His “historic” deals were smoke and mirrors, a fraud wrapped in flags while his patron Putin turns Ukraine into ash. He bungled Iran so badly it nearly lit the fuse on another war, and now, even as a tentative peace accord emerges between Israel and Hamas, the cracks in his legacy are harder to ignore. He’s turned his war machine inward - ICE thugs roaming blue cities like occupying forces. The Nobel honors courage and integrity; Trump honors only chaos and control. He wasn’t snubbed he was disqualified by his own contradictions. On a positive note, a Latina woman was recognized! 1

This year's peace prize was awarded to Maria Corina Machado. Unless you're very familiar with politics in Venezuela you might ask who is that? I had to look her up too. At this point the prize is nothing more than an award for members of the liberal echo chamber. 1

The Nobel Peace Prize has always been messy - it’s about promoting democracy, not handing out participation trophies for “least bombs dropped.” Maria Corina Machado stood up to an authoritarian regime while your guy was busy cosplaying one at home. If defending free elections and opposing dictatorships makes someone part of the “liberal echo chamber,” then maybe the echo is just the sound of freedom bouncing off reality.

The difference is, Obama at least acknowledged the issue and tightened the rules of engagement, while your crowd cheered when Trump loosened them.
