This may explain why his technique was off; 2. Stamina. He looked tired in the 2d half and he may be overweight. 3. Lack of effort. Dawkins usually plays with fire but not this game. Thoughts? The entire team outside of a few looked like they lacked focus and energy. That’s coaching and culture. The o line looked lazy and gassed. Edited 48 minutes ago by PayDaBill$ 2 Quote

There was a caller asking why the Buffalo media wasn't asking the hard questions and holding the team accountable. Sal went bonkers and was blaming the caller for asking a stupid question. That question doesn't look so stupid now. I think Sal's reaction mirrors the attitude of much of the media in Buffalo. In the drought days there were Negative Nancy beat reporters and commentators like Sully but now you have the opposite problem. Many homers that can't see the clear and obvious problems with the team, or just refuse to question it because the team has won the division and made the playoffs for many years. Dion is the perfect example of a really nice guy who is talented... but no longer hungry on a weekly basis. His play has very clearly slipped over the last several years and it's time to draft a replacement LT that can see Allen through the rest of his career in Buffalo. I think 2026 needs to be a cut bait year - dump the horrible contracts, eat the dead cap space, and gear up for 2027. Get a new GM and offensive-minded head coach in here who can build the offense around Josh and Cook and assemble a modern defense. Avoid the quick, fragile players at positions like LB and DL, and draft durable workhorses who will be available from week to week. Assemble the speed at safety and corner. NAILED IT. I’ve said a lot I think the Buffalo media, in terms of analysis is really good. However the one problem is that they are all…from Buffalo. They are all huge fanboys and some are straight up jocksniffers. I’m sorry but if you’re covering the team in a professional fashion you shouldn’t be in the parking lot tailgating before games and sitting in the stands watching like a fan, as many of them do. And because they are all fans first and media members second, NONE of them want to go hard and risk losing the “access” they have been given. As a result, this org is often not held accountable by the media that covers. Edited 32 minutes ago by RkFast 1 Quote

We won after the bye vs worthless Carolina, and over the useless jets week 2, but we have faced 5 bad road teams and lost lame uninspired games to 3 of them on the back of turnovers and bad offense. And I think you are 💯, it's because of focus and energy Quote

About Dion yukking it up with his opponent after the game. The game was over. Leave it on the field. Don’t teach your kids that it’s okay to be an ####### to your competition when you lose. (That 13U coach one of the posters was talking about, who would cut the poster’s kid just because he fraternized with the other team after a bad play/loss? Yeah, that coach is an #######. The poster needs to find another team. Speaking as someone whose kid played baseball all the way through college, I promise you 13U travel ain’t the place for that kind of *****.) If youre going to call me out, I would appreciate it if you would take the time to read my comments in their entirety and not misconstrue my points. I was EXPLICIT in that I acknowledge and understand that these guys are all friends and professional (i.e. paid athletes). AS STATED: I also understand that this is their job and they’re all friends with all the different players. Of course you walk over to the other team shake hands say good game and maybe talk about the family and what not. Further, I was clear that bad behaviour and poor sportsmanship is not ok. AS STATED: Again, nobody is saying to act like Mahomes did after that loss to the Bills or for him [Dawkins] to throw a table. As far as the baseball thing goes, if you have experience in youth sports like you claim, you know damned well that a player acting like a jackass after a crucial tournament or one with a chronic attitude of being aloof, not paying attention or comporting him or herself in a proper manner before and after games would not be tolerated for very long. OF COURSE "kids are kids" but I painted a SPECIFIC picture with my example. Ill add one more thing if it makes you feel better. ALL OF THIS is in the context of his actions and demeanor that took place minutes after HE failed the team with that terrible penalty. He had an awful game overall and that play was a killer. If he balled out all game, I dont think ANY of this critque of mine would happen. Love the guy, hes been a great Bill and rep of the city. But lately I think Dion is way too "fat (literally) and happy." Edited just now by RkFast Quote
