Watch most games with volume turned way down so announcers are basically mute.   Try to keep enough juice to hear whistle or crowd noise to get a sense of what is happening while watching.

Announcers bring nothing to the game for me but annoyance.   I’d love to blame that on getting older but I’ve been a hater since my 20’s.   Just feel most have no clue about players outside what the national media promote incessantly.

Here is to hoping the Bills and Josh give the announcers something to annoy the opposing fans!

One thing that will be good if the Bills miss the playoffs is less prime time games or games at 4:25. I prefer 1pm on Sunday,  outside of that time is just not good for getting proper sleep.  Like when was the last time the Bills played at 1pm on Sunday

I'm with you.  Living in Israel where it's 7 hours ahead of Buffalo time, it can lead to some serious sleep deprivation.  And if you think I actually was able to sleep after the Philly game (which ended close to 4AM) you're mistaken.

I tired of getting so hyped late into the evening and then trying to sleep after another one of these heart breaking losses. I am willing to bet many others would prefer the Bills play on Sunday at 1pm and not wait for game to start at 4:25 or after 8 Sunday or Monday nights

The New England game.

Of course, you could watch them stupidly lose a 1 pm game (see above) and then spend the rest of the day being all pissed off.

  • chongli changed the title to CBS (+1 FOX) announcers: NFL Week 14 (Dec.10, 2023) (Bills: Nantz/Romo/Wolfson) (maps posted Wed AM)

One announcer team for a FOX game was made known:

Detroit at Chicago

(C) Adam Amin, Mark Schlereth, Kristina Pink

The OP has been changed.

Is that 3 games in a row that we've had Romo announcing?

It is! The Bills rate. (Well not really...more to do with KC, Philly, and A-Rod, lol)

Agreed with your post. I hate waiting all day for SNF or MNF the next day. But the somewhat good thing is if you're on the west coast like me, prime time games start at 5 PM or so. But then you're still at work or whatever when things get going. [And let's not talk about those 6:30 AM starts for international games.]

Also, for the people here having their Sunday ruined or not being able to fall asleep after the game, I have learned to detach myself emotionally (for the most part) from the game. I never let myself get down after a Bills loss. I guess years of the drought conditioned me.

I can tell you I got very little sleep after Sunday night loss to Cincy,  Monday night loss to Broncos and again Sunday evening loss to Philly. That game was not over until after 8 and I get so emotionally drained and pissed off I ended up getting very little sleep. I am fine with 80% of the Bills games next season at 1pm Sunday

I hear ya! It was bad for me in my younger years. My entire Sunday got to be ruined often in the 80's and 90's. Being a fan takes its toll.

Remember when bills fans complained that the Bills had no media love or prime time games etc.

has anyone heard what time the bills dolphins game will be in week 18?

Like previous years, they won't decide until after the Sunday games Week 17. This is so they can have the most fair and balanced slate as possible. They want to assure no team is able to rest starters or not play hard because a competitor won or lost earlier in the day.

“Awwwww Jim, FOURTH DOWN!  HERE WE GO!!!”

I just can't take the non-stop Mahomes praising and shots in the booth of Taylor Swift and Donna Kelce.

After the Chiefs loss last night it's going to be nothing but this Arrowhead crowd loves their Chiefs and is going to make it extra loud, Mahomes isn't leading the conference and he will do whatever it takes to get them on track, Mahomes doesn't accept losing, Andy Reid will have new "wrinkles" for the Bills, the Chiefs have had this game "circled" since May, with Traci saying that Mahomes told her that he's never wanted a game so badly in his life.

Just stick to the Cowboys, Romo and Nance, so I never had to listen to you again.

BREAKING:

ManningCast Mayhem: Peyton and Eli to Juggle Simultaneous MNF Games in One Epic Show

"ESPN plans to give TV viewers a double dose of the ManningCast, Front Office Sports has learned.

For the first time, the NFL will broadcast two NFL games simultaneously on “Monday Night Football” on Dec. 11, which means Super Bowl-winning brothers Peyton and Eli Manning will do the same on their “Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli” broadcast.

The Mannings are poised to call two games – the Green Bay Packers at the New York Giants and Tennessee Titans at Miami Dolphins – at the same time, akin to a mini Red Zone broadcast, which will be aired on ESPN2.

MNF’s top announce team of Troy Aikman, Joe Buck and Lisa Salters will call Packers-Giants on ABC and ESPN+. Louis Riddick, Dan Orlovky, Chris Fowler and Laura Rutledge will have Titans-Dolphins on ESPN and ESPN+.

[...]

The Mannings will have their normal A-List guests drop in during the alternative telecast. There will also be limited commercial breaks enabling viewers to watch and follow both primetime games side-by-side.

Naturally, if one game is more compelling, the brothers will focus on the more compelling contest, said sources."
