I've seen a lot of fascination on here about how Bills fans think Mort hates the bills because they fired his butt buddy TD. Take a lot at the "experts" picks. He's the only guy that thinks the Dolfags are going to win this week. Amazing. Looking closer at his week to week picks...the only games he said we were going to win were Oakland and Saint Louis. Incredible. According to Mort's predictions, we should have been 2-4 right now. AND get beat by the Dolfags and drop to 2-5! Hilarious. What's even funnier is that the bastard is sitting at an overall 69-33 record for picks so far...leading his peers. Sorry if this was already reported beforehand, or if some of you think this is a non-story subject, but I thought it was pretty funny. But I guess I'd rather have the guy say we're gonna lose if its been working so far.

Dont forget the Dolfaggots' second and third leading receivers are TEs Anthany Fasano and David Martin...both 6'4 260 with 480 yds and 3 TDs between them. They BOTH have better stats than the ever so average Robert Royal. Sure, they don't have much speed but since they are a big part of their offensive gameplans, the Bills staff might be thinking that they want use Scott to neutralize Pennington's safety valves, forcing him to look elsewhere. We'll see how it turns out.

Not trying to be a dick or tell you how to raise your kids here, but why aren't you forcing the fear of god into them to be buffalo sports fans? we can always use new recruits. my guess you live in that area and you want your kids to be able to go to the games of their favorite teams. and perhaps you don't want your kids to feel the pain, agony, despair and hopelessness it feels to be a bills fan most of the time.

15-30 crowd? Not trying to hate, but those in the 15-30 crowd grew up in the 90s when the rivarly was still great, and they saw how pissed off their fathers and uncles and grandads got the week before we played them. I think the rivalry's still on, and it will only get better in the next few years. Everybody knows the Dolfaggots are going to be good, its just a matter of time. Parcells is a proven builder...maybe he can't win playoff games (certainly hasn't proved SB winners since the Giants) but he builds teams from the ground up. If he hadn't left Dallas, they'd probably be 7-0 right now and a good chance for the SB. But you watch, this rivalry will heat up again. Dolfags have a lot of promise in them...they're not supposed to be winning yet but they've showed a lot of promise, played hard, and showed some balls with the wildcat that has turned heads around the league. New England's sun is setting, and once Favre heads out of New Jersey, the Jeturds will be done once again. This rivalry will come back..you wait. Who knows, if they beat us this weekend, I'm sure on Monday EVERYONE on this board will be explaining how the rivalry is back and how much we hate em.

Let me fix this for you about Muslims: Radical Muslims are Extremists, not Muslims, regardless of what their propaganda machine produces. I'll not bother debating the theology of it with you, because you'd likely not understand. But the fact is they're about as Muslim as the Moonies are. /sarcasm off See bud, it can go both ways. Just because the mainstream group denounces a particular radical element of their group or religion, it does not mean that they are wholly not a part of that religion anymore. Mormons do think that they are a part of Christianity, in fact that think that they are the PERFECT and most correct Christian belief system... just like every religion thinks that their belief system is the best. It is the same with Muslims and their problems with extremists. Every religion has extremist elements, but that doesn't mean that the entire relgious group is extremist. By your token, just because Mormons are "evil" doesnt mean that Christianity as a whole is evil.

Everyone here needs to remember that Jimmy Page is the same guy that said Donte Whitner was an "average" safety, Marshawn Lynch was "overrated." Now you're saying Jim Kelly was a bad quarterback? The guy practically invented the no huddle offense. Just because he didnt win a superbowl doesn't mean he was a poor player, or people are blind to his failures. Every single thread Jimmy Page posts in, the subject matter changes from what was actually being talked about to jimmy's ridiculous analysis and views about players and this team. I'm not trying to pile on you here Jimmy, but from the above mentioned information, you are the definition of a troll. It could be a number of things, as some of you have mentioned: his injury situation, the injuries to LBs and our CBs which require bigger bodies, maximizing Donte's coverage skills, emergence of Scott or maybe he just isn't recovering from his injury well enough (both from last year and the hamstring this year). I've always liked Ko, thought he was a steal in the draft, and I've said before I thought he had a better rookie year than Donte. But, unlike us fans, coaches must separate themselves from emotional attachment to a certain player. Cavatolos' assessment is a little telling though. Now about this AP quote: "As for the odd-man out, that would be Ko Simpson, the former starting free safety who has watched his playing time diminish this season and spent the past week nursing a hamstring injury. As it now stands, Simpson has not only lost the starting job but he's fallen to fourth on the depth chart behind George Wilson." I wouldn't read too much in AP reporting. Remember, these are guys that rarely watch our games, and rely on scattered highlights, stats and not reliable depth charts to write their stories about particular teams. I've seen plenty of AP stories where the authors completely butcher their arguments with old or unreliable information that they received from the above listed sources, rather than actual analysis of games. If anything, we should rely on local sources that actually watch games. I'm sure everyone already knows this. But it is hard to believe Ko would have fallen below Wilson...too much talent....but sometimes depth charts put starters or better players to the bottom when they're hurt. This could probably turn out real well for the bills. I remember a handful of plays last year where Scott in limited time came up with a big tackle, usually for loss. He was a pretty good starter his first couple of years in Atlanta, kinda like what seems a Ko Simpson story playing out, but for some reason they decided to get rid of him and he had to journeyman around the league. At the same time, this could really maximize Donte's skills-- this could help out our CBs while also increasing Donte's INT totals. We will see. Either way, I hope this really pisses off Ko (in a good way like Greer or Youboty this past offseason) and forces him to step up his game.

