  1. You have Holmes and Cotchery ahead of Braylon Edwards? Really? As for Evans, I believe he is a number 1 WR. Especially on this team.
  2. How about adding a vetran like Keith Bullock to the linebackers? If Schobel retires, he'd fit right in. Could mentor Maybin too.
  3. What about trying to trade for one of NO's extra tackles? You could probably get one for a bag o' balls, as long as you eat his salary. At least I think they need to take the chance. If he proves to be ineffective, cut him. I thought they were about raising the talent level on this team? That would be a good start. No way Baltimore gets rid of Gaither before they know what they have in the preseason.
  4. I say they stay at nine and grab Davis, and trade back into round one for McCoy.
  5. Don't forget these: We should have traded up to get... or Oh man, we could have traded down with... and selected ...
  6. I'm not convinced any of the Top Talent OT's, will be great LT's in the NFL. Are you? The past drafts have had guys that are "Can't miss" type guys, everything I've read shows that Okung will be good not great, and the two that have the potential to be great, lack the work ethic. I want a player who has the work ethic to be great, and studies hard, and appreciates what the game will give him. I don't see that in the top OT's. I see it in round two.
  7. Hat about a swap of firsts and a third for gaither?
  8. Ouch... Bloody nose
  9. You're not biased at all by being an OU fan are you?
  10. I think we have enough holes in our roster, that giving up picks to move up is unwarranted. I think that if he is there at #9 we should. I think he has the tools to succeed in Buffalo.
  11. Because we love injury riddled Qb's. Love his play, when he plays, but too many injuries.
  12. An that stupid robot thing. WTF is that? They really can't come up with anything better? I'm not sure why Fox thinks that Buck is so great, but he really adds absolutely no insight into a game what so ever. There are several better announcers. I wich I could say let him with stick baseball, but I hate him there too.
  13. Which team were you rooting for?
  14. Who needs to to in Saturday the most? The guards, the safety, the TE or the end. I say the guards. The O-line needs time to gel. They miss time, I think that hurts cohesion worse than a pass rusher.
  15. I was listening (for the record I think Cowherd is pretty entertaining) and I have to agree with what he said. He basically said beware of the circus that is TO. With the TV show and the side circus, he doesn't think that DJ can handle him. I laughed.
  16. Van or Tasker
  17. Tim, Any chance you could explain the rookie pool numbers? I'm not sure i understand what the $5.9M number means. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
  18. Cost too much for what? I was wondering if he would have lasted until 28.
  19. Didn't see this anywhere, I apologize if it was, what could have been… Before drafting North Carolina's Hakeem Nicks with their own pick at No. 29, the Giants had worked out the parameters of a trade with the Lions to move up to the 20th pick, according to someone briefed on the negotiations between the two teams. The person, who requested anonymity because the Giants don't discuss war-room talks publicly, didn't divulge what was being offered to Detroit but said the trade was contingent on Missouri wide receiver Jeremy Maclin's being available for the Giants to select at that spot. The plan was nixed when the Eagles, probably sensing the Lions were shopping their pick, jumped up two spots to No. 19 (by giving the Browns a sixth-round selection) to pick Maclin, whom they hadn't considered a possible target because they didn't expect him to fall that far. It's unclear if Philly knew its division rival was the team getting ready to pounce on Maclin. -- Newark Star-Ledger Would Pettigrew have lasted? Stupid Eagles.
  20. Maybe they think they drafted their guy last year.
  21. I'd almost like to amend mine. If we trade up above 11, or up from 28 and lose picks, that would make my head explode.
  22. I say yes. All other TE's you name don't block. That's like drafting a third WR. A guy that gets 10 plays a game. A guy like Pettigrew plays every down. He blocks well. He catches well. None of the other TE's in this draft (or many in the league) can say that. I have no faith in teh Tackles that will be availalbe when we draft, you can get the same production out of the 28 spot. Same with DE, I'd take someone if I trusted there talent, but there are too many questions. Pettigrew is a rare find. You don't let them pass. 11 may be higher than ideal, but it's a risk I'd take.
