Oil in North Dakota

Recommended Posts

I missed the part in the article where they described what he did for ten years while waiting to get the oil into the market. I'll bet it sucked just twiddling his thumbs, but we all know that it will take ten years to get oil into the market.

The Bakken formation was identified in the 1950's. It took 20 years to start pumping, and 20 more to get the first 20 million barrels out of the ground. Half the cumulative production of the field has been in the past six years - which means the annual production rate over the past half-decade has been about fifteen times what it was over the rest of the field's productive span.

And you're implying that was quick?

Drill Here

Drill There

Drill Now

And then see that hit the market in 10 years for a whopping 1% difference.

So you like being dependent on Foreign Countries for our oil? They'd never turn the spigot off on us, never.

Good plan there pB.

You're right that 1% difference will change things a ton.

Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! I believe whatever the media tells me! Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Let's keep doing nothing and praying "science" will figure it out quickly. You know, like we've been doing for 40 years.
