  1. Oh wow, I didn't put 2 and 2 together. I should have realized The Sporting News and The Sporting News Today were part of the same entity. My bad for being dumb.
  2. Wow, I wasn't expecting much from a daily online newspaper, but that was a very good read and it seems they do an excellent job with their product. My question is, how do these guys make money if the subscription is free? I mean, the paper is very in-depth and lengthy, and they do it every day, so it must be their full time jobs right?
  3. Hahaha "Buffadorks"...this guy sounds like he's the bad guy from a cheesy 80's high school movie He has to work on his insults before trolling his opposition's fansite.
  4. Even better, I've got a free ticket to any game I wish to attend (season long press pass)
  5. Yes, GO BIG RED indeed...upsetting football loss to Colgate on Saturday. I'm the most interested in women's basketball, as I do their play by play announcing. Unfortunately, the best player on the team just quit so she could focus on track. Might not make it back to the NCAA tourney this year. And I probably should be at Uris. If only I could major in TBD.
  6. F.W. de Klerk was instrumental in ending apartheid, regardless of his motives or what kind of man he was. And Arafat, well it's wrong to say he's redeemed, but the Oslo Accords were a pivotal moment at the time and I won't say those men didn't deserve the award. On another note, you seem intent on flaming me and calling into quesiton my intelligence on several topics...did I do something to offend you? I mean, in all fairness you could have stopped at "Arafat redeemed? de Klerk?"
  7. I never said I wouldn't vote for McCain because Palin is unqualified, I said I wouldn't vote for McCain because Palin is an absolute idiot. I said that Palin lists the PTA as a qualification of leadership. That was an example of an asinine thing she said, not me attacking her qualifications. Obama, on the other hand, is both intelligent and an eloquent speaker. I'd much rather have an intelligent/capable person in office than one who is qualified. You are acting as if I said I was going to vote for McCain until he chose Palin. I said that I was undecided, but leaning toward Obama and that this pushed me over the edge. Also, I lost respect for McCain when he chose Palin. Clearly, he didn't choose the best candidate for VP, he simply chose somebody who he though might garner some celebrity and perhaps steal the votes of some Hillary supporters. (This worked for a while in the polls, but doesn't seem to be any more.) And no, I'm not a Hotelie, but don't disrespect them because they work hard just like everybody else here. Besides that, I won't pander to you and defend myself as an intelligent person against your insults. From what you said about sending a check to Cornell, I'll assume you went here? Frankly that makes me more worried about the alumni than the current students.
  8. well they move in the sense that the Sun also "moves"...they appear to move due to the earth's rotation...and from a practical visible standpoint, thats analogous to movement in another regard though, the universe is expanding and EVERYTHING is moving
  9. Yeah, a great man but unfortunately not so effective as a president. I say when you get a Nobel Prize, you're redeemed though
  10. It depends upon how you define "fan". Given the sheer population of Toronto (It would be the 5th largest city in America), that statistic might be pretty close to true. But in terms of season ticket holders, people who live and die by the Bills, and people who never miss a single snap of a single game...those people are relatively concentrated around WNY and the surrounding areas.
  11. I hope, for your own sake, that this is tongue in cheek. If a candidate is not even smart enough to PRETEND that they know a single periodical (honestly, she couldn't even bullsh*t an answer and say she read Newsweek or the Wall Street Journal or anything), I don't care if that person is a woman, man, hermaphrodite, or what have you...I am NOT potentially making that person the most powerful person in the world.
  12. Arrested Development (I know it's cancelled but IMO it can never be beat. An AD re-run is better than any new show) The Office South Park Life
  13. Yeah, but standing in long lines is my version of hell
  14. Wow, he did have a good game, but offensive player of the week??? Trent was 10 times more instrumental in his team's win.
  15. Thank you very much for responding to my post of a well-written, emotionally charged article by attacking my agnostic religious beliefs and implying that I'm going to hell. I don't judge you for your beliefs, so don't judge me for mine, ok?
  16. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Apsn...o&type=lgns This is a very well written article (something I'm not familiar with seeing from Yahoo Sports) about Tim Russert and his relationship with the Bills. If there's a heaven (and I don't happen to believe there is), Russ is smiling down on his 5-1 Bills from it. Let's Go Buffalo!! And do it for Tim.
  17. I consider myself a political moderate and I am registed independent as a voter. I am not a fan of McCain, and I am not a big fan of Obama either, though I've long thought of him as the lesser of two evils. However, my mind was made up 100% to vote Obama with McCain's VP selection. The fact is that, McCain might appear to be in good health, but when you elect a 72 year old man to be president you have to accept the distinct possibility that he will die of natural causes in office. Who knows how close he is to a major stroke or heart attack? And if that was the case, then the leader of the free world would be a woman who can't name a single American periodical, considers Alaska's proximity to Russia to be foreign policy experience, and thinks being a PTA member is one of her qualifications for leadership. Besides that, she just comes across as a complete idiot whenever she speaks. I'm aware that it's partially due to her accent, which it's wrong to judge somebody about...but half of what she says is just political right-wing buzzwords. Bottomline is, I CANNOT with good conscience vote for McCain knowing his veep could very well be handed the presidency some day. Anybody with me?
  18. True that, man, true that. But we should win by more than two points IMO...
  19. You do realize that DJ Gallo does nothing but satirical material (albeit not funny) and that he isn't actually analyzing the quarterbacks? I read that chart about a week ago, but I believe his reasoning for naming Trent a game manager is that he went to Stanford. It's all just a (bad) joke.
  20. So just because Walsh met Trent before he was drafted means Walsh called the Bills before they drafted Trent? Your argument doesn't add up. Maybe our scouts just noticed the same things Walsh noticed.
  21. I don't necessarily believe people who claim to have seen alien spaceship and I certainly don't believe the nuts who claim they've been abducted. But at the same time, I certainly believe that there is plenty of life out there in the universe (and some of it intelligent)...I'm sure some of that intelligent life has been around longer than humans and has us beat technologically, so I definitely think alien visits are a possibility.
  22. He was always a d-bag in college too, I remember him getting into fights a few times on the field and there was that time he made an ass of himself by continuously saying that he was a soldier in a war.
  23. He has been incredibly injury prone and (frankly) stupid during his young career. He has an abrasive personality and would probably be a clubhouse cancer. He might very well be the most talented TE out there, but there are many issues with a trade for him and the price might be too high, certainly higher than a 3rd and change.
