Bills fan since 87 Posted September 4 Posted September 4 So, I tore the meniscus in my "good knee" and I am pretty hobbled. Can't walk mor ethan a couple blocks at a time. Awaiting a scope. Was pretty bummed and considering selling my tickets to some of the upcoming games, but somone suggested I should consider asking for a temporary ADA sticker. My quesiton is the Bills site says with ADA lots 2 and 6 it's first come, first serve. Does anyone have any experience with this parking area, how early prior to game should I look to arrive IF I do get the pass? I usually roll in about 3 hours prior to kick, would that still be good enough with anyones experience? Quote

Unfortunately, I do not have any info on the parking 2 Quote

They do fill fast, but last year when we got to lot 2 ADA it was already full and they just directed us over to the handicap spaces in the regular Lot 2 next to it, so it was not an issue (not sure if that is a guarantee they always do that) In ADA 2 we usually just hang out for a while after the game til they open Abbot up If you want, when you enter the gate there is staff there with wheelchairs who will take you to your section - you can arrange for them to come and get you after as well (we have our own transport chair for my Dad and have never used them but I've spoken to the staff before on how it works) Edited September 4 by stevewin 3 Quote

Do you know if any special credentials are needed to use the elevators once inside the stadium? Quote

I parked in lot 2 for the Broncos game last year, got there about 3 hours early and had no issues. Getting out sucked royally. It's also my understanding, but don't quote me, that if the lot is full they will move you somewhere else and arrange a golf cart. Weather permitting of course. Quote

I used the bathrooms at the Bills Store, they were the closest to Lot 2 though not immediately right there. There was also a row of portapotties right next to lot 2 but I'm not sure if modern medicine can stand up to that brand of Hepatitis or Chlamydia. Quote

A wheelchair was enough for us to get on the elevator - I would just talk to one of the staff once you enter the gate and explain your situation. Especially if you request they take you in a wheelchair it should all be taken care of. One thing to note - the elevator goes to the indoor club and upper level. Last year was the first year in a while we didn't have club, we had club level but in the EZ - and there was no real wheelchair access (my Dad had to get out of chair and walk up stairs - but he is OK doing that, it is just long distances that are tough on him) The ADA seating/access situation at Highmark is not the greatest - I'm sure it will be greatly improved in new stadium Quote
machine gun kelly Posted September 9 Posted September 9 i didn't see this until too late. I would’ve said of in town, let me get a wheelchair and would’ve given you a ride. It does. Help in the tunnel, but could’ve got you to the entrance. You could always ask the staff to provide you with one of their own. The staff is normally pretty nice. Quote

Ha... almost 50... you're still a pup! I'll be turning 73 next month with 4 major knee surgeries over the years behind me. I'd give my left (useless) nugget to "bounce back" like I could when I was 50 again! 1 Quote
