  1. I for one will admit, I have no idea how the scouts project a college DE to ILB, but is there Any chance he could move to OLb? Seems like he is bad in coverage and a good pass rusher - With Poz/Davis/Mitchell we are alright inside, and Kelsay/Ellis are currently our starters outside
  2. Well see, there ya go. Its 10.1095 per year, idiot!
  3. I noticed him have some great pulls on a number of plays. That seems to be a strength of his, which should work well with Spillers outside runs. Now if only we could get our interior to open up some holes inside, then we would be looking very good.
  4. He only played well vrs some backups and guys who wont make the Bengals roster. He barely played vrs the firsts and when he did he generated little to no pressure. He is starting to play better agaisnt the bums though. I guess thats something to be excited about?
  5. Screw that, I want McNiel. Another WR wont help this team win - see 2009. After that, trade for Mankins...
  6. WHy not the PUP list? Thast good through week 6 I believe
  7. K Williams is good, but I may give it to McGee. With all the hype Revis has, McGee is not much worse, may eve be better IMO. Put him on that Jets team with that pass rush and he may very well be.
  8. The fact that he hasnt been signed angers me more than anythign he did wrong. I wish the Bills would sack up and sign this kid. -We need him as much as he needs us -The Bills have almost no media exposure, so his singing would not get as much attention here as other teams -Even bad publicity is good publicity. -Anyone who reads that article would have a hard time hating on the kid. Lets just say he would be on the team if I were in charge.
  9. They have a very strong OL too. I could asee us adding one of their G/C castoffs to replace our depth guys.
  10. Rhea had a strong performance on two days practice last game. If it continues this game, I see him making the team over Hardy. Hardy hasnt shown much of anything.
  11. He is an athlete much more than he is a QB. I cant think of a single NFL caliber pass he has read/thrown/completed.
  12. I agree with everythign you say but the last sentence. Its no suprise to me that McCoy/Lefevour are struggling, Snead has already been cut, and that the top 3 are Bradford/Tebow/Clausen. It was fairly easy to see that happening. McCoy Im sure will be given the benifit of the doubt and I dont see him being cut. Locker/Mallet/Pryor scare me. Pryor is a WR in this league if I am a scout - remember that fade rout he ran as a Frosh in the bowl game? He is a Calvin Johnson type athlete. Luck I hope and pray comes out. Ponder is in a make or break year but is not a top 10 guy. If Clausen can go in the second Ponder will too. I am really hoping for a chance at Luck or a LT next year. Maybe even a OLB for our 34. PS: I wonder how my late round Gem QB Jarret Brown is doing? He went undrafted but was picked up by the 49ers. Anyone seen him in PS action?
  13. Leave it to the Bills to draft a pass rushing specialist, who needs to learn to rush the passer, in the top 10(11)!
  14. Moorman's grade would make him an "average starter" when in reality he is one of the top 3-5 punters in the league. Also having Kelsay rated as a higher score than K. Williams is commical. These rates are a bit suspect, seems to me like they havnt watched enough games to make accurate assesments.
  15. Who is going to defend Chan when he starts sucking? Certainly not Edwards...
  16. I thought it was related to the surgery that put him on the IR to end last season. Something about needing further fixing and/or an infection.
  17. Also: http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2010081952/2010/PRE2/colts@bills/tab-post-analyze/cat-post-playbyplay#tab:analyze/analyze-channels:cat-post-playbyplay Check out the play by play from the last game. Spiller had his nice TD run. What a GREAT run. He got in to the second level, made a guy missed and was off. Yet look at this next few carries. a dive to the right for no gain (stopped in the backfield). Then a play totally blown up for a 6 yard loss. Another run to the left for 1 yard. The one play Spiller has a hole he scores a 30 yard TD, the ones he doesnt he averages negative yards rushing. Adding Mankin to the interior will increase the # of those nice long runs we want to see because he may actually get past the line of scrimmage before he has to break some tackles. Thats why the jets can run the ball.
  18. At least he mans up and cuts them. This team has had Kelsay as a starter since he came into the league, Ellsion is still on the roster, and they are still giving Maybin the benifit of the doubt. Why cant we move on and get someone on the roster who might contribute in a positive way?
  19. I know we have 2 guards, but we dont have a Center (startign quality at least). Wood could move to C. We also have NO DEPTH. Hangman could be the primary backup at all 3 positions. I also dont think spending a 2nd on a G is a mistake. That is good value for one of the best in the league. Byrd is a good S and one of the best picks the Bills have had this millenium, so to use him as a measuring stick is assinine. Levitre is a G, who the bills traded up for (spending more than a 2nd round pick), and Troup is a rookie NT who I bet wont start every game in his career and not miss a single game due to injury/suspension/etc. (a feat Mankins has accomplished career to date). Poz is a mainstay on this team and was a second rounder (again we traded up, costing mroe than a 2nd). Claiming Mankins wouldnt be worth a 2nd on this team just donst make sense - you value draft picks too much if you think that. Hell, Mankins started at LT in college and was an AA. Peopl want Levitre at LT... who says Mankins wouldnt start at LT on this team?
  20. great read, and now the Bills FO logic on Why Wood is at RG and Hangman at C makes more sense to me. I would have thought C would be more important, but I will take an NFL vets word at it. Also, that is another reason I would have loved to land Bulaga. I think he could be a vrey good LT, but at RT, he could be perennial PB material. Having a mainstay at RT would allow the Bills to double the RE most plays, or at least chip with a RB or TE to that side 100% of the time. Thus getting better production from the bums we have.
  21. I think Wood is the better player, and I think that C being the more important position, our line would be better as a whole with Wood at C and Hang at RG. Wood is stronger and more physical, and considering we go agaisnt some of the best NT in the league in the AFC East I think he would be a better anchor in the center. Maybe the hang up is the line calls which Wood has little experience with? As big of a pipe dream as it is, I like the idea of trading a 2nd for Mankins that was brought up in another thread, and really solidifying our interior.
  22. I like this idea a lot- as unlikely as it is. Mankins is one of the best Gs in the league - so YES he is worth a 2nd rounder (think James Hardy). This would also allow us to move Wood to Center and beanch Hangartner, who becomes the backup to all 3 interior postions (we currently have no quality backups anywhere). With an increbily solid interior, our Ts could expect lots of help on the outside with a G sliding out or TE or RB picking up the slack. Then we could add 1 top LT, and get by with the mediore talents we have at Rt (bell/Merideth) moving forward.
  23. I think if Gailey is truely holding a QB competition then he HAS to get Brohm some reps with the 1s. He was too good last week not to get a chance. That is if its truely a competition.... The 3rd PS game is the one where starters play the most. I would like to see Edwards and Brohm alternate series through the mid 3rd. That would give Brohm the opportunity to win the job, AND put Edwards under a lot of pressure to perform - both are big positives and would help the team moving forward more than just handing the reigns to Edwards
  24. But in the Bills case, youd have one hell of a more talented team!
  25. I am so tired of hearing the "Spiller was the highest rated player" arguement. He was not the consensous BPA by any means. Plenty of other players were rated higher by some, like Dez Bryant, Brian Bulaga, Brandon Grahm, Dan Morgan, or Earl Thomas. Now clearly he was BPA to the Bills scouting staff - but what about their drafting history makes ANYONE think they were right on in their assessment? If anything, the Bills anouncing they had Spiller rated so high scares the sh*t out of me.
