  1. I agree. A good follow up question would have been "do you believe that a left tackle can be "a difference maker, an impact guy, a playmaker?"
  2. Well Bill, by "useful comment" I mean a few things. Sisyphus often makes flip, cryptic, somewhat negative comments without really developing an idea, IMO. As long as I've been on the board I've considered him to be a cursory and negative poster which is fine because among a bunch of reasons, the Bills have sucked and you can't argue results. But he said "recent past." You (Bill) talk about 2010 and 2011. When Sisyphus says "recent past" I'm interested in whether he believes that the goings on at One Bills Drive are on the same trajectory as when the show was being produced by Levy, Brandon, Jauron and Company. I want to know if he thinks that the status quo has remained the same or whether he thinks that Nixley and Company are a positive change and are doing a good job. I want to know if he means 2010 and 2011 when he says "recent past" or whether he's including the entire decade of futility. I guess I'd like to know what he means by "recent past."
  3. I've seen Keuchly to the Bills in a few mocks. But mostly Floyd and Reiff.
  4. My Word! (or Heaven's to Betsy… whichever best expresses astonishment)
  5. You weren't asking me but you did once before and I never got to responding. I think Hightower is a great football player but I think a bad fit for the Bills. Wanny and Nix seem to like long DEs and fast LBs. He's gonna be a nice player in the NFL though. JMO.
  6. Also Lurker, after you click on a topic don't feel compelled to compose a reply.
  7. If you're saying that that's who we're gonna draft, I think you're onto something.
  8. Apparently your hindsight doesn't extend to women? That's alright. They're a mystery to most men.
  9. What a strange year. Already we've had two Friday the 13ths and this year, 4/20 is a Friday.
  10. Jin, I'm not against marijuana use and I'm not gonna judge Jenkins. However, I'd like your view on the incident in Gainesville where Jenkins was tased outside a nightclub and subsequently kicked off the Florida football team. After that, I'd like to know your view on the fact that he has 4 kids with 3 different women. Keep in mind the above two points have nothing to do, at least directly, with the marijuana incidents (some claim that THC is an aphrodisiac).
  11. Nice of you to say so but you're not completely wrong by any means. Engram put up good numbers which were abetted by a very long career, something like 15 years. I don't believe that he ever made a Pro Bowl so the fact of him winning the Biletnikoff Award remains kind of underwhelming. Nice of you to say so but you're not completely wrong by any means. 12. Great football player but he won't be there. Too bad because unlike a lot of the WRs this year, Blackmon looks like a natural receiver, not one who is trying to become one.
  13. Not sure what your point is, OC. You asked, I answered. Trades in the first round happen virtually every year. By the clock, the draft is now less than one week away…
  14. He is? Thanks for that. Also Glenn was named First Team All SEC by both the coaches and the players. And in spite of what our boy from Tennessee (the Reiff fan) has been frequently repeating, Glenn is not lazy. I doubt his teammates would have voted him a team captain had he been lazy. In fact he went in front of the NFL Draft Advisory Board after his junior year and they advised him to stay in school and work hard. That's what he did. He learned a new position and improved dramatically over the course of the season to the point where he was often dominating in the last month of the season… and was named the top left tackle in the best conference in college football.
  15. Thanks to Malta and Lynchmob for providing the complete lists. One thing I noticed is that the Bills brought in 5 cornerbacks but not Janoris Jenkins. This brings me to my second thought: Everything in life is a grey scale… that is to say, relative. Reiff also had an incident. So did Bruce Irvin. Both of them were brought in for visits. As Kelly points out, Blackmon was brought in too. Janoris Jenkins didn't visit, nor did Floyd. Perhaps a matter of degree?
  16. That's not a very useful comment. What is your opinion of Hairston? Also, do you think the Bills futility at choosing and developing players is continuing under Nix and Gailey?
  17. In the same article… free agency's biggest losers: 2. Miami Dolphins: When fans are protesting in front of the building and season ticket sales are bottoming out (supposedly), things are bad. The trade of Marshall and the failure to sign Manning (after owner Stephen Ross promised a hot pursuit) or Matt Flynn has put a lot of pressure on the organization. The Dolphins used to be the No. 1 team in South Florida. Right now, they're clearly No. 2 to the Heat and may work their way behind the Marlins and the University of Miami if they don't get things solved in a hurry. 3. New York Jets: If not for the Dolphins and the fact that the Jets still get some respect after back-to-back AFC championship game appearances during the '09 and '10 seasons, this team might be a complete laughingstock. After the addition of Tebow, the Jets were dubbed the "No Ring Circus" by one newspaper. The team hasn't done enough to help quarterback Mark Sanchez this offseason. Rather, it has created more distractions for a quarterback who needs to focus on his job. The only additions of note are two guys (wide receiver Chaz Schilens and safety LaRon Landry) who have struggled to stay healthy.
  18. Obviously San Francisco and most likely, Arizona. I had my plans on San Diego last year but they got dashed at the last moment. Just as well from the standpoint of the game's outcome although I know the hosts did an awesome job.
  19. I wouldn't mind Kirkpatrick. Adding premier talent at the top of the depth chart at an important position would solidify the unit very much. Now you have a guy like McGee who is your 3rd or 4th corner. Odd that the article didn't mention Ain't Onarosta.
  20. Nix definitely intimated that it was just as important for the team to get a playmaker/difference maker as it is a starter. I think the pick could be a surprise and it wouldn't surprise me if the guy was a DT they could play in waves or a situational pass rusher (in this case, both). Cox is a great football player. I think one out of every five tackles he makes is for a loss… as Buffalo Rebound said "the guy lives in the backfield." When you factor in the situation you guys mentioned with Kyle Williams coming back from a significant surgery…
  21. Yeah, it's kinda fun seeing if you can read between the lines. Then next year we'll have more experience reading these guys. Well with that ridiculous stripe of blonde hair down the middle of your back, whadya expect?
  22. Yes, it was Mayock. And if I'm not mistaken, he had Cam Newton as his 21st best prospect in last year's draft.
  23. Because… there's a minute possibility that a team is targeting a specific player. Agreed. If someone asks us to "check out Casserly on NFL.com," that person ought to provide a link, or else their post/point is pretty meaningless.
