The organization can't help what these guys do off the field. They are young, rich, well known in their circles, and have a long off season. In Whitner's case, don't rush to judgement. He plans to open a suit against the police department for a reason, saying what happened was totally unnecessary. We will see what comes of it. These things happen, you just have to hope that some sort of personal responsibility and lesson come from them.

When I was coaching my little league team I stressed defense. You can score every appearance on offense, but if you don't stop them you don't win. In other words, our offense needs help, but not near as much as defense. We have seen mediocre offenses win big games, even super bowls. When have we seen the mediocre defense win? The closest thing I recall is Indy, but they were playing very good defense throughout the playoffs. You can tell this is a Skooby thread. It was a thought that popped into his mind so he just had to share it with everyone. Hold nothing back.

At what point does the "driven playmaker" turn into a liability? He throws where he doesn't need to, will lose a game on his own accord, and will not take responsibility for it. I think if we learn anything from this episode in Denver, it's that he hasn't matured at all while in this league. Who, as an adult, completely avoids their employer for two weeks while constantly being called, messaged and so forth? I for one would love it if Denver would stick to their guns and let Cutler simmer on the bench or fine him the whole season if he doesn't show up. It's ridiculous how the league is run by pampered children.

The thing we lack the most...DE. A good end will pressure the QB, collapse a pocket and act as a run stopper. They will also make an average backfield look much better.
