If there's nothing to set off the IDF, they should be fine.

I can’t share the photo here because it’s too big a file but the soldier posted on Facebook “if not Gaza then mizraa”. Sounds like a threat to me. He since took his post down. His name is Roi Shaag

Why Are Leftists Hot for Houthis?

TIM BLACK

The Houthis’ attacks might not have had a significant military impact so far, but they have severely disrupted global trade. More strikingly, they have slowly started to thrill some Western leftists. After news broke that the Houthis had seized an Israeli-linked ship in early December, socialist magazine Jacobin painted the Houthis as an honourable anti-imperialist resistance movement. ‘They felt obliged to act’, it opined, ‘because of the strong, historically rooted support for Palestinians among the Yemeni people’.

Since then, the Houthi cheerleading among the left has only become louder.

They're anarchists that support anything that provides them a chance to commit acts of violence, start fires, disrupt the activity of normal citizens, break stuff, and generally create chaos.  It doesn't matter that the terrorists they support would kill them all at the first chance they got.  Reality and rational thinking are not in their toolbox.

On this, Israel agrees with you.

But Israel does not agree on who is responsible for leaving border basically wide open

That group has existed for years, as have others with similar goals.

You have posted a bunch on this, and never seem to have any knowledge of how Israel has defended itself.

You do nothing but literally post Monday morning thoughts, void of what they do.

No acknowledgement of what is involved.

Ignorant and pathetic.

Sure, you just want to give those responsible for ignoring a serious problem a pass. Glad there is a court case to start the investigation.

Nice to see Netandyahoo lose in the supreme court of Israel, also

Iranian state media says two explosions have struck a procession marking the anniversary of General Qassem Soleimani’s assassination. The blasts reportedly happened near the slain commander’s grave site in the city of Kerman.

A correspondent with Iranian state-run Tasnim has said that the mounting casualty count is "high".  "There is a strong chance that more 50 people have lost their lives and 50-60 have been injured."

Where is DC tom when you need him.

No Israel doesn't have a history of setting off bombs in crowds of civilians. Keep eating up that Islamist propaganda and thinking this is some both sides/moral equivalence bull####.

It's the west vs. religious fundamentalists whose very texts are codified to support killing all non-believers, especially Jews.

Like how you admit you need help. DC Tom couldn't help you though, he's an idiot.

Israel drops their bombs from planes, mostly, and you see that as different, right?

Bombing a crowded refugee camp still causes mass casualties of civilians. I guess all those deaths in Gaza just happened

I absolutely see it differently because those refugee camps are full of would-be terrorists. The price they pay for being partisans in their jihad against non-believers.

Don't wanna get bombed? Don't willingly allow yourself to be a human shield for murderers. Aside from the children, a good portion are complicit.

Given this was a high-level ceremony marking the death and honoring a revered General my expectation is this wasn't a "civilian" crowd but rather a group of officials, ranking members of the military and civilian government in attendance of "high" value that could be taken out in one place at one time.

The initial suspicion is Mossad.  Iran has made the usual threats of vengeance which they usually fail to carry out.

Children were among the casualties of this terrorist attack, so let's not clean it up as if its some sort of military target.

Specifically targeting civilians is a far cry from collateral damage, yes.

That you don't get it, isn't terribly surprising to anyone.

I wouldn't rule it out, but that isn't generally Mossads MO (assuming it was a suicide bomber at this point).

Reports said there were 2 explosions which implies 2 bombers which implies planning and coordination of some degree along with the ability to elude and pass through what I'd expect was some security measures at the site (if there were none then they must be really stupid).

Two is a common tactic amongst terrorists though. The second explosion usually is to target emergency services/first responders.

Too soon to jump to conclusions obviously, but my money is on some rebel types.

This would be particularly bad if it turns out it's the Isrealis and frankly would be surrendering quite a bit of moral high ground on their part.

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, issued a statement blaming the attack on Iran’s “malicious and criminal enemies,” but stopped short of naming any group or country. Mr. Khamenei vowed that Iran’s enemies should know that “this tragedy will have a strong response.”

While no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, Iran’s president, Ebrahim Raisi, seemed to blame the country’s archrivals, the United States and Israel. “We tell the criminal America and Zionist regime that you will pay a very high price for the crimes you have committed and will regret it,” he said.

Analysts said that while it was far too soon to tell, there were numerous possibilities for who might have attacked the cemetery, including Sunni Muslim terrorist organizations such as the Islamic State or Iranian separatist groups, all of whom have struck Iranian civilians in the past.
