  1. Hardy of course. Speaking of Hardy, I wonder if he ahs learned to run yet.
  2. This is where my hatred for instant replay began - which I was discussing in another thread. How the f*** did they not rule that a forward pass? Why waste my time reviewing it when you arent going to overturn it and make the right call anyways. Without replay I could atleast chaulk it up to "the refs just made an error and missed it - sucks for us" but no, they had to review it for what seemed like 15 minutes, then STILL MAKE THE OBVIOUS WRONG F***ING CALL!. AND BRETT HULL WAS IN THE CREASE! GOD DAMNIT! http://willfulcaboose.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/hull.jpg I hate my life
  3. So what does back to back to back to back 7-9 seasons bring?
  4. Wait, so what exactly did Ngata do?
  5. Yea, dont get me wrong, I am all for drafting 1st round QBs if they look good, but I dont see many this year. I loved M. Ryan coming out of school, and got ripped on when I told my buddy he was the next Peyton Manning. If I thought there was a good QB in this draft I would say trade every pick we have just for him, but there aint one out there. Who knows if we will even have a chance at a QB, Locker, Bradford, Clauson, Mallet - all of them could stay in school. The safe bet at this point is fix our biggest problem - the OL.
  6. I see a common theme - ITS THE COACHING!
  7. Well its our entitled opinions that differ. I hate replay mainly because I am sitting there, watching it in slow motion, and the Refs STILL make the wrong call. Have some balls and overturn it. The college system is more rediculous, they stop the game after every play it seems. Then they limit what is challegable, so it only helps out certain phases of the game. The challege IMO has not helped the game to be called more accurately. Second, you assume that QBs are going to get injured if they are not protected. Farve never got injured. Hundreds more have played without being injured, but today there is a perception everyone is going to get injured. Terrell Suggs fell next to Tom Brady - enough said.
  8. Dont worry, with Pat Williams, Winfield, Fletcher, Spikes, Greer, and hell throw Copeland Bryan and Mario Haggan in there, our D is in perfect position to stop their running game. Go Bills!
  9. I stopped there. There is no reason to read further, you are not connected with reality if you think this team is remotely close to playoff caliber.
  10. Not to argue you personally Cincy, but the Mike Mayock chat linked in another thread has this to say in responce to the question "Do you think Percy Harvin can win ROY?" Mike Mayock, NFL Network - "love Harvin and he certainly is one of the front runner of rookie of the year. On offense, tackle Michael Oher has played extremely well in Baltimore ..." Me, Ill take Mayocks word over everyone, let alone an ESPN internet columnist. Mayock also goes on to name Byrd the leading canidate for defensive ROY FYI. On a seperate note, My previous posts said I want to add two tackles in next years offseason, and it just dawned on me that the Jags did just that. They drafted E. Monroe and E Britton with their first two draft picks last draft and both have started since day 1. I have no idea how they have performed as I havent watched Jax this season but it just goes to show it can be done. Two Gs last year, two Ts this year! I have watched Okung and agree he is a great passblocking LT, but I really love Baluga the JR from Iowa - he blocks with the same fire that Wood does. Not sure about him on the left side, but on the right I see dominance. Hopefully we can add both, or at least one, of those guys. Go Bills!
  11. Yea, those 2nd and 3rd string Colts, led by the immortal Jim Sorgi, will strike fear into our beloved Bills..... But in all seriousness, I dont think we have a chance agaisnt their backups.
