  1. The post drew interest and comments isn't that enough. I thought the point of this board was to post topics that draw interest. It's the off-season, free agency is right around the corner, the draft to soon follow. It's logical to post topics relating to roster additions until the free agency window opens. Obviously you don't agree. So take my posts like television programming, if you don't like it, don't watch it, or in this case, don't read it. How does that sound to you.
  2. Well there is three pages of response so I guess it drew interest, so what reason will you use to close this topic just because you don't like me.
  3. I believe an offer of 4 yrs and 44 million will make Mitch Morse a Buffalo Bill, then offer 5 yrs and 60 million for RT Darryl Williams. That would take only 23 million of the 80 million the Bills have in cap space. Leaving 57 Million. Assume 9 million to draft, leaving 48 million, 3 yrs and 12 million for DT Jordan Phillips, 4 yrs and 16 million to TE Jesse James, leaving 40 million, Sheldon Richardson 42 million for 4 years leaving 30 million and then 36 million for 4 years to Tyrell Williams leaving 21 million. Then try to trade down hopefully with the Redskins. Swap 9 and go down to 15, get two Redskin 3rd round picks. Pick 15 - TJ Hockenson Trade 2nd and one of the 3 3rds to Packers to select Hakeem Butler Trade 2 remaining 3rd round picks to move back into the 2nd round and draft G Chris Lindstrom 4th Round - Terry Mclaurin 4th Round - Bryce Love 5th Round - Kahil Hodge 5th Round - Edge 6th Round - CB 7th Round - LB 7tj Round - P
  4. Tyrell is my favorite FA WR, however he has publically he wants to be paid as a WR1, I don't see him getting that type of money from the Bills. Let's see if anyone overpays for him and see if the price comes back into the 8 to 10 million per year range. Highest priority is C and RT, then TE and DT. Hope these spots are filled prior to the draft.
  5. I think the Bills will spend big at C and RT and at a lower level at G. I think DT (2, Phillips and FA), and TE like Jessie James. That opens the draft for TE and WR in Rounds 1 & 2, I'm hoping Hockenson and Butler.
  6. I'm thinking the Bills will sign a C and RT as a minimum in FA, also will resign Phillips at DT and add a TE and possibly a WR
  7. That's a great point, I think he is a powerful run blocker, but may be more economical to leave Dawkins at LT and draft a guard in the 3rd round.
  8. Here is my best guess at the Bills offensive line in 2019. LT - Trent Brown LG - Wyatt Teller C - Mitch Morse RG - Dion Dawkins RT - Darryl Williams Reserves: C - Jeff Bodine G - Spencer Long T - Michael Dieter Lets see what others think.
  9. That's exactly what I was thinking. So much will depend on the combine and then the Pro Days. But I think if Haskins and either Lock or Murray is taken by the time our pick comes up, the Redskins will want to jump in front of Miami to get one of the three. Then with three third we could deal 2, get a 2ns 2 and end up with a 1st, 2 2nds, a third and two in the 4th and 5th, a 6th and a pair in the 7th. Lots of possibilities
  10. With the Redskins getting a 3rd, 5th and 7th round compensatory picks it makes it a greater possibility that they may Ent to move up and draft their QB of the future. If you were the Bills GM, would you move from 9 to 14 and take both 3rd round picks?
  11. It seems to me that Brown is Tavon Austin 2.0, and with a Liz Franc injury, no thank you.
  12. As Carolina has only 6 picks now (may change with compensatory choices), I assume just for draft value choice points the 4th would be needed as the pick is not for a QB where their is a premium. 9th pick 1350 points,105th pick 84 points - total - 1434 16th pick - 1000 points, 47th pick 450 points - total - 1450 Fair to both teams. Panthers have DJ Moore & Chris Samuels at WR so not a position of great need.
