  1. Anything can happen with Luck. Anything can happen with any prospect. To say Luck is a guarantee first overall pick next year isn't really crazy, but it just can't be a 100% thing. Barkley looks amazing to me. I love the way the kid throws. He will be a great QB in my opinion. And for Landry Jones there have been people saying before he ever even went to college that he could be the first overall selection when he comes out. And by "people I mean, Analyst's. If Barkley and Jones came out this year I would select them two and Luck any day over any prospect this year.
  2. Three Quarterbacks that most likely will come out next year are Andrew Luck (considered to be on a Peyton Manning like level) Matt Barkley and Landry Jones. All three in my opinion are head and shoulders above any QB this year. If they all perform like Heisman candidates this year there is no doubt in my mind that all will go in the top 10 depending on who needs a QB. So I thought I would create a new topic for all of us to discuss and think about.
  3. Fast forward 5 years. Cam Newton is struggling to be a consistant winner. Is more like a Poor mans Daunte Culpepper and VY combined. And I am looking back laughing to my self about post's like this and yet pissed off all at the same time for getting behind the guy while we fall down another 5 to 6 year playoff drought hole that we keep digging our selfs in.
  4. I'd like to thank you for posting this information. I have seen it before. But I want to just say that hopefully this shuts up those "Buffalo is moving to Toronto!!! omg!!!!" fans. Seriously you guys are morons and don't know anything.
  5. Hell I would trade down to the 8-11 range and gather a second and trade down again back to the 16-20 range and then draft Ponder. I would get about 4 or more draft picks out of it and possibly 2 second rounders. That is what I would try to do for you Bills fans if I was your GM lol I would have 3 second rounders. get OT, TE Rudolph and a D-Lineman. Either way I would improve the team if I did or didn't decide to pick those exact positions.
  6. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-draft/09000d5d81f00f87/Game-Changers-The-QBs-hit-the-field http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-draft/09000d5d81f00f86/Game-Changers-QB-film-study Couple of Vids from NFL.com showing Steve Mariucci school the two Quarterbacks. I really don't know. I think Gabbert isn't a top 10 QB in my opinion. I really think Ponder is the better of the two. Ponder in the second baby!
  7. They are pretty similar honestly I don't know why I said that he was just flat out better. But he did it over a longer period of time making him more credible/safer pick to draft. And I also didn't mean to just put below average for everything I wrote. I got caught up in the emotion and just said it. But everything about his game besides his competition was average. And some offenses are tailored to their QB. Actually A LOT are. I don't think Cam can come in and run a offense that a coach wants ran instead of the coach running what's best for him. I want more of a passing Quarter Back that can make any throw at any time. Newton IS NOT this. And I don't think he ever will be.
  8. If Nix and the coaching staff select Newton and he pans out to be a great player. I will eat my words. If he is selected and he turns out to be a bust. I will have to eat my words about Loving the Nix/Gailey regime so much.
  9. I swear it feels like a Democrat-republican debate more than a Gabbert-Newton debate.
  10. Auburn was a one read offense, not a pro style offense where you make multiple reads. If his first read wasn't there he pretty much tucked the ball away and ran with it. He doesn't use footwork in the pocket. He just runs the ball anytime the pocket breaks down and when he would stay in the pocket his athleticism (NOT TECHNIQUE) got him out of trouble 9 times out of 10. College is different than the NFL. If you have a mobile QB in your offense and you send WR's out on deep outs you are going to have room to run the ball if his first and second reads are gone. No matter the competition, if the teams don't have game tape on Newton they aren't going to know his nuances and how to game plan for him. I want to see Newton do it two years in a row. Then maybe I would have a different Opinion on him and more game tape to base my opinions on. Other than that... You still don't know what you are talking about.
  11. I love these guys. Interesting words for sure. I don't think we are going QB with our number 1 pick. No chance. I can't get enough of these guys.
  12. No I am not writing off a players just based on what he did in college. I kind of factor in to the equation his physical gifts as well. And while we are on accuracy I don't know if you missed it or not but Newton doesn't have the greatest accuracy in the world. Matter fact it would be on par with Fitz's. What are the other things I take in to account you might be assksskskskin? I take in to account his competition. His interview process's. His offense that he lined up in. The Footwork. The way he goes through reads. And even his wonderlic score somewhat. All BELOW AVERAGE!
  13. HA haaa HAAA. Wait was that suppose to be a joke? I don't understand the words coming out of your mouth Chris Tucker. I would take Fitz ANY day over Newton right now. ANY DAY. Why would you even try to make an attempt to compare a PRO Quarterbacks college resume to a college Quarterbacks college resume when Newton hasn't even touched foot in the NFL yet. Fitz is hands down bar-none the better QB here. I will give you that Newton probably has superior athletic gifts compared to Fitz. But as a passing QB Newton can't hold Fitz jock strap. Stupid comparison. Who do you want right now. Vince Young or Ryan Fitzpatrick? I would take Ryan Fitzpatrick.
  14. Ok Charlie Manson. You aren't driving me off the cliff with ya. Newton is Garbage. I wonder why it took 14 amazing games to convince you he is worth the number 3 pick and not 2 or 3 games.
  15. What the hell are you talking about? The offense was hands down better than we have seen it in the past few years behind Trent Edwards and J.P Losman. (excluding that one magical year for J.P.). Cam Newton is JUST LIKE VINCE YOUNG. Except young was better and had a longer better college resume. Bust written all over his face. This guy has only won 14 games. He tore it up in those 14 games! HE IS HE OFFENSIVE VERSION OF AARON MAYBIN in this years draft.
  16. I think you are WAY to quick to write off all these players. As long as coaches aren't making excuses for these players it doesn't matter if the fans do or not. Matter fact that's all we CAN do because we don't know for sure the ins and outs of these players. If we knew we would be able to give definite answers as to why these players aren't excelling or how they should be able to excel. Most of those "EXCUSES" are actual legit reasons or have been at some point. So there is some merit to them in my opinion. Coaching has a lot to do with this stuff. You can't flip flop between your play books and expect these guys to be on the ball with everything every single time they go out. It takes time, it takes practice, it takes continuity. Once we get a little continuity in EVERY aspect of the game including bringing in the right players, we should be fine.
  17. Dadonkadonk what do you know personally about grading players besides listening to" draft gurus"? Have nobody said a word about Gabbert you may not even know him. I watched the guy play a lot and I can tell you he is not worth a top 10 pick considering all the talent out there. Chandler is right. Trade down. And im right. NO QB AT 3!
  18. I will tell you right now. With Nix's most recent comments on the QB position being not the number one position of need. I think its safe to say we wont be going quarter back 1. And that makes me a happy guy. Gabbert and Newton are late first early second round guys. Guys like Ponder, Mallett, Locker, Kaepernick and even Dalton all have the same round value as Gabbert and Newton. Newton just has a higher ceiling of potential. But his bust ceiling is even higher. So don't get enamorred by that potential just yet. NEWTON FANS MAKE ME WANT TO VOMIT. Just wanted to throw that in there
  19. Gailey is an impressive coach. I am not going to lie. I don't think I will ever dislike the person him self. But if he ever fails us. I will dislike how he didn't get us there. I will never say I didn't like him... Unless that is if he starts sounding dumb.
  20. Possibly. But I can see Chan maybe relegating him to a smaller roll like Line Backers instead of Wanny. I think they will end up switching positions some time down the line. Then that would allow Chan to can him after that if he keeps messing up. Saying something along the lines of, "He didn't do it at D Coord. and line backers weren't responding to him at lb coach. I gave him a chance and it's sad to see him go, I wish him the beset of luck."
