  1. Not only that but it seems to unclog the pipes a bit faster than usual.
  2. Not really. After all, you make the playoffs two or three times in 40 years and it's probably self-evident and unnecessary to point out.
  3. If that's what was said to you, then why did you post that the Cardinals "seem to have traded Boldin for Bennett"? The link only mentions rumors, not a done deal.
  4. No. He played center in college at Tennessee and was a left tackle in Denver.
  5. Generally you want a road grader on the right side and a more agile guy protecting the quarterback's blind side. Teague doesn't seem to me to fit the profile of a RT.
  6. If we traded our 3 to AZ for Shelton and got Miami's 3 for Travis, the deal would basically be Travis for Shelton AND a move up 17 spots in the third round. That would be a better deal than Travis for Shelton straight up, with the only negative being that Travis would be in our division to haunt us.
  7. Exactly, that's the other side of the coin. An agent might have gotten Bruschi 10% more, but would have pocketed the whole thing for himself.
  8. I may be off on this, but I recall that when Sam Adams threw a sh-- fit at Jerry Gray, Edwards stepped in for him and played very, very well. Big Sam shaped up pretty quick after that.
  9. I don't know about Light but you can't really cite Bruschi as an example. If, instead of signing his extension last year, he had gone on the open market, he probably wouldn't have gotten much more than he did get from the Pats. Now, he had an excellent 2004, but there was no guarantee at the time he signed his deal that that was going to happen. And now that his career may be over, he's looking awfully smart for taking the money last year instead of waiting to become a FA this offseason.
  10. Boy those are some real azzholes over there on that board judging from their sig lines. Anyway, I wouldn't necessarily mind taking their third-rounder. What is that, #67 overall? It's almost a second-round pick.
  11. When did even Brady "take less" to stay with the Pats? As far as I can recall, he's never been a free agent, and he's in line for a mega-extension sometime this offseason that will put the kibosh on all that "underpaid" talk about him.
  12. And that's assuming he plays all 16 games... a big if.
  13. I wonder if he'll put a fake punt in the playbook.
  14. I stopped trusting players with that "hometown discount" or "I'll give them a chance to match" crap after Biscuit bolted to Atlanta. IIRC, he promised the Bills they would have a chance to match any offer if they'd let him test the waters, so they gave him the opportunity. Next time they heard from him, he was under contract to the Falcons.
  15. Peyton Manning would kill Travis halfway through the season, if Travis didn't get Peyton killed first. I'd rather have Dominic Rhodes and James Mungro than Travis Henry, anyway.
  16. Nominating this shot of Frank Middleton as the most embarrassing one in the list. And some people here wanted to SIGN this guy!
  17. Mike Williams being on that list is ridiculous. He just happens to be one big mofo. Even in that pic you can see he doesn't have a gut. It's one thing to be 6'2", 360. It's another to be 6'8", 360.
  18. I would drop Oakland from the list then. I know TD is the president but Ralph still has the final word and I doubt he would approve a trade with Oakland. Seeing as how we have pretty good intelligence that Miami, SF, Arizona, TB and (I think) Chicago have been involved, that leaves Oakland as the odd one out.
  19. Woosnam to be 2006 Ryder Cup cap'n I guess the Europeans are going to save money on tees in 2006.
  20. I'm sure he knows it isn't. The real "Coach" wouldn't be able to turn a computer on, let alone use a message board.
  21. OMG those are hilarious. But check it out at the end: the admin suspends a poster for a WEEK for dissing Jason White.
  22. Yeah I used to say that about Seattle. Bastards took Nate Odomes from us.
  23. Holcomb's agent is hopefully smart enough to realize that his best chance of starting this year is in Cleveland while he mentors Aaron Rodgers or Alex Smith. There just aren't any other starting spots available right now. Look for Holcomb to restructure his deal at the last minute tonight and remain in Cleveland.
  24. Note well that Jay Fiedler is not in this group.
