  1. No, I think folks are freaking out over stupid comments being mis-attributed to popular people in an effort to make the comments sound more palatable (i.e., if Robin Williams or George Carlin said this, then it MUST be good stuff).
  2. Nor did George Carlin write the xenophobic sh*t that always seems to get attributed to him, nor did Al Gore say all the things that Dan Quayle really said.
  3. That's the one I went to, although I haven't been there in a few years. I don't think it was Bobby V's back then.
  4. No, Bobby's is in Stamford, I thought.
  5. A DT in a 4-3 that I'd be happy to have playing DE in my 3-4.
  6. There is a sports bar just off I-95 in Milford where I usually sneak away if I'm stuck with my wife's family in Trumbull during the season. I forget what it's called, though. They always seem to have all the games. Might be a little hike for you though.
  7. My IP is banned by them! I must work with a BZ troll.
  8. Looks like they took it down. I wanted to watch it again!
  9. Mileage-wise, that's true. Traffic-wise? Not true. Even on a weekend, and particularly with game-day traffic, 60 miles in Southern Cal takes a hell of a lot longer to drive than 75 in WNY. I got caught in Jets game traffic once trying to get from Conn to NJ on I-95 and it was horrible. I expect the same would be true on I-5. I'm not saying it's practical. Just saying that's what true fans should do (sell their seasons to other Bills fans). I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing that someone was sitting in my seat rooting for the opponent!
  10. Yeah... what I meant was the NFC sucks so bad that the competition for the award wasn't much.
  11. He does sound reasonable... more so than that idiot in Washington who wanted $18,000 and season tickets or something like that for Livan Hernandez's glove.
  12. You do know this was Peters' second career touchdown, right?
  13. Tim Rattay had a 141 rating last week. That should tell you all you need to know about passer ratings.
  14. One nice thing is that three of TB's O-linemen are listed as questionable. Well, we always knew they were questionable, but on top of that, they're hurt, too.
  15. More evidence of how bad the NFC sucks.
  16. Baker caught the TD at the end of the half to make it 12-10. Ingram was the one who converted the third and forever on that drive. Neither should have happened.
  17. LeBeau is in his late 60s. I think he had his chance in Cincinnati and won't get another one, even if the fault was more Mike Brown's than LeBeau's.
  18. People are overlooking the most obvious landing spot for Gray: if Texas somehow effs up again and loses to OU, Mack Brown is done. Gray, a former Longhorn, would be the people's choice for the job, I think. Fortunately for Brown, the Sooners look ripe for the picking this year.
  19. And this is the all-time defense I'd go to war with: DE: Bruce Smith, Tom Sestak NT: Ted Washington OLB: Takeo Spikes, Cornelius Bennett ILB: Shane Conlan, Chris Spielman CB: Nate Clements, Butch Byrd SS: Lawyer Milloy FS: Troy Vincent That's right, I want four guys from RIGHT NOW on my all-time team. That's how good this D is.
  20. This is the linebacking corps I would want on my all-time Bills team: Outside: Takeo Spikes, Cornelius Bennett Inside: Chris Spielman, Shane Conlan Although if someone wanted to go with a foursome of Darryl Talley, Bryce Paup, Mike Stratton and Jim Haslett, I'd be hard-pressed to argue.
  21. Read what I said again. The season ticket holders should GO to the games, or sell their tickets to Bills fans. I'm not talking about non-seasons. And yes, actually, empty seats last year would have been better than seeing 20,000 pee-stained ass rags.
  22. I doubt it could be enforced, but I'd love to see some kind of rule whereby season-ticket holders get punished for selling their seats to rival teams' fans.
  23. I would have thought so too, but now you've got Stojan telling me to sit in the family section, on the 50-yard-line, or in my living room if I don't like the way he behaves at games.
