  1. They weren't tan shorts - they were stone color and they weren't flip-flops - they were slides.
  2. Actually, it is more like 42. On average, 7 HC positions open every year. There have been 6 hiring cycles since he was fired. You do the math... Al Davis wouldn't even hire him.
  3. He's an unmotivated, pompous assclown. When he was fired, he was billed as the hottest coach on the market and then went on to be turned down for every single job. Never got another sniff. Another clueless assclown in Brian Billick hired him and found him so lazy, so uninspired, so incompetent that he had to fire him. When Brian Billick thinks you suck as a coach, then you really suck because no one sucks more than the colossally incompetent Brian Billick. Except Dick Jauron, but that's a given.
  4. There is a reason that he has been passed up roughly 35 times in the last 5 years....
  5. hopefully 15 minutes, but it could be longer.
  6. Section 311 had maybe 20% of the fans stand at any one point during the entire game... What ever intensity your section had ours mitigated it down to "5".
  7. He should hang with me out in Pembroke. I got ESPN on, have some Bison chip dip and some Lay's... We're rockin'.
  8. Maybe someone else at the game saw it differently, but I would say the crowd was as laid back as I ever have seen a crowd in a game within reach of winning. For those of you still clinging to your "Miami rival" past... give it up. That horse left the barn long ago. It could have been Seattle out there today for all the crowd cared.

  10. Ok, I just read the USA Today piece. If you ask me, he gave Bill Clinton answers.
  11. how do you remember this stuff?
  12. when was the last time Marty publicly stated he didn't want to coach again?
  13. 56 would be considered a low 2nd round pick I think... The Packers offered what we did, so they clearly have at least as much value placed on him as we do.
  14. He turned down the ENTIRE NFL. That means NO job opening was more appealing to him than his gig at ESPN. NONE. ZIP. NADA. and yes, this needed its own thread because it has been said so many times in other threads that I felt the need to set you snapperheads straight.
  15. Adam, this may be shocking to you, but none of it matters. It's only a game. Football is entertainment. Some people find some of the ancillary activities away from the field interesting. A coach who is interesting to listen to increases the entertainment value.
  16. It's not my video, I just linked to it because it was available before any highlights were available.
  17. ok, usually the 1st frame of the video is the start. I didn't even notice that. It wasn't intentional. Regardless, that was the big news from yesterday and the picture isn't all that clear.
  18. If they wanted to find all the news articles they could find them too... It's called "news" and the break is not freeze framed. If you don't want to watch the video then don't click on the video.
  19. Do you have any inkling why the hottest coach the year he was fired never got hired again? Brian Billick fired him for ineptness for crying out loud. When Billick thinks you suck - you must really suck, because no one blows more in coaching offenses than that assclown.
  20. Oh dear God. That was horrible.
  21. Holmgren was being interviewed by the Cleveland media. Thus, he was complementary. I have not seen anything that would rule him out.
  22. like a NYC magazine rack...
  23. You might want to try returning to chicks. I'm not sure if you remember them, but they are just as fun today as they were waaaaaay back when..
  24. why not? If they were competent they could improve almost every area of the team in short order.
