    No, just countering the you MUST have car insurance argument. As others have mentioned, when you drive you are puting OTHERS at risk and need to have a way to cover damages. That's all it is, bond or insurance is no matter. No one but me will suffer if I have no health insurance.

    You don't need insurance to drive a car. You can post a bond for your states required liability coverage.
