pennington-discuss-david-lee
  14. The salary cap is a necessary tool still imo. It levels the playing field for every team instead of just the big markets. I won't ever discuss changing it. Never would I want the NFL to be like MLB which system is a joke.
  15. guys don't even sound like they're from buffalo.
  16. How about the Psycho formation... my favorite with consistent movement and confusion. I do NOT want to lose Nigel for nothing. Want to keep Spikes as well....
  17. No. Age, talent and his past history being factors. Hogan essentially better imo. I would love Crabtree and Davis and Iupati and a FB. I believe those saying you want him back know zero about team management. I'd give Mike Williams another shot over Stevie too. Feel He was shafted by Marrone.
  18. Haha. I like that. I believe that is true, think teams can volunteer but can't be forced to participate.
  19. Was it there REALLY any question. I didn't think so.
  20. Brian Bilichick and John Fox to name two very recent and very good ones.
  21. You should have mentioned Roman more, he is a huge pickup. Our offense will have a ton of creativity and players love him. He makes it easy and he's on the cutting edge. He's also had great success with the running game and even had very good success with a young mobile QB and even Alex Smith had his best year under him. Great hires! A+. Also hoping we can add Iupati, Davis, Crabtree and hell throw in Gore too. Hearing rumors of a possible Revis and Rex reconnection? One things for sure, things have gotten and will be very interesting. Love it!
  22. How about throwing the word "POSSIBLY" in your title somewhere. Nevermind, Just read he did. Here's a link... http://www.wgr550.com/Wheatley-leaves-Bills-for-Michigan/9034669?pid=449298 Next up, Pat Morris.
  23. We need a whole new interior. That includes Wood Agree with this, I PRAY to the football gods Pat Morris gets canned.
