The problem with a lot of these guys is that they're in such a rush to be the first to post news, they often-times don't care if they get it right. Look at Vic Carucci's report that the Pats were going to get Peppers for the 34th overall pick.

Bills made Pisa Tinoisamoa a contract offer before he left
VOR replied to Commander's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wait, we're supposed to be impressed that Taylor had 18 more yards on 9 fewer carries, while more importantly having 5 fewer TD's (which would explain the difference in yardage/YPC) than Rhodes? Not to mention 29 fewer receptions and 3 fewer receiving TD's? In 13 games and starts, versus 15 games and 4 starts? Taylor chose the Pats because he had a 0% chance of being a starter in Buffalo, and a 100% chance of being one in NE for a significant portion of the season. Neither team made the playoffs last year and just because Brady is back, it's no guarantee that the Pats will make them again. Virtually no one was gaga over Fred Taylor when he visited Buffalo. And virtually no one knew that Rhodes was available, or the type of season he had last year, until he visited the Bills. When that was made known, it was a no-brainer. -

It's a "what have you done for me lately" league, pally. Given their performances last year, coupled with their respective ages and wear-and-tear, Rhodes is clearly the better choice. And the bad thing for the Pats is that Taylor will likely be their #1 RB, given that Maroney is an injury-prone bust, while Rhodes is 2nd on the depth chart to start the season, and then 3rd when Lynch returns. -
I'll bet any amount of money that the journalist who allegedly said that Maybin looked "brutal" was Paul Hamilton.

Why haven't the naming rights of the Ralph been sold?
VOR replied to jtrain351209's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even if Ralph had sold naming rights 11 years.ago, it wouldn't have prevented a game(s) from moving to Toronto. Naming rights at best would have brought-in $1.5M or so a year. It's just that Jones is a hypocrite for criticizing Ralph for not selling rights, and ge ends up doing the same. -

Why hasn't Jerry Jones sold the naming rights to "Cowboys Stadium?" -
Bills made Pisa Tinoisamoa a contract offer before he left
VOR replied to Commander's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills brought-in Galloway and Coles, saw them leave...and signed T.O. They brought-in Taylor and Jones, saw them leave...and signed Rhodes. I'm hoping that after bringing-in June and Keiaho and seeing them leave, that they sign Tinoisamoa and make them 3 for 3 when it comes to getting the best player among the ones they brought-in. -

He also left Chicago without signing there. Hmmmm. -
Oh for the days of John Levra!

Anyone want to know where Pisa Tinoisamoa was today?
VOR replied to Lv-Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At this point, I think he's going to wait a little longer and see if anything else develops. I'd be surprised if any of the teams he's visited and who have offered him a contract have put a deadline on accepting it. -
It's safer to be a pessimist. That way you never get disappointed and can only be pleasantly surprised.

It's true that the Texans slapped the "assistant head coach" title on Kollar to make it a promotion. And while the Bills may have wanted him to stay, it doesn't mean that he's better than, or even as good as, who they got to replace him.
-
What would KC Joyner's metrics say?
-
Thanks.
-
I don't know where you got your information from, but since it was a lateral move, the Bills let him leave. If they really wanted him, they would have blocked the Texans from getting him. And they got a better guy in Bob Sanders anyway. Kind of like how they "lost out" on Coles, and got TO instead.

Always wear underwear on school picture day
VOR replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Wow! A 16-year old not wearing underwear because of panty lines. Pathetic. -
The Patriots let Owens get 9 receptions for 122 yards? Did the Steelers let Larry Fitzgerald get 7 receptions for 127 yards? The Eagles lost that SB because they lost the turnover battle. The Eagles committed 4 turnovers to the Pats' 1, with McNabb being responsible for 3 of them, by forcing the ball to Westbrook once, and LJ Smith twice, with LJ Smith adding a fumble. Not to mention McNabb puking on the final drive.

