That is one of the dirty little tricks newspaper used all-too-often to quietly editorialize. Anyone assocaited with the paper should be pissed. I can guarantee you the editors were aware of it. If a paper wants to run a negative story about someone, they find a photo of him looking old and tired. I'm not saying they should have run a pic of Jim with some kids at his football camp -- but maybe a neutral pic of him dropping back to pass in his playing days.
