I’d be down for Matt, but given he has no actual NFL experience, this feels like an off season type move not a playoff run move where they may want someone they know better what they will be getting and that they have experience at this level.
-
I mean he was a small DB who got trucked by a big TE, it happens. Allen trucks LBs and DL guys as a QB for example. So I think people made a little too much out of that play. PI was bad as it’s been an issue, but the INT made up for it and then he almost had a second INT later in the game. All in all, I think the PI was the only negative play really and he had some other big plays. Plus, it felt like they stopped going at him too and started targeting Cam Lewis who was a liability.
-
38% of Allen’s INTs the past 2 seasons on throws to Gabe is insane. Allen threw 0 this week. That alone made our offense better. Even 1 INT could have turned this game into a close win or narrrow loss.

This post couldn’t be more wrong in every point or more dumb. GTFOH with this nonsense.

I’m rooting for Texans and Dolphins 👀

Nah…I’d rather erase the demons and beat the he Chiefs so when we face Hou or Balt we have better shot of Rasul being fully healthy to help defend the better offense we would face. Plus Houston has a better chance to beat Balt than Miami does who got embarrassed by Balt. And if Hou beats Balt then we have home field all playoffs -
Khalil Shakir might be my offensive version of Taron Johnson
Alphadawg7 replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have been beating the drum for this kid since draft night and I love seeing him break out like he did this season. I was shocked he was still on the board in the 5th as I had missed part of the 3rd and all the 4th round of that draft. Absolutely loved the pick when we made it, I thought he could go as high as the 2nd and surely would be gone by the 3rd. So to see him get to us there was awesome and one of my fave draft night picks of the past few years. This offense is better when he gets involved, so I hope to see his touches keep going up to where they make an effort to get him the ball and call plays for him as a regular part of the offensive gameplan. I think Shakir could put up a big season if he got the targets -
Yeah thats corporate TV stuff...but it pays big so I get why he did it so long. But his "Tosh Show" he just launched has really been so good. If you haven't watched any already, definitely check out the first one where he interviews his wifes OBGYN, its great. Honestly, all of them have been great. There is a new one we haven't seen yet that just came out, but the ones before new years were all really good. Its one of our faves now for my wife and I. And she wasn't too fond of Tosh.0 either, but she loves his new format Tosh Show. You can do it as a podcast, but I recommend watching the video versions on YouTube as its fun seeing the interactions with him and his guests.
-
He was epic as a standup before Tosh.0 as I followed his career and tried to see him when ever I could as he was from this area and did lots of shows within a good distance. His Tosh.0 series was what it was, but his standup was always top notch at the comedy clubs. But this new format is great. He won't interview celerbrities and only normal people. First guest on the show is his wifes OBGYN and it was hilarious. His dog walker one was amazing too. All the episodes have been great actually, I think he has 6 now and this little quick one today. Yeah I heard he is killing on his new material on his tour and we are hoping to see him soon too! Different strokes for different folks cuz I thought that was one of the lighter jokes and rest much more funny. All good, everyone likes different things.

Gotcha, I posted it again with a proper title and even acknowledge it was probably my fault on the title even before you responded. And yeah meant nothing disrespectful, which is why I acknowledged your job isn't easy and you guys are good at it. So meant no disrespect was just more bummed people might not see this hilarious thing...you should watch it Simon, I think you will love it. Posted it as comedian on Bills, AFCE, and Jets or soemthing like that. -
Its a legendary comedian roasting Rodgers and the whole AFC East (including the Bills) with a big emphasis on Rodgers and Jets of course. Even the shots at the Bills I thought were pretty funny. Daniel Tosh is a big Dolphins fan, hence his whole connection to the AFCE. He has a new series out called the Tosh Show, which is a podcast but also does video records it. It is really funny and recommend it in general...but this one was a no guest, short, special edition he released today and it had us dying laughing! Have to admit, he even had me rolling on the Bills jokes too...

Why did this get merged and buried in this thread? This has nothing to do with McAfee show. Mods have a tough job, I get it and appreciate the work, but not everything needs to be merged into one mega thread. This was a totally different topic and its a shame its not gonna get seen more because it was comedy gold. -
Dude, you are so hung up on exaggerating and misquoting what I said. I was clearly referencing some of the years where the Pats roster was not that great and they still had tremendous success and even won SB. I didn't say all coaches would have struggled to make playoffs with Brady for 20 years. You literally have never once answered my question. What legacy does Bill Walsh have if he had Mac Jones instead of Joe Montana? You are the one totally down playing BB resume based on how he fared without Brady while totally refusing to acknowledge how poor the QB's were that he had when he didnt have Brady. Its not like prior to NE he had a sub .500 record while he had a good QB.