  13. I'm thinking this is a fair deal for both teams. The fans will deal with the benefits of this swap.
  14. Was looking at team needs and Carolina is looking to get a quality edge player. With the 9th pick I only see Bosa, Allen and Ferrell taken by the time our pick comes up. Would you pick up the phone and offer the following trade to Carolina: Bills trade 1st (9) and their higher pick in the 4th round (105) Carolina gives Buffalo (16), and 2nd (47) Bills now have 16, 40, 47 and 74 in Rounds 1-3 With those picks: 16 - TJ Hockenson - TE 40 - Hakeem Butler - WR 47 - Oshane Ximimes - Edge 74 - Michael Dieter - O Would you make the deal and if so who would be your choices at those picks
  15. I'm thinking we take TJ Hockenson in the first, hopefully after a tradedown and WR Hakeem Butler in round 2. Hoping to fill Needs at RT and C in FA and also get a DT and LB
  16. Please let Rosen go to the Patriots. That would be fantastic, he is nothing close to Brady and with the sub-par weapons on their roster he will totally su** As a Bills fan I can only hope.
  17. It will be interesting to see the year 2 development of each of last years 1st round QB's The Bills, Jets and Cardinals will be adding offensive line and skill position players. The Ravens have Greg Roman to put together a customized game plan for Jackson and honestly, will be see much improvement in Baker's game.
  18. Hey Bucs fan, like the offense if Winston dosent self-destruct. Defense did draft a number of secondary players last year and they did gain experience. Will Gerald McCoy be released to gain cap space? Do you resign disappointing T Donovan Smith? What are your thoughts for the Bucs pick at 5?
  19. If we look only at the year 1 results Rosen was by light years worse then any of the other 1st round picks. His style is a classic dropback QB, limited mobility kind of guy. That means he needs a solid offensive line and good personnel at the skill positions to flourish. The Cardinals have a horrid offensive line, limited weapons on the outside or at TE. David Johnson is wasted in the current situation and the Cardinals need more picks to build the roster. They can try and trade down but teams trading up for a QB can give up far less to come up to picks 3,4, or 5. So, what options are they left with? Keep the 1st pick and draft Nick Bosa or Josh Allen. That does little to improve the team in 2019, does not generate much fan support and puts the Cardinals in a long rebuild. Keep the 1st pick, select the QB they like best, and put Rosen on the block. By drafting a QB first, it lowers Rosens trade market value as the Cardinals are then almost forced to deal him for less then market value. Trade Rosen for the best offer and select their new QB to build around. This is the pathway I actually think they are going to go. It makes the most sense in both the short term and the longer term rebuilding.
  20. This is a really interesting topic, thank you for the post. In looking at the situation, a new HC with a chance to write his own story tells me your hypothesis has merit. The Cardinals have a few pieces, but tons of holes to fill. The Josh Rosen pick last year was pretty much a failed experiment. So the question becomes does Kingsbury go with Murray to rebuild, trade Rosen to a team like Denver (long-term after Flacco), Washington (Alex Smith is done), Miami (are they more interested in tanking for 2020 QB'). Also, what must be considered is the need to draw fans to their stadium. Fans are not going to be motivated to fill the seats with a first round edge rusher and Josh Rosen at QB. If I was the GM of the Cardinals I would put Rosen on the market and see what offers I would receive and then select whichever QB best fits the new direction of the head coach and use the additional picks to start rebuilding the roster. Based on where they are at with their current personnel and the level of competitiveness of the other teams in their division a say being a contender by 2021 is the goal.
  21. Absolutely Allen over Jackson. I think both Edmunds and Vander Esche are both going to be muitiple time pro bowlers. We ended up with Teller an Wallace. O'Neil could have alleviated our need for a RT. Chubb may have allowed the Bills to move off McCoy in this off-season, Dickson as punter, never would draft a punter. Miller could have been the WR needed in this draft. The actual draft produced a long-term slot corner in Johnson and Siran Neal could be that hybrid S/LB the Bills D wants and needs. But it is an interesting comparison.
  22. Just for fun this is who Pro Football Focus selected for the Bills in the 2018 mock draft completed 10 days before the draft Round 1 Lamar Jackson Leighton Vander Esche Nick Chubb Anthony Miller Wyatt Teller Brian O'Neil Michael Dickson Levi Wallace Based on what we saw from our actual draft class vs the performance of the players listed above. Would you prefer the actual or what we did. Round 1 Jackson & Vander Esche Round 2 Chubb & Miller Round 3 Teller and O'Neil Round 4 Dickson Round 5 Wallace Picks in 6th and 7th traded
