That's fine, I'm just saying he's a maxed out player. Go to bat for your guy, Buscaglia agrees with you and is also higher on Lewis' value than I am. I think the upside and traits, contract and team-control of his competition will make the decision go against him if the performance is close. I'm stoked to watch all these guys competing in preseason.

 

 

I just wasn't impressed with what i saw this season from lewis, so i'm glad they're trying to improve the depth behind TJ.  Tackling was an issue, and his coverage metrics didn't look that great either.  https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/buf/2024_advanced.htm

Actually the person I was quoting was talking about them being cut.. and I said the bills was the place careers died 15 years ago 

 

And then I said they would get another contract Because there's worse back half of roster guys 

 

So I was implying if they got cut from the bills they would be signed from another team

 

I also agreed with you that our draft picks have better measurables

I just watched the embedded video and it was interesting to hear what Gray and Beane said about Hancock.   I also say an article that overthecap.com has us with just 1.9 mill in cap space.  The cap space situation makes Lewis' spot on the team even more tenuous.

I'd say DaQuan Jones.  His release frees-up $5.5M.

That's if you designate him for a post 6/1 cut.  However, that would increase his dead cap in 2026 and 2027.  Not sure that's something Beane wants to go.  Nor do I think they are cutting Jones.  Behind on the roster are Carter and a few rookies.
