Dude if the 1,000 homes for sale are $800,000 each, no one can afford them but the mega wealthy.

If you build more supply, the prices will fall. Look at Austin, Texas.

They would have to fall to 50 dollars in order for homeless people to afford them. Do you understand yet?

Maybe they wouldn’t be homeless if they were 200,000.

A study a few years ago found 53% of homeless people in Chicago had jobs.

Correct. Washington DC is not close to that.

Yes they would. Homeless people don't have credit let alone enough of a down payment to secure a loan for a 200 k property. Total pipe dream lol.

What part of “they have jobs” did you miss there?

We don’t even need that. We need affordable apartments as a start.

What jobs do homeless people have to secure a 200 k hypothetical house? You're drowning here.

You do know of course that "the manufacrurer" had immunity because President Trump made a really good deal to get it out faster.

I wouldn’t expect you to be able to figure it out

Support a welfare net.

Republican policies increase homelessness

Not so sure this is the answer either.

My city has spent literally billions on welfare nets for the homeless.  It is now the worst it's ever been.

President Trumps plan at least as articulated thus far makes no mention of what he's going to do with these people.  Hopefully it works to curtail homelessness.. We'll see.

You need to increase housing supply as well.
