Yeah, he'd likely drop to the 20's, if not further, and lose a year of salary and a TON more money dropping out of the top-8. If they ARE looking for a 4-year deal and won't budge, I'd tell his agent to get back when they are willing to do a 5-year deal and tell Whitner he's not playing for them unless he accepts one and to get his agent to get a deal done. I think you're right that the issue is the length of contract. I'd guess that the Bills want a 6 year deal and Huff really screwed them up. Bush slipped to #2 because he couldn't work a deal with the Texans. If he can't work a deal with the Saints, I just don't see the team with the top pick next year taking a chance on a guy who has been out of football for a year and it notoriously difficult to deal with.
