Sunday Night Plans

Recommended Posts

I am probably going to watch alone.  Whenever I make a big deal about the Bills being on television, and invite friends, they usually get trashed from the opening kickoff to the final gun...except that thrilling 1997 MNF game against the Colts, where the Bills won 6-3...

LMAO......I was at that game. I went to college at Ball State which is about 40 minutes from Indy. Wow, you talk about a borrrrrrrrrrrring game. I did scream my ass off at the end when we won it though.

Maybe the worst game I'd ever seen live.

That game sucked on TV...but, I can imagine what it would be like i person.

I was at Rich Stadium (yes, it was Rich then)...don't remember the year. The Bills were playing the Bears. I think the final was 6-3 Bears. The Bills punted in the 4th Q from mid-field on 4th and short.

Man did THAT suck.

I can't quite remember it, but we did something in the endzone that screwed up a touchdown or something. I don't know if we went for a TD or something on 4th down, or someone dropped one or what, but something stupid happened in the endzone for us.

It was also the first game in Indy where there wasn't 10 to 12 thousand Bills fans in the Dome. I remember the upper deck during the early 90's at the Hooiser Dome where the upper deck was easily 75% Bills fans. This was the first game there that we really didn't show in numbers like we did for alot of years. Of course, it was a night game though.

I'm in Boston so the game in unavoidable.

I'm going to see Springsteen and afterwards I'll stop by the Harp to see how the Bills Backers Boston are doing.

Monday I'll get up, get ready for work and decide whether I'll actually go work alongside gloating Pats fans or just kill myself before leaving the house.

Here in Pittsburgh, I also only get to see one or two Bills games on regular TV during the year.  I go to a sports bar called Buffalo Blues to watch the games, where there are a few other Bills fans to enjoy the game with...

HOWEVER...i'll be enjoying this game from the comfort of my own home, for once.  My good buddy just bought a new 60 inch HDTV, and invited me over to watch it at his house, but he's a Cowboys fan, and I don't have it in me to sit there and look at his smug face if the Pats are beatin the hell out of the Bills...

So, I'll be whippin up a batch of my famous wings,(would make LaNova's proud) and sittin on the couch hopin the Bills do what noone expects them to do...

WIN

Ass kickings look quite a bit better in hi-def on a 60" TV. Report back what you thought of the picture.

My Sunday afternoon plans are to go out and buy a second-hand, sh------- TV.  Because my Sunday night plans involve throwing a brick through the screen when the idiot refs inevitably !@#$ us over again.

You could watch the game at B_i_B's and throw a brick through his TV screen. :P

In my experience, there aren't many Bills Backers at the Harp on a night game. I'd go in to watch it there if there were, but I just can't convince myself that it is worth it. Going anywhere usually results in being surrounded by Patsies fans. The safe thing is to just stay home....

I plan on watching it in NYC with R. Rich.  I would not have choosen this game but I listen what the big man says.

Wise move Glenn, never want to tick him off.

By the time the game rolls around I'll have convinced myself that this is the week, this is the game! I will not make wings (Bills have never won when I make wings) and I will not watch with my family. I will be holed up in a separate room so as not to upset the six year old and her sister. The dog will begin watching the game with me, but he will slink off, tail between legs, when the venom starts to spew from my mouth.

And, no matter what happens, on Monday I will offer no praise of the pats. No praise of their porn loving QB, no praise of their hoody wearing coach. !@#$ 'em all, they all suck.
