  1. New England is a big market? "many players will play for less just to be a Patriot", would they have 10 years ago? C'mon APV you're smarter than this. Bottom line is you have to build a winning team through the draft and the second and third tier of free agents, and the big name players will come. Or find a franchise QB that turns the team around and that approach can work too. But this small vs big market stuff is for the most part BS.
  2. APV I don't get the post. Every post you made in regards to Merriman was that the Bills would be brain dead not to claim him.
  3. We will see when Brady is done playing how great of an organization they are. Then maybe folks will start to understand that the elite QB is what makes you or breaks you in the NFL. Stop! Don't bore me with the exceptions.
  4. Not sure if this was brought up or not, but we are past the trade deadline.
  5. I don't think it would be a problem for him to learn all the blocking responsibilities of not only the Tight End position but the entire offensive line. And learn an entire NFL play book after never playing on the offensive side of the ball, which would include the route tree of his position and every other receiver, all the motion responsibilities, and be able to read defenses. Yeah shouldn't be a big deal, after all he's the same height and weight as a Tight End.
  6. Oh how the tide changes. Was he doing a great job with Edwards? Funny how QB play can change the perception of everything. And to think some don't think the Bills need a franchise QB in the draft to turn things around. There's people that have actually said a DT, DE, or Tackle is what this team needs.
  7. It's easy to say this, until one of those "judgment calls" cost your team a win.
  8. I think there's a balance that can be achieved. You can't expect people to be happy about this team, and just think of fond memories to subside there disgust for where this team has been for the last 11 years, and for what is sure to be a long road to hoe in the future. But if there isn't a side of you that can't find optimism in the current regime or the current draft class or anything for that matter. Then I don't see the point of following the team.
  9. After watching the HBO real sports follow up show on head trauma, these hits have to stop. The NFL doesn't have a choice. Not only is it bad for the players but they will be in lawsuit hell if they don't act. For Harrison to come out acting like this is completely irresponsible. For the folks who have never gone to an NFL practice, you may not know how violent this sport is. Watching on tv or in the stands doesn't give the violence it's due respect. These men are colliding at disturbing levels on every play. When you add hitting to the head to that mix it's alarming how someone wouldn't support the regulation of that.
  10. The reason I view them differently is Incognito is a starter in the NFL, no doubt. Carpenter is a depth player at best. To quote Die Hard "You are not going to find quality this time of the year unless there are issues." Incognito was an anomaly, that should have been retained. He was one of only two things I've disagreed with what Nix and Gailey have done thus far.
  11. I think we are both agreeing, but for one thing. I don't think we need another maybe, we have several at LB already. Is cutting say Ayodele and signing Carpenter really something this team should do? I just don't think so. We need to continue the complete cleansing Nix and Gailey are employing.
  12. I sent Another Point of View a message apologizing. I realize I was a bit disrespectful regardless of former player or not. I guess the team has us all at a very high frustration level.

  13. I probably would be, but it wouldn't be because of who he is. It would be because of who he keeps posting we should sign. It's ridiculous. Bobby Carpenter? This team is void of any top end talent. Which as you know is crucial, especially at key positions. We need some sure fire leaders. A team that was mired in mediocrity to now find themselves a bottom dweller - need not to entertain players like Bobby Carpenter. Oh and to answer your question, I am not playing guitar. One of my biggest regrets is not learning how. I'm a Blues guy, and Robert Cray to me is one of the greatest to come along.
  14. Yes I can. That may be my issue with your posts. It's like a collage of every whimsical thought that comes into your brain.
  15. Your posts get stranger and stranger. I have no idea where you are coming from.
  16. Why shouldn't we be picky? Just because we aren't good doesn't mean you sign every "I hope he can be good". When you're not picky you end up with Cornell Green. So yes, we should be picky.
