Regardless of what side you’re on in regards to trumps actions - and we’ve all made it clear where we individually stand on that- this is about as stupid and FAFO as you can get.
 

I mean most us knew they would not in any way just take that hit, cry uncle, and do nothing. But watching it play out exactly how we knew it would is still something to see.
 

Let’s just hope Trump doesn’t indeed show the destruction “like they’ve never seen” but I fear his own ego has cornered him into doing something stupid.  

 

And now that we’ve supposedly accomplished the mission of denuclearization in Iran (starting to seem like it wasn’t the resounding victory drunken Pete delayed) let those two garbage governments kill each other by way of a trillion paper cuts. 

 

But that won’t happen. So here we go again. Another forever war because Iran is doing exactly what we knew they would do. And if the reports that they moved the nuclear material before the strikes are true, we did it for… what? 
 

Hillary would have done this. Bidens handlers might have. My feelings on this aren’t partisan. They are just feelings of a guy so sick of being the hall monitor to an area of the world that willfully chooses to never be stable.

Come on man. Not at all what I said. But Trump said any retaliation would be met with (whatever version of huge he chose this time) retaliation. He didn’t say against America. He said against Israel or America. They waited less than 24 hours. I hope you’re right and he sees this as a continuation of the previous week - I truly do. I was just hoping (ignorantly, I know) that they would have taken a pause for a few days at least to not face what’s next… which is almost certainly more American involvement.

You thought they would pause it now when their "honor" is on the line? They will do it at least one more day but then we can hope for some rational thought and peace. My only concern is they attack the US bases.

I did indeed think they might take a beat. But you’re right about the “honor” thing. I just know Trump said any retaliation would be met with the worst. I hope it’s just puffing of the chest and since it didn’t impact America directly, he “allows” this latest jab from Iran. 
 

And if they do attack US bases, might as well get the marker out to redraw the map of the Middle East.

This is an absurd pretense: Iran has abundant oil resources, and no reason to build nuclear power plants. Do other oil-producing countries, like Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the Emirates, invest countless billions in atomic energy? Of course not. Nevertheless, the mullahs have stuck doggedly to this excuse.

 

Earlier today, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council and Vladimir Putin’s right-hand man, let the cat out of the bag:

 

“What have the Americans accomplished with their nighttime strikes on three nuclear sites in Iran?” Medvedev questioned in a post on social media. “The enrichment of nuclear material — and, now we can say it outright, the future production of nuclear weapons — will continue. A number of countries are ready to directly supply Iran with their own nuclear warheads.”

 

Well, there you have it. The issue is not electricity, it is the “future production of nuclear weapons,” which “now we can say…outright.”

 

So our military strike was fully justified.

I could have missed it but I never saw him mention Israel is any version of the retaliation comment. We will help Israel but attacking them is not same as attacking us.

Ya know what, you’re 100% correct. I just searched and he was specific to the US. I stand corrected. I truly hope Iran is not stupid enough to try it. But hope is one thing… and likely not paired with the reality of what will happen. Here’s to hoping I’m wrong. Apologies again for the misstatement.
