He said he hasn’t talked to his brother.

I don’t think we were ever drafting Darnold. Or Baker. I think they knew Josh was their guy from the start.

TNF: Bengals vs Ravens - Who are we rooting for?
BRH replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
We also play better against the Ravens than the Bengals tbh. I’m not just thinking about making the playoffs. I want the Bengals to not be there when we do. -
We can't ignore that he's fired an OC and an ST coach to cover up his own deficiencies, plus lost another OC and DC because they hated him, and is probably on track to fire another ST coach by season's end. Marv had Walt Corey, Ted Marchibroda, and Bruce DeHaven throughout his entire tenure, pretty much, except that Marchibroda left amicably to be a HC elsewhere. Be the guy that people want to work for. He's not.

Ernest ***** Wilford in the back of the end zone.

I remember being at a game against them in the '90s in which AVP led us all the way back from a big 4th quarter deficit and we were moving for the winning score like a hot knife through butter. I mean we were going to win, no doubt. Then we dialed up a reverse to Andre that got blown up by Alfred Williams because John Fina whiffed on a block, and that was that. And of course who could forget the Just Give It To 'Em game, Home Run Throw Forward, and the playoff loss in Miami. The period between the SBs and the Drought was filled with games like that, and at the same time the Sabres were losing Cup games on goals that shouldn't have counted (Hull in the crease, LeClair through the side of the net). There is truly nothing new under the sun.

And McKelvin was in the Patriots game, not the Cowboys game. The Cowboys game was basically a foreshadowing of 13 seconds.

Gabe Davis & Cook decline to interview after the game

They also know that most fans don't give a ***** about them as human beings. And NFL contracts aren't guaranteed for most players, so if they get hurt they get bupkes -- and this is a sport with a 100% injury rate. And not for nothing, but the amount of work and dedication it takes to make it for even one second as a professional athlete (let alone become a starter or get a second contract) is beyond most people's comprehension. So I don't blame them for not giving a ***** about the fans either. They're not doing it for us. And here's a dirty secret: they never were. They do want to win, though. Most competitive athletes are just like that. But they want to win for themselves, not for us. -
Did him a favor. He'll get to spend the holidays with his family. And he'll get paid.

YES! It took a while that first year to realize it, but Flutie did it ALL the time. "I" threw a touchdown. "We" fumbled. He couldn't help himself.
-
This is absolutely the right take. And if he doesn't do it, as you say, fire him right now. But one more thing: fire the ST coach too.

Dan Orlovsky….. Bills offense is fundamentally broken

That's it! Some of our players must be so dumb they think "12 personnel" means 12 guys on the field. -

And here I thought we had invented a new way to lose a football game. We can’t even be original anymore.

You forgot getting eyerolled Please tell me the Saskatchewan coach was fired.

Think of being a defensive player on the Bills and waking up this morning, nearly unable to crawl out of bed because you gave everything you had for 37 minutes and change last night, mostly defending your half of the field with little margin for error, only to have it ripped away from you at the end due to some of the worst coaching and execution possible in the other two phases, and a blindingly stupid zero blitz called on your last play, plus having to play 10-on-11 every time Von got wheeled out there, and thinking you have to do this all over again on a short week. It’s like being a fan, except the pain is physical as well as mental.

The entire season has been the same game every time. - Open by shooting ourselves in the foot with unforced errors and/or tentative play (which go hand in hand) - Get behind for three quarters to a lesser team, all the while thinking that the next drive is the one where we wake up - Finally turn it on in the last ten minutes, take the lead - Do something inexplicably stupid on the last defensive stand, usually accompanied by crappy ST play (complementary football) - Either get a totally unsatisfying win by the skin of our teeth, or blow it in ridiculous fashion it’s ***** Groundhog Day

If anything, we didn’t score fast ENOUGH. We dicked around on the other side of the 2 minute warning. Had we scored before it, we might have had a better chance to get the ball back in the inevitable event McD’s scheme folded. I think Dorsey wanted to go right away and it was McD who made the decision to run the clock down to the warning, then McD got pissed when we scored right away after that.

It’s late and I’m working tomorrow, but I think now is a good time to start drinking.

Again.
-
Fire McDermott. Right now.
-
I’m all in favor of the offense’s execution tonight.
-
They got away with a sloppy handoff on the last drive. Not this time. Execution.
-
And third. And fourth. ***** you Dorsey.
