  1. I think if there is one guy that stands to improve the mosy it could he Merriman, based on his 3-4 experience. Also I think Anderson will benefit from Pettines system as well. Bith players have experience in 43 34 defenses. Multiple fronts with guys that can play multiple fronts sounds like it can only mean good things.
  2. Trading down to gather more picks?? My god... It's so crazy, it just might work. I am usually always in favor of a trade down. This year would be PERFECT too.
  3. Von Miller clone. Me likey. I would have liked Von Miller over Dareus. Just sayin..
  4. Does anybody remember how much NFL OL experience Joe D'Alessandris had when he started?? The answer may surprise you if you don't remember. It's 5 years total. 3 years with Buffalo and 2 years as OL assistant with KC. http://www.buffalobills.com/team/coaches/joe-dalessandris/688adbac-4dd4-49d8-be7c-98463346bf27
  5. I wouldn't be too worried. Defensive staff is fine. The offense will be fine. We still have not signed our WR, O-Line and TE coaches. Those guys are the more important hires for your offense.
  6. ? What's wrong ¿ 4/5th rd pick until he lights up the combine
  7. http://thebrownsboard.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=25191&pid=320885&st=0entry320885 Browns board. Good for a little outside perspective.
  8. I am 100% pulling for Chan Gailey. I thought he handled himslef very professional and he's a genuine great guy. I hope he does fantastic. I truly believe a better QB would have made his offense very verrryy good.
  9. If not worse? Does anyone think before they say something? He took the Cards to the superbowl and arguably should have won it.
  10. I'm GLAD Thurmantor goes out of his way to tell us exciiting things are on the horizon. I don't know why everybody has to act like a bunch of babies. I would much rather know somethign good is on the way than sit here twiddling my thumbs wondering what the heck is going on with the organization. It's always better to know and all of you guys sound miserable. Really. Hopefully it's good news about regarding the head coaching. Good news meaning Chan is at least gone.
  11. Keep wasting your life away. How amusing you must be to yourself.
  12. Actually it's not that crazy. He has been playing that good. And the Buffalo Bills sideline reporter Joe Buscaglia has said all year that he believes Urbik has been better than Levitre on the other side. Its good Nix signed him before Urbik himself figured out he was worth more
  13. I disagree. I don't believe signing Urbik means Nix believes they will lose Levitre at all. It just means the Bills are starting to sign their players. It generally takes a little bit longer to sign a very good player in their final year. Simple as that. I guarantee the Bills value Levitre a whole lot and am confident they will get him signed. They're also most likely putting more effort in to their negotiations with Levitre than Byrd only because its very reasonable to franchise a safety compared to a LG now days. So if Byrd signs before Levitre, to me that means that signing Levitre may not be a guarantee.
  14. Why wouldn't a player stay loyal to a team that scoured other teams practice squads for them, gives them a chance to be the starter, starts over another good guard name Rinhart, plays with other fantastic players that have superb chemistry and blocks for two great backs. The prospect of having to go to another team for ABOUT the same amount is not intriguing. These players know Buddy Nix is making the right moves getting the team where it needs to be, they aren't dumb. Now Levitre is a slightly different story only because he could make Carl Nicks money.
  15. The negativity never ceases to amaze me around here. I literally try my best to skip over those kinds of comments. And for that matter kinds of people.
  16. Buddy has stated in his Friday interviews on WGR that it wasn't the right time to draft a QB without a good team to surround him. He said a young QB on a bad team you could hurt his development. I also feel they needed to see what they had in Fitz. Nix is makng the right moves. Gailey on the other hand is a whole different story. But I think its fair to give him a shot with an actual QB next year and see how much progress is being made. I truly don't believe he trusts Fitz anymore even though he says it. Whos going to throw their qb under the bus? A smart coach wouldn't. Is there really a right way to say "We need to find Fitz's replacement because we know he can't get us to the show playing like he has lately." One other thing. Regarding the moving up a round in the draft. I also recall him mentioning something along the lines of. "QB's usually get selected one round higher than they should so if you like a guy you take him a round early." Could that possibly be what he means instead of actually moving? Either way we know Nix isn't opposed to moving a little bit. So what's the fuss? Nows the best time to get a QB and I trust that's what he's going to do. But he will stick to his board. Nix is the man. I also think he doesn't want to worry Gailey with his job but I'm confident trusting his evaluation prowess.
  17. You have to hand it to the big guy. You also have to hand it to the coaches for keeping him around ahead of Dwan Edwards. Now I am definitely not one of those guys counting Troup out and I am more than excited to see a rotation of Williams, Dareus, Carrington and Troup for years. I'm excited for this line and it really has become the strength of this defense like everyone thought it should be. And one last note... I really like Kelsay but is he not the weakest link for sure this time? I think Merriman right now still has some upside coming back from those injuries. He's only going to get better with playing time. Keep him over Kelsay. Just my two cents. Alex Carrington — DT, Buffalo Bills The big news in Buffalo has obviously been the resurgence of big-money free agent acquisition Mario Williams, who looked much more like the player we saw in the past in last week’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Lost in all the talk about Williams however, was the stellar play of defensive tackle Alex Carrington who, despite playing just 20 snaps on Sunday, had his most impressive display of the season. With such a limited snap count he saw just three snaps against the run against Jacksonville, but in making two tackles which resulted in defensive stops — giving him a Run Stop Percentage of 66.7% — he flashed the ability to play the run well. Most of his work came as a pass rusher and, with two sacks from 13 snaps, he finished the game with a PRP Rating of 15.4%. Both sacks came in a fourth quarter that saw him add a batted pass on 4th-and-5 with 1:54 left in the game. Both Mario and Kyle Williams will continue to be the focus of the defensive line, but on Sunday Carrington showed that he can contribute as part of a rotation — good news for Bills fans who expected more consistency from the defensive line this season.
  18. +1 I agree. But in my mind I would think clapping towards the sidlines is more of a message towards the coaches. You generally clap and get pumped up with the players on the field.
  19. Ha thanks. I think Freddie being the leader he is, is smart for doing what he did. I'm sure he was pumped and let his emotions out. These are normal people like us who have their own ideas how the offense should be ran. He thinks we should run more and he's right.
  20. I'm pretty sure but I could be wrong I suppose. The angle of the camera showed both but you couldn't see freddies eyes. But he wasn't facing a certain player either... I'm pretty sure it was the sidelines because that's how it really looked like to me.
  21. I don't know if any of you guys seen it. But after one of Freddie's big runs he bent down, looked at the sideline towards the coaches and clapped emphatically. As if to say, "This is what you guys should have been doing all along." Did anybody else see this or was it just me?
  22. Hands DOWN Fitzpatrick haha. How is this even a question. The guy makes our coach look HORRIBLE. Chan's issue is he keeps believing in his dumb qb and for that he would be the next on that list to leave.
