MM knows that if Ralph fires him he gets paid the last three years of his contract. It's not loyalty to his guys so much as it's loyalty to the almighty dollar. Question. Does Ralph have control over the assistants? Can he just fire them or does MM have to do it? Seems like since Ralph signs the checks he can do whatever he wants. Unless MM has something in his contract giving him control over hiring and firing his assistants.

My favorite stat is the one Rick quoted the other night in which he said that seventeen different Sabres have lit the lamp during their run. That's fuggin incredible and has to be some kind of a record. Everyone is contributing, right down to the fourth line. The AP writeup of last night's game noted that the Flyers "were missing several key players to injury, including leading scorer Simon Gagne." Nowhere did the article mention that the Sabres were also missing several key players, including two-thirds of their top line and one of their best blueliners. So nice to beat the Cryers in Filthy in front of their a$$hat fans. Toronto might be a bigger rival right now, at least in our building, but to me nothing is better than beating Philadelphia. I hate that team from the top down and the bottom up.
