  1. The draft value chart shows the 9th pick at 1350 points, the 14th pick at 1100 points, Atlanta's choice in the 2nd round is worth 400 points. The Bills in a deep draft could do very well with 5 picks total in rounds 3 & 4 and could dangle some of them to move back up into the 2nd round Honestly one scenario I can see is a Dawkins move inside to guard. Then we would need two tackles in FA, still start Teller and draft Risner at play C with Bodine and Botteger as depth
  2. I would hope a team that has a QB need ahead of Minnesota comes up and we can do a trade down. A QB does allow a greater return on the trade down package. The problem I see is there are enough QB's to fill the holes and honestly Dolphins may keep RT and live with an awful season and get one of the top QB's in 2020 draft even lessening our chances to get a trade down. I think we have to stay in front of Vikings to draft Risner.
  3. There is a lot of talk of a team like the Redskins trading up possibly with the Bills to get the QB of their choice. I'm thinking the QB market goes like this: Foles to Jacksonville Bridgewater to Miami Flacco to Miami Tannehill to Washington Haskins to NY Giants Lock to Denver With this a very possible scenario, I see the trade up being with Atlanta going up for a DT. Here is my first picks thru the Buffalo trade down Arizona - Nick Bosa San Francisco - Josh Allen NY Jets - Quentin Williams Oakland - Clelin Ferrell Tampa Bay - Greedy Williams NY Giants - Dwayne Haskins Jacksonville - Ed Oliver Detroit - Devin White Atlanta - Christian Wilkins Denver - Drew Lock Cincinnati - Kyler Murray Green Bay - Deonte Thompson Miami - Dexter Lawrence Buffalo - Dalton Risner Bills trade from 9 to 14 get Falcons 3rd and 4th Bills get a versatile guy with great leadership and position flexibility. Will allow the hopeful addition of T Darryl Williams to play RT and maybe a Quentin Spain or Reuben Foster to play G and keeping Jeff Boline for depth. Starting offensive line Dawkins Teller Risner Foster Williams, depth before round 2 of the draft is Bodine and Bottenger and possible Jordan Mills as swing T. Hopefully Bills look at WR in round 2, either Hakeem Butler, Deebo Samuels or DK Metcalf Round 3 - Picks 74 & 79 Round 4 - Picks 105, 110, 124 Round 5 - Picks 136 147 Of course picks 4th and later are affected by added compensatory choices to be determined. I would consider possibly trading both 3rds to move up in 2nd if Iowa TE Hockenson is available This also assumes we resign Jordan Phillips and add a WR in FA
  4. Yes, we carry 8 and usually dress at least 7 on gameday and on occasion 8
  5. I'm sorry but spending on the O line makes your QB, running game, passing offense better and keeps them on the field longer also helping the defense. 3 players and 2 picks are needed to add to Dawkins, Teller and Bodine and we possible Bottinger would have us set for years.
  6. As long as we sign RT Darryl Williams, C Matt Paradies, and a guard such as Ramon Foster or others, a TE and a WR along with resigning Jordan Phillips and maybe Jordan Mills, could we even consider a RB in the first round. No matter how good a RB is he would have no chance behind the sorry a** line we put on the field last year. It would be like spraying 500 an oz perfume on a full septic tank. Even if we sign all the above I don't think he is the BPA with the 9th or whatever pick we have after any trades.
  7. Can you qualify your statement. What is it based on? Bills have cap space, a yong QB, starting opportunities, a very wealthy owner and the 2nd ranked defense. What makes the Bills a lesser free agent destination. It's nice to have an opinion, better if you can qualify it. So, your response is? Of the list of 13, only care about signing Jordan Phillips, I'd be ok with a reasonable back-up contract to Jordan Mills. Nobody else interests me on that list.
  8. Hope the Bills can sign OT Darryl Williams and C Matt Paradies or Mitch Morse, TE Jessie James, and one of the WR like a Tyrell Williams. If the Bills with their cap space and a young QB can draw FA talent it sets up the draft to truly take the BPA in the first round.
  9. 67 from Illinois really stood out in the East 1st series. Pancake block and then a nice seal block and finally great quickness on a screen.
  10. Looking at the rosters I saw a maximum of 5 potential 1st round picks. Jones and Lock at QB, Risner at OT, Sweat at OLB/Edge and The DE from Boston College. The rest are rounds 2-7, RB's and WR's are 4-7 round caliber. Seems the strength of this draft class is obviously the 135 early entry prospects.