For all the posters who say "Hardy is a bust"
VOR replied to commish95's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I cut-out every player drafted after the 2nd round, since Hardy was a 2nd rounder. I see Moulds and Evans as #1's, Price as a #2, and Reed and Beebe as #3. Bucky Brooks was a total washout and Parrish has been a great punt returner. Hardly an indictment of the Bills' ability to pick WR's early in the draft. And Hardy wasn't drafted to be a #1 WR. -
Hello? You realize this is for medical use only, right?

Come back to me when you've figured-out exactly what it is that sets TO off, pally. It's obviously not what you originally claimed it was, which was "specifically, TD passes." Maybe the answer lies within quantum mechanics? Good luck with that! I'd also like to know what crystal ball you're using, seeing as how you know for a fact that he won't be leading the team in TD receptions this year. You DO realize that Lee Evans led the Bills in TD receptions last year with 3, right? And that TO has averaged over 10 TD's a season, hasn't caught fewer than 4 TD's in a season, and could probably catch 3 TD's in his sleep, right? If the offense struggles (again), Trent, Turk, and Jauron are rightfully gone after the season and the Bills start over with a new QB, OC, and HC. TO may still be around, but with a 1-year deal, he'd be easy to get rid of if what he said/blew up over proved to not be true. So again, there is no worst-case scenario for the Bills, only TO, because Buffalo is literally his last stop if he acts up again. You know this, but you refuse to admit it since you have no other argument when it comes to TO. Regarding that, in your short time here as a Bills fan, you've griped about the lack of talent, thugs, and lack of personality of Jauron, among a great many other things. Well here is a great player who stays out of legal trouble and who has personality. So being the true Bills fan that you are, you are left to parrot what others have said about how he's destroyed every team he's been on. The problem with that is that it's not even true. You see, if he was so divisive, getting rid of him would have made that team better. It didn't work for the 49'ers, it didn't work for the Eagles, and I think everyone knows that the Cowboys are in for a world of hurt this year. What was Lynch going to challenge? No charges were pressed against him for the alleged pot the cops saw and smelled (maybe that was the excuse they used before beating the unconscious criminal?). He got caught with an illegal weapon and rightfully got a misdemeanor for it. However to our knowledge, he hasn't failed a drug test and has never been caught with pot before, yet that screams "he's a pothead?" Whatever! And challenging the search on the basis that there was no pot is a losing effort and still wouldn't change the fact (in the Commish's eyes anyway) that he was found with an illegal gun.

Mike Williams gave entertaining interviews. He never said anything close to what Maybin did. But it's true that the words mean nothing without backing it up, and that's why I said "hopefully it translates to the field." And Schobel is 100%.

They are TO's critera, pally? LOL! Have a link where he states this? Oh wait, nevermind. I can tell you that TO led the Eagles in receptions, yards, and TD's in 2004, as well as in 2005 before getting suspended by them. He also led the Cowboys in yards and TD's for his 3 years, and had fewer receptions than Witten in 2007, a full year before he surprisingly got released, allegedly for "destroying the team" because he had fewer receptions, but not TD's, than Witten. Funny that Jerry Jones gave TO a 4-year contract extension after that 2007 season, with $13M in guaranteed money, despite your claim that he needs to get the most receptions, namely TD receptions, to remain happy. I asked before, but never got an answer, so I'll ask again, pally. Just exactly WHAT do you think TO can do to the Bills to make things any worse? The answer, which you can't bring yourself to admit, is "nothing." Which leads me to conclude that you're more content bitching about the team than anything else. And hey, if he does "destroy the team," he did the same to the "big boys" in Philly and Dallas. That puts them in good company, right? And don't even start about the marijuana. Suggesting they test the alleged "blunts" for Lynch's DNA was my way of telling people like you, who believe everything cops tell you, that merely (and allegedly) finding pot in the car doesn't necessarily mean that Lynch was smoking it (gee, can you get suspended for being around pot smokers?), and his lack of failed drug tests proves this. But seeing as how the cops didn't collect the "evidence" or charge him with it, it was obviously a bull sh-- claim. But hey, cops never lie. Just like they would never mercilessly beat an unconscious man who just flew out of the window of his overturned vehicle.

He must have left Chicago, if there is no news of a signing by now. That's good news. -
That's what I was (sarcastically) getting at. I guess I missed the mark.
