  1. I always liked Choice when he was in Dallas and LOVED that he signed here--- aside from Mike Tolbert in Carolina, he may be the best 3rd string RB in the league. I'm genuinely touched by his comments in the postgame video, although it's perhaps they're the kind of thing that someone says in every lockerroom postgame rah-rah speech and we're just not privy to it. Regardless, my enthusiasm for the 2012 season has slowly been rekindled throughout the early part of this week and that speech injected a nice spike. Hats off to these guys if they can right the ship--- cohesiveness and gelling are still possible. Then again, I'm well into a bottle of wine!
  2. That may as well be the Buffalo Bills organizational Mission Statement.
  3. Watt is slightly more hyped than Dareus, but by no means is he "much more productive". Dareus was essentially the lone bright spot on the defense for much of last season--- it's no small thing for a rookie DT to get 5.5 sacks, particularly on a **** D.
  4. You're being more than a little harsh in characterizing it as a "blunder"--- he went all out to keep the ball from crossing the line. If he didn't, it would've bounced into the endzone anyhow. It was a difficult play, and his outstretched leg barely scraped the line.
  5. It's much more impressive that he's excellent on the field--- the Pro Football unemployment line is littered with workout warriors.
  6. That's true--- strangely, playoff tiebreakers and division tiebreakers are not built on the same logic. It's something that seemed to come up every year when the Bills were still mathematically in contention toward the end of each season from 2002-2008 or so.
  7. It's a step--- if confidence was an issue with the defense then this win may help in that regard. The QB, on the other hand...
  8. Learning a new system with a handful of new players shouldn't lead to historic defensive collapses in consecutive weeks--- otherwise your post is spot on.
  9. "People" are tired of consistent mediocrity. I haven't given up on the Bills, but I hate what I've seen in their 3 losses and in some of their wins--- like today. The Bills did appear to give up in the previous 2 games--- if that doesn't upset you then I don't know what would.
  10. The defense had plenty of lapses today--- Arizona's O is probably the worst the Bills will play all season.
  11. Kind of but not really--- in typical Buffalo Bills fashion, even when we have the best record in the division, we're still in last place!
  12. LOL--- for !@#$'s sake.
  13. Odd that Silva was on the Bills' practice squad for a month or so last year--- and now he's back. The name doesn't ring a bell.
  14. Since last Sunday I keep thinking the same thing--- I'm not sure how far away the Bills are from fielding a competitve roster, but it feels as though we're further away than they've ever been. In all seriousness, when they started the 2010 season 0-8, they were very competitive and felt much closer than right now. After 2 seasons they should be knocking on the doorstep, not stepping on a rake in the backyard.
  15. Ray Bentley's greatest achievement! Excellent reference.
  16. This was discussed in the shoutbox last night--- it's likely that his perspective is weighted by the recent death of his brother.
  17. You're clearly not a true fan.
  18. Even if the Bills did trade for him, he wouldn't be given enough reps in Gailey's offense until 2014.
  19. I'd rather bring back Chuck Knox--- and I think that'd be a terrible idea.
  20. This is undoubtedly true, and there is precedent for teams starting off disasterously and righting the ship--- but 3 of the first 5 games in that 16 game season have been unmitigated tire fires. Like K9 said, 2-3 was a plausible record to start off the season for even an optimistic Bills fan, but the way they got to 2-3 is embarrassing to say the least.
  21. Brian Billick was so desperate to get back into the NFL he openly campaigned for the job--- I bet even he'd think twice now.
  22. Honestly, I thought we'd have a shot at winning outright back in April--- at the very least I thought it would be a tight, low scoring game.
  23. What is the deal with injuries and this team? Since 2006 I'm not sure any team has seen more long term injuries or IRed players.
  24. If eball and PTR are this down then I can't blame anyone for feeling pessimistic. I am generally ultra positive regarding the Bills, but it's been almost beaten out of me.
