Look on your birth certificate. If it is checked "F" under gender you will NEVER have one. -
I must be a good guy. I beat the crap out of my wife so now there are more battered womans shelters. Oh and I gave a [no charge!!] talk on it.

Home or away? What are the implications of a W/L for the the 7th round in the 2012 draft? Did we pickup Vick/McNabb/Peppers/Moss/ yet? Why not? Is RW cheap?[10,000 words or less on that one]. I have to admit that Monday morning at work, with half the customers and employees snapping at each other over a Bills game is NOT something I miss about living in WNY.

Are you getting that size right? 24 sq ft is a 5X5 ft shed. I think he might be hitting you for 3- 4 hundred a hour labor. Is he doing this as a side job or on the clock for a company he works for? Personally with your low power needs and given that it's a stand alone "building" with no human residency concerns I would use the $2,200 and buy a generator and wire it myself.

What's even better is when it's Monday and you still doen't know.

assigned to spell check would be a good start. Seriously, I can't imagine running a forum where the prime topic after game one!! is who should we take #1 overall? What could be worse? A suicide hot line perhaps? [Which I did see in shout box or chat box or what ever it is- I think Lori defused that one]. I will remain happily blissfully ignorant till the Bills are in the playoffs.

What's the knock on Palin?
Jim in Anchorage replied to Rob's House's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
What really amazes me about this almost hysterical Palin hate/fear/loathing on the left is she should really be their idol second only to Castro/Chavez. Her very first action as Governor was to go after the ultimate liberal Satan oppressor of the working masses: Big oil. She introduced[and got passed] a tax increase from 22.5% to 25% on oil extracted on state leases, despite fierce Conservative opposition. In fact the conservative radio talk show hosts hated her, claiming she was going to drive big oil out of the state[i guess a liberal would view that a positive]. All this was very newsworthy at the time because all the prior Governors[VERY much including the Democratic ones] were lap dogs of the oil company's. Well it seems to have worked. The state gets it's fair share of income from it's resource's, the oil company's are still very much in business and making large profits. Oh thats right Her legislation worked-THAT'S why the liberals fear her! http://www.taxfoundation.org/blog/show/25620.html -

Changing Brake Pads
Jim in Anchorage replied to HereComesTheReignAgain's topic in Off the Wall Archives
This is just geriatric advice as I have never done civic brakes but what you may encounter, in order: [a] They will be disc's on a 2007. Guaranteed. The caliper pins may require a socket you don't own. Large Torx[male or female] or large Allen head are common.[c]Once you remove the pins, stick a large screw driver between the rotor and pad and pry. This will partly collapse the piston making prying the caliper off easier.[d] You will need rotors. That grinding you hear is the pad backing plate chewing up the rotor. The rotor may be stuck to the hub; you are replacing it anyway, so just whack the edges with a large hammer to break it loose.[e] When you seat the piston[c-clamp works fine, I prefer a large set of slip joint pliers] leave the old pad on. Caliper pistons are made of a brittle material-the pad spreads the force of the tool out and prevents them from cracking. If you can't collapse it it's seized[rare now a days] and must be replaced. When you collapse the piston don't be alarmed if you see brake fluid running out from the front of the car-you are just forcing excess fluid past the master cylinder cap. Replace the rotor and pads, bolt the caliper back on and put the tire back on. At this point PUMP THE BRAKES! you will have no brakes till the piston you bottomed out comes out far enough that the pad contacts the rotor. 2-3 pumps will do it-the pedal will firm up noticeably. Use factory pads. After market pads may or may not be cheaper but are not worth the potential headaches[soft pedal, squealing, etc.] Bleeding is unnecessary unless you open the hydraulic system, which you will not unless you find it necessary to replace the caliper. Now seat the pads. make several firm stops from 40 MPH stops, driving some between them to allow the brakes to cool. You may notice some smoke/burning smell while doing this-normal, just the preservative coating burning off the rotors. -
Whats really weird is Ratigan seems to be treating this as a serious, meaningful interview, with plausible actions being discussed. Is he as big a flake as his guest? It appears so. The Democrats lost because of Gerrymandering? How did that work in 08? I wonder what the 6 companies are that control the US? It would be interesting to have O'Reily at that table.

I need a new printer and have noticed wireless HP units for $80. My demands on a printer are minimal, just a few text documents a month, so I'm sure it would be adequate. Question is, my PC is 7 years old and can't receive wireless router signals without some sort of thumb size gadget plugged into it. So hows that going to work the other way, sending signals to a printer? Should it work as is or will some sort of add on be needed? Is it likely the add on will come with the printer or will I need to buy it separately? I am buying this at Cosco so I don't think I'll get a lot of technical help there. Thanks
