  1. Ugh, imagine the annoyance when he tears that league to shreds and we get to hear clueless announcers call the Bills dumb for giving up on him.
  2. How in the world do I not remember that touchdown?
  3. Well, then, It's official: I'm watching the UFL.
  4. To me, this news trumps everything else today.
  5. I think you answered your own question. ESPN's refusal to report on civil cases has been long-standing, apparently. McIntyre's was a criminal case. I can see both sides of the argument.
  6. It's always 40 time. Ayo!
  7. Thanks for clearing things up, Dean. I just can't believe nobody has posted this mind-blowing information earlier. Teams tend to win more games if they have a top 10 defense. I never thought of it that way. Do other teams know about this? They should. Everybody should try be a top 10 defense, then, I assume. Maybe I'm just still confused.
  8. Wait -- slow down -- so what you're saying is that if a team has a good defense, its chances of making the playoffs increase? Hold on, I need to look into this revelation a little deeper.
  9. From Charlotte Observer writer Scott Fowler's blog: Panther ticket guru Phil Youtsey told me today that he expects the hottest sellers to be the regular-season games vs. Philadelphia (the season opener on Sept.13), Washington (Oct.11), Atlanta (Nov.15) and Buffalo (Oct.25). "The Buffalo one surprises me," Youtsey said, "but that's what I've been hearing. There are a lot of transplants out there who want that game. Plus, it's a 4 p.m. start in October, which a lot of people like." _____ I've already purchased my block of 20 from StubHub, with all but seven of those tickets reserved for friends who are making the trip down from Western New York. Let's see if we can fill half of Bank of America Stadium with Bills fans. You going?
  10. If that's sarcasm, that's awesome.
  11. Here are some good ones. I always chuckled when I saw the guy who always wore the Mark Kelso jersey at Bills games.
  12. Not sure if I'd use "a lot" there.
  13. Sure, winning is everything. My point is that even if they were to sell another 5-10K more season tickets, the way the system is set up, that will eventually just be a drop in the bucket compared with revenue-driving teams. That's why I say it would be a shot in the arm in the short term, but wouldn't work long-term, in my opinion.
  14. Oh, I know. I'm just saying nobody in charge of a tournament should ever put the cart in front of the horse like that. And that little bit of news should be something said when they're handing him the trophy.
  15. Oh no! That's the good news he should receive AFTER the fact, not before!
  16. But what would another renovation do for the Bills' long-term viability? They aren't going to sell more luxury boxes, and they're not going to sell more seats, no matter what amenities they add.
  17. Right. It would certainly be a shot in the arm in the short term, but isn't viable for the long term.
  18. On the fifth day of Springsteen, my true love gave to me...
  19. The current stadium has 35 events scheduled from now until the end of the year alone. That's less than half a year. That being said, I'm not sure if some of those events will shift to different venues once the new stadium opens. Still, I get your point.
  20. The new Giants Stadium will be used a lot more than 16 times a year, counting non-football events, but I understand your point.
  21. I would assume so. She and ESPN have said as much...
