  1. Is "because it is cold" better for you? Brandon can run all the off field stuff. Decide how many bouncy houses should be in the field house on game day, determine where the merchandise trailers should be placed in the parking lot, maybe control some budgetary issues. However, as it is, he makes decisions that affect everything that happens on the field. He was the acting GM last year, he has been making these decisions for longer than people know, and he will continue to make them... despite the dog and pony shuffling of the chairs that occurred last week. This organization has been progressively getting worse in correlation with Brandon's influence and promotions. and to take it a step further, we have Overdorf and Littman who also make decisions that negatively affect a head coach who's objective is winning.
  2. our owner has entrusted a smarmy marketing sports management type to stick his nose in football decisions. Now actually he is running (ruining) the team. You think a coach in demand is going to want to accept input and possibly be overruled by Russ Brandon?
  3. I agree. That is concerning. i will not be a fan of this team if brandon is still acting as the GM
  4. no firings http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4794978

  6. Cowher is definitely coming to Buffalo to coach the Bills. Things change all the time, but from what I hear, he will be the head coach, unless he does not want the job, or the Bills do not make him an offer.
  7. It is a pretty fixed process. There is no leeway at all.
  8. yeah, an ACL tear is very painful for a short while, then doesnt hurt much... you can even put weight on it just minutes after, you just wont have much stability
  9. no way he can play next week with a ligament tear. I almost hope NE wins next week so they can get slaughtered vs Indy or San Diego
  10. Cowher would make the Nix thing seem very smart. Nix does the dirty work and the homework, while Cowher assesses the onfield product and determines what kind of players are needed. Cowher could still be the GM in a way, but not have most of the work load. Sounds like a great situation and i would definitely be on board
  11. they say these things because they know the pulse of the fans, as the CEO is a marketing guy. Once they take the field next year to one failure after another, itll be the same thing and maybe that is when they will pull the fire Modrak/Guy card. how many times in the PC did I hear the distinction between marketing guy and football guy? It was like I was listening to them address the message boards
  12. it doesnt sound like they are going to pay for.... i mean draft a QB
  13. so our QB situation will be unchanged?! How is this nightmare possible.
  14. in a different organization I think I would be out of line. It is pretty obvious this is business as usual for these clowns.
  15. this is 100% BS coming from the FO.
  16. Ralph Wilson really lets out some snippets of truth in his old age.
  17. nix: we arent far away ralph: it will take a lot of time
  18. this PC is a clown show as stated above
  19. it sounds like we had a very good, maybe great college scout/director. Doesnt mean he will be a good GM. GM wasnt a good position for Marv and he was a good, maybe great head coach. It would be nice to have a good GM come in from the outside and allow Nix to focus on what he has been doing best for a long time
  20. past track record with Wilson/Brandon at the helm. Another old man. The other interviewees were also internal guys who have had a huge hand in this predicament. Almost shows the only intent is to reorganize the chairs on the Titanic
  21. Just another shift/restructure as an attempt to keep the fans at bay. We cannot fall for it and the team needs to be held accountable now
  22. wow. i wont be getting my season tickets then