Not sure if you guys have seen but legendary comedian Daniel Tosh is back with a new podcast/show on YouTube and where ever you listen to Podcasts. Its actually a great show and has like 6 episodes out now where he interviews normal people and doesn't want to interview celebrities. First guest was his wifes gyno and it was hilarious and recommend watching it and all of them actually. Anyway, he just put out a special no guest special short episode today to address the Aaron Rodgers stuff and its utterly hilarious! My wife and I were dying, she is a die hard Niner fan and hates Rodgers haha. Also, if you don't already know, Danial Tosh is a big Dolphins fan which is where this is coming from. This is about 8 min and is hilarious, even the fun jabs he has with Bills and Pats in the early parts were funny. But its mostly a FU to Rodgers and the Jets hahaha. ENJOY! -
I mean I wouldn't say all Cassels given Joe Theisman is an NFL MVP. And the other 2 years they won, Rypien and Doug balled out in the playoffs. But I do think Gibbs needs more love as an all time great HC than he gets. Tomlin is overrated. You guys think McD pisses you off with in game bone head decisions, go watch Steelers games. Tomlin is notorious for stupid decisions. Who I would choose as a HC is highly dependent on the full roster makeup. If I got a lot of offensive pieces outside the QB and a marginal or worse D, then the offensive HC likely makes the biggest impact right away and can scheme around the strengths and weaknesses of the offense. If the defense is the strength of the team, then a defensive HC to maximize that strength makes more sense for immediate success. But I would take BB over any of the available candidates. 100 times over Tomlin...he doesn't belong in any convo with BB. Reid is seen as this great mastermind now...but why? Because of Mahomes. He had McNabb who has a HOF case regardless if anyone thinks its strong enough or not strong enough. Yet no SB's despite 5 straight NFC championship games. The fact you mention Reid now that he has elevated his status on the back of Mahomes says everything about why a HC and his legacy is tied to his QB.
-
What is Bill Walsh without Joe Montana? Have you looked at who the other QB's were that he worked with outside of Brady? Show me what HC has a winning record with those losers. Second, if you think the Pats had a stacked roster all 20 years that Brady was there then you are kidding yourself. Brees is a top 10 QB all time and he struggled to make the playoffs several years because just having an all time great QB doesn't just mean you are a playoff lock of SB lock. I get the bias hatred for BB around here, but literally you, nor anyone else, has yet to make a single point that wouldn't ALSO discredit every other all time great HC by taking away his QB. Sorry...no HC is above .500 with the QB's he had outside Brady. And no HC in the HOF has the same career if they had Mac Jones level QB's to work with their whole career. And more importantly, they won SB's back when Brady was a game manager too, in fact that was there most dominant dynasty run with 3 SB wins in 4 years. Like there is no logical argument to discredit BB and his accomplishments. Now I need to go take shower to watch the ick off me after people here made me defend BB.
-
Every HC is a sub .500 HC with the losers BB had before and after Brady. Why is this point so hard to grasp? There are not great HC's who had HOF resumes with Mac Jones level QB's. This idea that you want to discredit BB accomplishments because of his QB means you need to do the same for Bill Walsh, Jimmy Johnson, etc. Even Andy Reid was "overrated" and a "choker" after he left Philly going to the NFCCG 5 times to only reach a SB once and lose. Now he is "the greatest offensive mind ever" and one of the "GOATS" - Why? Because he has the next GOAT in Mahomes. Sorry...there is no case to discredit BB that you can't also apply to every other great HC of all time who had multiple SB wins and sustained success like BB had...well no one has ever had the resume BB has, so we will just say sustained success.
-
Why is that only applied to BB though? Where are the list of HC's winning multiple Super Bowls with the Matt Cassels of the world?
-
But what is Bill Walsh legacy if he doesnt have Montana and has a series of scrubs at QB? I mean this is a silly notion...QB is the most important position in all of team sports, of course a HC needs a QB to have sustained high level success. What BB did over and over in NE with rosters that most coaches would have struggled to get into the playoffs let alone make 9 SB's winning 6 is astonishing and may never happen again. He still won 11 games with a QB who literally had not started a game since high school. BB may be hated, be he gets his flowers as a HC and is without question one of the GOAT's if not the GOAT.
-
I mean this is true for any great HC in history. Never seen a great HC have a long and great career without a QB. Why people want to discredit BB solely is always puzzling to me. Jimmy Johnson was sensational in Dallas and was so meh in Miami that people barely remember he coached there. Andy Ried was a "choker" in Philly and now an all time great with Mahomes. The list like this is miles long. In very rare circumstances, you can win a SB with a sub par QB if the rest of the team is elite like the Ravens did with Dilfer. But sustained success and multiple SB wins like BB has is only accomplished if he has a QB. Many great coaches have been just ok, pedestrian, forgettable, or outright bad when they no longer had a QB either because the QB retired or the coach was now coaching elsewhere.

A 4th down throw into the EZ is not a suitable substitute for a punt
Alphadawg7 replied to AKC's topic in The Stadium Wall
THIS. Really don’t see the point of the OP here. Once it’s snapped it’s always better to heave the ball down field if you don’t have a way to convert and hope our guys downfield make a play or if not, maybe they DB will be dumb enough to intercept it.
