It's mind boggling to me how many people seem puzzled at the coaches' gowing reviews of Merriman. A good coach doesn't care about providing correct information to fans (and other teams) through the media. A good coach uses the media as just another motivational tool. In doing so, it may often be to his benefit to include some information that's not true, or partially true.

He is not worth any pick. He hasn't been able to stay healthy for years, and he looked mediocre at best against Mineesota's backups last week.

I liked Terriers a bunch, I think that was also on the same network. It's worth noting that Terriers was not about a dog, or dogs.

Maybe they will, but it's still a bannable offense in the NFL.

The bolded part makes me wish DC Tom was around to call you some names. As far as his resume, I look at it very differently. To my eye, it looks like he's taken some guys who were at projected to be at best career backups, and made them into average starting quarterbacks. (Not great, or even good quarterbacks, just average starters.)

Consider me brainless. I already will get to watch all the preseason games through NFL Network on DirecTV (although delayed) so it's not worth 20$ for me. If it were regular season, that would be another story.

Yeah, mine was definitely my own stupidity. On my third date with my (now) wife, I took a sharp corner going way too fast, on a wet back road, driving a deathtrap (Geo Metro.) The car ended up skidding 270 degrees, and we wound up ass end in a ditch. During the spin out we missed a tree by a couple of feet, if we had hit it I'm thinking one or both of us would have been killed or at least seriously mangled. Afterwards, I pushed the car out of the ditch on my own (it was a Geo.)
