So cute you think North Carolina is more dangerous than New York.  I'm not scared of the world. The world is scared of me. 

 

Next, best I found was about 7.7 to 8.2 per 100k for NC. And remove Charlotte, RDU, Piedmont Triad urban areas ... And you're better.

 

Violent crime in NYC is twice as much, property crime is 50% more, 

Further, firearm death rate includes suicide - roughly 60% of gun deaths in US.

 

I'd take NC over NY any day of the week. And I'm not alone. New Yorkers are fleeing that state and city for life down here.

Likely no justice, but maybe Boyd can come out OK.
