  1. This was my response. I was screaming at the screen, calling bull **** about a great number of calls, and a few noncalls like a few cases of offensive holding and Stevie getting drilled after the play and getting a non-call. Even if that last one was iffy, the Bills earned that one. And everything else on that drive was beautiful.
  2. I agree. cathcing that would have been horrendous
  3. Now that I'm back home: OH MY F**KING GOD, DID YOU SEE THAT?
  4. If you have a smartphone, you can stream radio though apps.
  5. I'm reminded about the scene from "The Natural" where they do the self help seminar, while completely underestimating their best player.
  6. I'll wait until after Week 4 to say that for sure. I'd like to see Brady lose a game without Amendola or Gronk back. Of course, they're lucky because they got to start their injured and rookie filled season by playing 1) Bills 2) Jets 3) One of the few teams capable of losing to the Jets. Still...Brady did not look good. It used to be that these kind of conditions wouldn't matter. The Pats might lose, but Brady looking shaky two weeks in a row?
  7. interesting. i doubt we will be missing ross, but this makes it seem like they want to keep brooks and goodwin week to week. pettine seems to like people who can play press.
  8. so, pretty much confirming that it will be in the 6-8 week recovery range, while about two weeks in...
  9. ...you know, if the Jets somehow squeeze out another upset win, this time on the Patriots, I may go crazy.
  10. Ok, so Hackett starts off with a series of plays, designed to point out what the defense is doing and what matchups they like, then give Manuel free rein? I like that concept.
  11. To be fair, they should have been up by a lot more than that. The Eagles, near the end of the first half when I stopped watching, had a lot of problems getting first downs. The Redskins started battering Mick Vick as the half went on. The scheme relies a lot of backward passes and we saw what can happen there on the first drive. The Eagles also got a ridiculous amount of turnovers and excellent field position. They're good, but there are certainly flaws. Especially when pressure was getting generated.
  12. Ok I Don't want to be a complete homer, but if this is true then the two single best passes EJ pulled off were the ones where he called the play himself. Of course we don't know what bad plays he might have called himself, but it would seem like there is some merit to looking into bringing back the k gun.
  13. Yes. But seriously, why is it that it seems that Manuel's best plays of the game seem to come when his radio is out?
  14. How about we let the man play a game first?
  15. All I have to say is: Holy Cr@p! Seriously. I finished the first quarter and when I looked again the thing was a blowout. It's a decent portent for when we play the Ravens week 4, I know it's Peyton Manning under center, but that many touchdowns is enough to give a defensive coordinator a heart attack.
  16. it's fun looking back on this topic when last year at this time we were angsting about how brooks had to go onto pup because he looked so good in preseason.
  17. I would like to see Brooks on Amendola, which is what I'm hoping they mean with him as #1. Brooks on the outside is a NIGHTMARE, but he's small and quick, and ot would seem that he matches up well on the small and quick Amendola. McKelvin and whoever is on the outside should be an average match against whoever the Pats put at WR and I can see Rodgers on Sudfield.
  18. Remember how people were talking about how we should take flynn for a draft pick? maybe should offer one for him now to be a backup...or wait for him to be cut.
  19. this does seem like the formula. if the pats are without gronk amendola is their biggest recieving threat and our safeties and nickel cb's have a good shot against him. burton is apparently good at jamming at the line of scrimmage. it actually seems as if the bills depleted outside corners actually match alright against the outside wrs of the pats. for years brady has done his best work over the middle with welker, gronk and and hernandez.
  20. That sounds a bit more grassy knoll than I'd like to give credit for. But at this point, we've been waiting so long for the season to start any hype is something.
  21. Hey, why should Stevie say anything that would make the Patriots spend extra resources to shut him down! It's not like we have two incredibly fast receivers who can take the top of the defense and a running back who almost demands 8 men in the box. What will those three do if Stevie gets locked down?
  22. Yeesh, lotta hate on here. I can't say that the signing lights the world on fire for me, but if it means that Aaron Wilson (who looks at home at SS) can take a quick spell back at CB, I'm for it. He should go back the moment Gilmore is healthy, but considering the condition of our secondary, I don't think we're in the position to be picky.
  23. Initial Reaction: "...what? You gotta be fu*ckin'" kidding me!" Modified Reaction: "...oh. So, we're likely to cut one of them once Hopkins is healed and we have a half decent option come Sunday. Carry on."
  24. I know it's not certain, but I simply can't imagine a situation where Jeff Tuel is the only healthy QB on the roster. It sounds like an incredible amount of risk