hey don't forget Rob Gronkowski out of arizona..kid went to williamsville north high school in amherst. pretty good talent, but at 19 and a sophmore, probably would stay in school a couple more years. He's also got a brother thats a TE at Maryland thats a senior, but not as much talent or upside.

This calls into question the limits one will go to support your team. Everybody knows your fanhood (and manhood) is called in to question when you leave a game early. Jim Kelly proposed, and made it a Man Law Crime, to leave the scene of a game early. But with urine soaked shoes and socks? Tough one there. But (bear with me here) how many of you would allow someone to piss all over your shoes and socks if you were guaranteed to watch a game like the one that happened on Sunday? Guaranteed! I'm sure there are some here who would eat sh*t if they knew the Bills would win a game in that fashion. As sick as it sounds (and embarrassingly), I think I would be the first one to sign up for the pee on my leg proposition. The sh*t eating might go too far though. I'll reserve that for the Super Bowl. In other News, how pissed (haha play on words) does Mr. Trumbull have to be at his wife after opening the paper and reading about how she airs his dirty laundry (LITERALLY!) to the rest of Western New York. I'm sure he's getting ribbed about it at work as we speak. But he should be! You never leave the scene of the game until its absolutely over. Jim Kelly says so. It's Man Law. Jim Kelly's word is the final say. Therefore, it is a punishable offense. Since this guy probably planned to leave early anyways (and since he shows a propensity to leave) he got what he deserved.

I don't think it's illegal or anything of Favre to do so. I'm quite certain he is not the first player, nor the last, that would do something like this. Case of being a dick? Hell yes. I find it hard to believe that ESPN would refuse to talk about it because they are afraid of making Brett Favre angry. That sounds absurd. While a lot of ESPN guys love to slob on Farve's knob (ie Tony K among others), I do remember quite a few that called Favre petulant and selfish for making a laughing stock of the franchise all summer long. I would think the opposite of this would be quite true. You could argue that people who consistently draw ratings and headlines (yes even Favre) would be more susceptible to wild rumors of poor behavior/judgment than no-namers. Hey the media's the media, and they will throw any guy under the bus, regardless of how nice or personable he is, to sell advertisements. But you never know. If there is proof that ESPN did such a thing (I almost never believe anything rotoworld says before I see it confirmed elsewhere), then I don't know. I think ESPN loves to jump on the Favre bandwagon, but I don't think they are immune to criticizing him. My two cents.

Kind of accurate but the wrong award. He won the SEC Defensive Rookie of the Year...not player of the year but still mighty impressive in arguably the best conference in the nation. I think it might have been more about his pulled hammy (and subsequently lack of range because of it) than because of personnel. That being said, props to Perry and Dick and the rest of the coaching staff for knowing their players, understanding their strengths and weaknesses, and having the balls (and the locker room's support) to tell a guy who has started every game he's played that he needs to take a seat for the betterment of the team for a week. Pretty amazing, when you think of it. How many other teams, with their ego's and poor character filled locker rooms, would be able to tell a sold vet to take a seat without causing an uproar? Maybe I'm exaggerating this point, but I don't think you can name too many. In addition, we've know proved that we have excellent safety depth, along with a crazy Donte Whitner who can apparently play every secondary position on the field - still can't believe how amazing that is! Having Scott play only forces Miami coaches and the rest of our opponents to take a look at another player in an attempt to find his tendencies/weaknesses. Hats off to the coaching staff! But I do still hope that this pisses of Ko in a good way, makes him never to want to come of the field again.

