" 3 rd and 12 ....pass over the middle to Cooks for a 14 yard gain.....wait he comes up limping"

woe to we Bills fans. No hope of an improvement in our woefully short quality Healthy WR options.

seriously though he hasn't  even played a down of football for us.

Im Hopeful he is at Minimum an improvement . a positive contributor on offense. We have no choice but to watch and wait to see how he does.

Hope springs eternal

His body quit on him. It was clear as day. Anyone who's athletic and washed out at any age or ability can recognize it.

But Cooper was a player who had just put up a 1200+ yard season full of big plays......including a game in that 2023 season where he put up 265 yards.

NOTHING gets DC's fired like getting beaten over the top.

And Cooper(4) only ranks behind Calvin Johnson(5) and Lance Alworth(5) in career 200+ yard receiving games.

His commitment to the game was always in question everywhere he went but at the same time he was a great deep threat.

The people on here who act like he wasn't having a significant impact after his arrival just don't understand the psychology of the game.

Injuries diminished his skills and along with few months of less than dynamic tape that changed that perception come playoff time.

But for a while his presence elevated the passing game A LOT.

To me he looked like he was gonna be a pretty big addition during that titans game  then in classic bills fashion that wrist injury happened very quickly (his second game) and he just didn’t look right after it.  Kinda gets masked because he had a 95 yard game against the rams but that was on 14 targets.

might’ve been a small window where teams didn’t wise up to him playing banged up and devoted more defensive attention to him than they probably should’ve at that point but when we hit the games that really mattered that wasn’t happening

It was amazing what he put on the defense as far as pressures go. I somehow watched a lot of the all22 on the browns game where he had a ton of yards before the Bills season. Seeing how no matter what the defense did to try to bracket him and lean to cover that side was incredible. Megatron could beat you any way he wantsd, diggs raw atheltic talent and willpower, Michael irvin speed and shiftiness, but Cooper was somewhere near Irvin. I'd argue better.

Cooper, I wish I could explain it better, would attack the DB at the peak of the route he chose and leveraged his speed and body to cut the route. He was a unique WR that attacked the defender when he needed to be in the spot to catch the ball.  Dudes really just don't do that.
