this place will go nuts....that clown drafted Belasari and Crouch to play defense........NO freakin Martz

it'll never happen, but my take on martz is that he's terrible on the details and little things, but he's great on the big picture stuff (scoring lots of points, winning games). his regular season record up to this year? 52-28.

dont want to burst any bubbles Dave, but Martz inherited team at peak, just off Super Bowl.......then slowly tore it down to the pile of crap that it is today.

you see what happened in St. Louis was a controlled Mad Martz....Vermeil let him do as he pleased with the offense but Martz had to meet specs of ratio run to pass plays and touches for then all world tail back, Marshall Faulk...........

then the madness took over and the team was still talented enough to win but not coached well enough to win it all.......then just kept in decline to now, where they wont even let martz talk to interim coaches over the phone.

you're not bursting any bubbles, because i sincerely believe that it was his pretty much unstoppable offensive system that led them to the super bowl. vermeil did his part too, but it was the offense -- which vermeil didn't design -- that did it.

well, they almost beat the pats (they lost on the last play). against the titans, recall that they won on the last play.

titans was Vermeil as HC and Pats were 14.5 point underdogs.........Vermeil assembled the components.........Martz designed plays

oh jeez ....this is really going nowhere.....the point is Martz had a superior team and couldnt win a superbowl.........the guy is plain ole knucklehead

Actually, he's a great offensive mind. Mularkey is braindead by comparison. Martz knows how to bring the best out of his QB's and receivers. The Bills have had a long standing tradition of getting the least out of theirs. He needs to be counterbalanced by a top defensive coordinator and a GM with authority. That may happen at his next stop. The biggest negative with him is that he gets his QB's killed, but one of his biggest strengths is being able to identify and develop QB's.

i'll take our team right now with a good productive off season

martz as OC, assistant head coach

haslett HC

someone good as GM

i'll be happy and the bills will be good and exciting.

they were in the same division for awhile and the whole rivalry thing came about.......haslett called his teams finesse....cant recall other specifics just rivals with some jawing through the newspapers.

If we get Mike Martz we might actually finally see a good offense and win some games  B-)

I'd be more open to the idea of martz if he came in as a oc, and Al Saunders as head coach.

youre talking a huge ego.....Martz will probably not coordinate unless he could do it inside the NFC West

Saunders also a coach from Rams 1999 championship season, loyal to Vermeil and probably wouldnt hire Martz

And where has that offensive system gotten them since Vermeil left? Being a head coach takes a lot more than simply bringing a defensive or offensive system over.

But... but.. but.. he keeps re-signing Jamie Martin. That one, I'll never understand...

One more thing that probably goes in the "GM with authority" category: Martz would get no say whatsoever in special teams. Put 'em under the DC's purview instead, because MadMike has consistently proven the only thing he knows about STs is how to hire/fire a different coach every season.