I really like Ko Simpson. I thought he was a steal in the draft 2 years ago; I remember reading about him going as a potential 1st rounder. I loved the guy his rookie year, thought he actually played better than Donte (BLASPHEMY! I know). I was real sad when he got hurt last year. I understand the Bills had a strategy for this game...they didn't like the size mismatches between Gates and our secondary, and believed Scott would be better suited to go up against him, since he's 6'1 220. I've liked Scott too, he was good in Atlanta and was real surprised when we picked him up. Last year he was good for one or two great tackles in a game, usually for a loss. But what does this REALLY mean for Ko? I know he had a nagging injury from before the bye, and he is a lot smaller than Scott. But I don't think any player would be too pleased when he is told by coaches they are going to bench him because of size and matchup reasons, not because of past performance. Do you guys think he has played well this year? Do you think the coaches might not think he's playing up to his potential? I am under the impression that he has been pretty good, solid but not spectacular. It obviously takes some time to come back to your old self when an injury keeps you out a whole season, and some of you might think it has shown. Remember, he is really in only his second year in the league, so there is room for improvement. I hope this benching did really piss him off, and lights a fire under him to rise up to be better than just a solid player. Your impressions/thoughts? I tried searching this subject, and couldn't find anything on Ko, so if there is already a topic, I am sorry a hundred times over.

Reed did screw up. He got up, noticed the ref's call, grimaced and got in the refs face. I don't remember a ball being thrown, I just thought he accosted the ref. I remember that call and thinking, "WTF are you thinking Andre." But we were driving, and I had no doubt in my mind that Flutie was going to win that game for us, one of his bootleg scrambles or something. Then armstrong came crashing in. I remember that play...it was like it was in slow motion...sitting there screaming at the TV - "NO Dougie, throw it away, get rid of it, git rid of it, AWWW Sh*T!" as he was crushed and fumbled the ball away, along with our playoff hopes. God that was so long ago, but that play still sends a chill down my spine every time somebody brings it up.

Everyone has to realize this Jimmy Page guy has made foolish statements before. He's the same guy that calls Donte Whitner garbage and overrated. Did he look overrated and garbage when he was manning every secondary position on the field on sunday? I didn't think so. I also remember him calling Marshawn overrated before, because "his stats say so." This has to be one of the most Chris Carteresque comments I've heard so far on this board. Do you even watch the games Jimmy? Our OL run blocking has been terrible so far. As soon as Marshawn touches the ball, he has two defenders in his face on almost EVERY DOWN. But how many times a game do we see him get tackled for a loss? Maybe one or two. Any other running back would give up with 2 guys in his face behind the line, but Marshawn Lynch fights harder to get back to the line of scrimmage than almost any back in the league. Everyone hear knows he never shies away from contact, and rarely gets taken down after the first hit. Marshawn Lynch is hands down the hardest runner in the game. Some people might give that title to Marion Barber, but the fact is that Barber runs so hard and is so physical that he wears himself down by the 4th quarter, and he becomes ineffective if he doesnt have another guy taking snaps. Just watch the Giants Cowboys playoff game last year for evidence, or a handful of Cowboys games from this year. Marshawn runs hard and plays physical for ALL QUARTERS. I never see this kid give up. And I think he could carry the ball 30-35 carries a game; can't exactly say the same thing about Barber. Let me leave you with one thought: Could you imagine if both Lynch and Peterson traded draft positions? Can you imagine how nasty Marshawn would be behind the Vikings line, arguably one of the best in the game? I'm sure Peterson would be a great back in Buffalo, but I could hardly imagine him being as successful as Marshawn has been so far. I don't know what you're smoking Jimmy. And I do call into question your bills fan knowledge if you question the grit of marshawn lynch. I guess you just have to ramble on...

Hey there seems to be a lot of Raliegh and NC people here. I'm coming to town for the state fair with the woman (Kill ME NOW) and i need to find a bills bar in Cary or Durham. I think I was told Raliegh was too far away. Anybody know about any bars that play bills games in this area, or at least play enough football games where I could tell em to change the channel?

You guys all realize that the candidates proposals are just that right? PROPOSALS!!! What both candidates are saying now and what they will actually do in a few months are two completely separate things. Don't forget that any change will have to pass both the House and the Senate, which both sides will most likely BUTCHER any bill or proposal either candidate presents. I don't expect a whole lot to change, whoever wins.

I don't know why people care about this "problem" with out of town fans. Can't take a little abuse? Guess what? Don't come to the Ralph! How about that for advice. I've gone to Philly and I've gone to the Meadowlands (both Jets and Giants games) and I knew going in their would be verbal abuse and the like. I thought it was hilarious, yelled a little back, and smiled at all the bastards when our team scored. I'm the first to admit that I treated the Pitt fans in front of me like sh-- at that finale a couple years ago, and I hope they went home and said so. The reason: Don't come back to Buffalo next time! Obviously the drunken behavior that turns violent needs to be curbed, but I'm all for the verbal assaults. Once again, don't come to our stadium if you can't handle a little fun.

Sorry to be an instigator here, but you could hardly call LJ a "character player," and he definately went to Penn State. Same goes for all those lineman that went to PSU that end up as busts in the NFL...