  12. He gives a shout out to Byrd also. Mohamed, Owl City, Mn 12:26 PM ET Do you think Percy Harvin can win ROY> Mike Mayock, NFL Network Mohamed, love Harvin and he certainly is one of the front runner of rookie of the year. On offense, tackle Michael Oher has played extremely well in Baltimore and Knowshon moreno has done a great jobin Denver. On defense, Jairus Byrd from Buffalo has played tremendously well, as have LBs Brian Cushing and Aaron Curry. Notice how he had to add the "from Buffalo" in.... no one would have known what team he played for otherwise This is my favorite comment, and I agree with him 100% on all the points he makes. Jack P, Phila, PA 12:30 PM ET Hey Mike, If you were on the rules committee what rules would u change or add ? Mike Mayock, NFL Network Jack, really interesting question and I have a feeling that my philosophies are probably in the minority. But first and foremost, I would abolish instant replay. I'm tired of the replay changing momentum, and I think it has made the refs more hesitant in the decision making. Secondly, I would take the skirts off the QBs and ask them to reestablish them as football players. I am all for the safety of every player, especially unprotected ones, but at some point common sense must prevail. Lastly, you've got to give DBs some latitude in bumping and playing WRs. I'm tired of the ticky tacky holding and PI calls. And while I'm at it, PI can go both ways, and why don't we ever see illegal picks being called on WRs?
  13. All Hardy showed me last season was that he couldnt run, period. Maybe he fixed that during rehad.
  14. Too bad we have 34 safetties, this would be the year to actually draft one early.
  15. Havent you noticd that Dick/The Bills never like to play the good young players. 16. I can tell Dick is still coaching. Wanna know how I can tell? They are wearing sneakers on snowy turf, idiots.
  17. Hardy to play Tackle? Nope! Parrish moves to LB!
  18. Trent was very good in 3-5 games last year. Maybe thats what he wanted to get back to? If he played like that week in week out we would have no QB issue.... other than the injury issue.
  19. Ill admit the QB is the single most important position on a football team, but I would argue that the OL as a unit is more important to the team than the starting QB. Just different approaches to football, agree to disagree I guess.
  20. Current non first round QBs who have had/are having success: Matt Hasselback* Kurt Warner** Mark Bulger Chad Henne T. Brady** Schaub Garuard Orton Cassel Romo Delhomme* Brees* * Led team to Super Bowl ** Won Superbowl Some of these guys had a couple of good years and fell off, but there were very good to great too. Recent 1st round Busts or somewhat busts Losman Quinn V.Young Russel Campbell Harrington Carr Leinart Alex Smith Some of these guys have kinda gotten the short end of the stick, but havent cemented themselves has great QBs either. The lists are equally long. The QB does not need to be a 1st rounder. The last thing we need is a huge reach for a QB in the first round - ie Losman.
  21. Jeff Garcia for two years and Groom a replacement, whether its Trent or someone else. I mentioned this is my previous post.
  22. Not me. Best case scenerio is McNiel comes in as a FA. In that case I still target the best T in the draft because one tackle is not enough to help this line. Hang leaves much to be desired at C and Wood shifting there fixes that. But who plays G? Butler going back is an option but he has his ACL to worry about. Even if he can play we need a G or T to fill in where ever he is not. IMO you HAVE to jump at the chance to get two bookend tackles and hope Butler can come back from injury to play G. If not Hang can hold down the spot until Butler is back. Even with all that we are still in need of more depth along the interior, because as of right now NONE of our backups inside belong in the NFL. Aaron Rogers has shown he is one of the better QBs in the league. He is playing great even with getting no protection, but while his play is very high the sacks that result in negative yardage are killing their team. I heard on ESPN this week that only one time this season, last week vrs TB, has Rogers been sacked AND the Packers have had that drive produce points. AKA if Rogers gets sack, drive over. So while great blocking is not imperative to QB success, it is imperative to team success. The Bills have had zero success recently, and it relates directly to the OL.
  23. A great QB will get us no where behind a terrible OL. OL come first last and always. Garcia is out there just waiting to take a team to the playoffs, and Trent could turn it around with a real coach who runs a real offense. IMO Garcia would end our misfortune for two years, over which a new QB could be found/groomed. Maybe its Trent, maybe its not, but all I know is I want Garcia starting in 2010. We could probably run the ball with an OL too.