  11. I'm thinking three first round QB's in Haskins, Lock and Jones of Duke. Murray is wildcard as his dynamic plsymaking but size limitations and possible baseball choice make him a "buyer beware" kind of guy you may not want to risk your first round pick. Assume Flacco will fill one of the teams needs. Thinking Dolphins have too many holes to risk a QB and may be looking at buildingbthe roster, eating a bad year and looking for a QB in 2020. Leaving QB needy teams to Broncos, Giants, Jaguars and Redskins. Flacco taking one spot, Tannehill possibly another. Giants and Jags ahead of Bills in the draft order, my thought is Jags move ahead of Giants, trade with Bucs to go from 7 to 5. Giants grab BPA and see if a QB like Murray falls to them in 2nd round. Broncos and Redskins left, thinking Flacco goes to skins and Broncos can stay where they are and get 2nd QB of their choice as I think Haskins is going to Jags. Hence, no real trade down for Bills due to QB needs, our best bet is Falcons at 14 looking for big DT need.
  12. This is based on Bills getting C Matt Paradies, RG Ramon Foster and RT Darryl Williams in Free Agency. Also assume Bills resign Jordan Phillips and Jordan Mills. Let's also assume we add TE Jessie James or Max Williams and WR Chris Conley or Tyrell Williams. I'm also assuming that Joe Flacco is traded to Washington for 3rd round pick in 2019. Tyrod signs in Jacksonville. Antonio Brown dealt to 49ers for 2nd round pick and Solomon Thomas Now here is my mock draft: 1. Arizona - no viable trade offers so Cardinals take best player at position of need. DE - Nick Bosa 2. San Francisco - Tough choice between Quentin Williams, Josh Allen and Greedy Williams. More QB pressure is determined to be higher position of need. OLB/Edge - Josh Allen 3. New York Jets - Two high areas of need, offensive skill position and pass rusher. Clelin Farrell available and Decide to turn down offers from Giants and Jags and select: Edge - Clelin Farrell 4. Oakland Raiders - 13 sacks says it all, Raiders need top DL, would prefer edge but 1st three picks take best players so stay on D line and select: DT - Quenten Williams 5 - Trade - Jacksonville trades up to get in front of the Giants by sending their first and 2019 2nd to Tampa and select: QB - Dwayne Haskins 6. NY Giants - As much as QB is a need area, Giants not willing to trade up or take a player rated below others on the board. Still have needs in the O line and BPA if moved to guard is: OT/G - Jonah Williams 7. Tampa Bay - Bucs have glaring need at CB, simple choice at position of need: CB - Greedy Williams 8. Detroit - Biggest weaknesses are at WR and LB, BPA is at LB: ILB - Devin White 9. Buffalo ok folks I've given you my thoughts on free agent signings, key player movement and the top 8 choices. Do the Bills, stay at 9 and pick, trade down and if a trade down with whom and what would they receive in return? Looking forward to reading your thoughts
  13. Probably not, but maybe a Bryce Love who is coming off an injury or the kid from Texas A & M
  14. Fair trade factoring in a top 10 pick gets a 5 yr deal there would be a premium. Let's say a 3rd round pick which would be the 68th pick. We would be drafting 24, 27, 40, 64, 74 in the first three rounds. Plus have two picks in the 4th, 5th and 7th and one in the 6th. If we add a WR, OG, C, T and TE and maybe an OLB in free agency we could draft: 24 - Hakeem Butler - WR 27 - Dexter Lawrence - DT 40 - Irv Smith - TE 64 - Youdny Cajuste - OT 70 - Chris Lidstrom then in 4th round LB Kahil Hodge and RB Josh Jacobs thoughts please
  15. I so hate the damm Patriots, hope the Chargers have an answer.
  16. Jonah Williams with weight added could be a slight downgrade from Quenton Nelson, think he is a NFL Guard
  17. I know Barr will be expensive but the thought of Edmunds and Barr in coverage with our secondary and a big DT in the draft would make the defense top 5 in football. Trying to figure if Lawrence or Wilkins is best fit at DT will the Phillips boys at DT and Hughes, Murphy, Lawson and a young edge putting on the heat.
  18. This class is full of solid offensive lineman who will end up being available. Some solid #2 receivers. This is perfect for the Bills needs.
  19. Here is what I hope they do re-sign: Jordan Phillips Jordan Mills Lorenzo Alexander Release: Vlad Ducasse Charles Clay Chris Ivory Patrick Dimarco Add best available OL, WR and ST coaches Sign in Free Agency: RT - Darryl Williams G - Ruben Foster C - Matt Paradies TE - Jessie James WR - Chris Conley or Tyrell Williams LB - Anthony Barr NFL Draft 1. Christian Wilkins - DT 2. Hakeem Butler - WR 3. TJ Hockenson - TE 4. RB from Texas A & M 4. G from Wisconsin
