  1. This is how I believe the series of events occurred. I did some wake and bake then jumped into the shower. While taking the shower, I started thinking about how when the Flinstones took a shower, it was a woolly mammoth that shot water out of its trunk, and I thought about how awesome that would be if it happened in real life. Then that thought switched to me trying to remember what the dinosaurs, mammoths, etc looked like in the movie version. Then I thought..."Hey that movie wasn't actually so bad, who played Betty again? Wait, it was Rosie O Donnell right? WTF??" so you see, it's not like I got into the shower and pictures of rosie popped up into the old noggin, there was a train of thought there.
  2. Should Miley Cyrus really be on this list? I mean, she's 15 and this is a thread about women with connotations about how we think of them in a sexual way. Miley shouldn't be underrated, overrated, or rated at all IMO
  3. He got a 42 on the Wonderlic and graduated with a 3.4 from Berkeley...
  4. Well most newspapers are seeing this kind of thing, seeing as almost everybody gets their news from television and internet these days.
  5. Hahaha wake and bake man, it's the only way to go, especially when you have a full day of class ahead. It'll open your miiiiind.
  6. Well you raise a good point, because I am 19, but I hope life doesn't make me not an idealist anymore. But I am in college, paying my own tuition ($49,000 a year) and rent, so at the end I'll be up in debt to my eyeballs. Then hopefully my education will end up with me making money. In other words, I intend to be both poor and rich during my lifetime. When I'm poor, I will need a little help. If I'm rich, I will gladly throw money back into the system to assist those in the position I used to be in.
  7. I've only been twice but I enjoyed it. One time more than the other, but there was a difference in the money available for production. You know, a lot of offensive linemen take ballet.
  8. What is America to me? The great yet flawed country in which I live. Please define what America's values are? See the Constitution. All of that. Especially the part about free speech. Notice how it doesn't mention capitalism. How did we become so powerful in such a short period of time? Unethically. See The Louisiana Purchase, The Trail of Tears, American Imperialism, etc.
  9. What about sports journalists? If you look in the Buffalo News, even the guy who just does the recap of the game does it from a biased perspective. I don't think there's a journalist out there who doesn't inject a little of himself into what he writes.
  10. No I would not. Socialism is one of those theories that looks good on paper, but is impossible to carry out. Somebody always gets greedy and wants a bigger piece of the pie, so socialism cannot work. I DO on the other hand, think that those who are suffering ought to be given aid, and if that requires a small-scale redistribution of wealth, so be it. Maybe those making more than $250,000 a year SHOULDN'T have to pay taxes at a higher percentage, but does it actually hurt them all that much? To me, it's as simple as this. Some people have enough money. Some people don't. The people that don't have enough money need extra help and in an American community where we should all help our fellow man, isn't that enough?
  11. Yes a Free Society, a society where anybody can think, feel, and speak how they want to. And that includes socialists.
  12. http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1885406 Note: This is not me endorsing Obama or attacking McCain, I just think it's funny Especially the Wes Anderson one at the end.
  13. Can I ask why you and the other conservatives here constantly use the word "socialist" as if it's meant to be some sort of insult? It's an economic philosophy shared by many many people throughout the world, but you use it as some sort of swear word. I don't consider myself a socialist, but so what if I did? If somebody is a socialist, they can still love America and its values, they just have a different opinion on how we should go about our economy.
  14. Does everybody remember that Flinstones movie they made back in the 90's? Here's my question. Why the hell did they cast Rosie O'Donnell as Betty Rubble? She was always the cute one on the show! I mean, I know it was a crappy movie but the Flinstones is a pretty major deal in American pop culture and I believe it was a relatively high budget, high grossing movie at the time. Just a thought.
  15. I remember Rome ripping on ManRam plenty this year, especially when all that sketchy fake injury stuff was going down in his last couple weeks with the Sox.
  16. Oh please, everybody knows that the only reason Estonia is undefeated (and even ranked) is because they play in the weak Baltic Conference! Who have they beaten? Lithuania and Latvia? Weak sauce, America will crush them on Saturday!
  17. Baseball, America's game and the greatest sport ever invented. IMO
  18. My point was that having respect for a person and admitting he's a war hero doesn't mean you have to respect him as a politician or want him as your president. If I'm marching into battle, who would I rather have as my leader? McCain. Leading America into the future? Obama.
  19. ROFL they don't even spell his name right! thanks for the laugh erynthered, i think we all enjoyed this
  20. You know what Barack Obama believes??? Are you inside his head?!?! Awesome! Show me some evidence that isn't from a reactionary conservative source that Obama is part of this Black Liberation Theology
  21. !@#$ing fear mongers, 7 years later and the republican camp is still using 9/11 as a tactic. They should be ashamed.
