Ray Stonada Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago This being a huge road game Sunday, I figured I'd check the big road game exactly one year ago, week 15, 2024 season. Well, it was the Lions game, our offense was incredible and we won 48-42. Lions came into the game 12-1, we were 10-3 and playing in their house. We needed it to stay close to KC for the number 1 seed. Some notes rewatching it: 1) Offense was completely wide open. Many plays with four and even five wide. Coleman, Cooper, Hollins, and Samuel were quiet, most of the damage was done by Kincaid, Knox, Ty Johnson, and Jimbo Cook. Good omen for our offense this year. Coleman had one nice deep grab. Ray Davis flashed a lot too. 2) Josh was insane. Running, throwing dimes, touch passes, scrambling, you name it. Beyond MVP level. He had that crazy no-look chest TD pass to Kincaid called back on a hold. 3) Our defense gave up a ton of yards, but our pass rush looked better than this year. Ed Oliver was a monster. Just an animal out there. Von made an impact, surprisingly. Most surprising, Rousseau was much more active in pash rush, not just contain rushing like he seems to be this year. 4) Coverage was not good, Benford was great but Elam was not, safety play was poor. 5) The whole team played very fast, very dialed in... all in all, the game gave me confidence. If we open up our offense a bit more now, we can ramp up to this level. We have the key guys with us. Brandin Cooks has to play the Amari Cooper role. 6) On defense, if we can get Ed and Bosa back in the playoffs, we can be as good or better than last year. Sometimes, lost in the anxiety of watching games live, I forget how good the Bills are... especially in December when they're dialed in and not flat like we often are in the early/mid season. This game reminded me how scary we can be for other teams. We might just boat race the Patriots on Sunday. GO BILLS! 3 3 Quote
Draconator Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I was at this game. The most surprising thing to me is me and my friend on the drive back to his house in Windsor (He's a Lions season ticket holder), we were listening to the Lions post game show, and the number of people saying they would get rid of Goff for Allen was surprising. Even more surprising is how the radio hosts agreed with every caller on that. 1 1 Quote

bubba2018 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Allen literally makes every team automatically a playoff team. He is such a dominant presence on the field it’s ridiculous. Please do not take this for granted how truly blessed we are to have him. People who hate on Allen hate because he is THAT great. Do the Chiefs make the playoffs with Allen instead of Mahomes this year? I think so Edited 2 hours ago by bubba2018 4 1 Quote

Lol The Lions would literally do that trade in a millisecond you wouldn't need to twist their arm 1 1 Quote
Fr. Jerk Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago If having a last name like Goff isn't bad enough, his first name is Jared. Good thing he's a rich athlete, ya dig? Quote

JMM Posted 37 minutes ago Posted 37 minutes ago Might have been Josh's best game overall last year. His accuracy was incredible. Also a BIG game for Ty Johnson as a receiver Quote

He’s acknowledged as one of the greatest active players. There might be some people critical of him from time to time, myself included, but I doubt there are haters out there anymore. If there is anyone hating on Allen, it’s because that person is an idiot and has nothing to do with Allen. Quote
