Buffalo...why do people hate us?

Recommended Posts

http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/8504227

It's not this story, but the posts at the bottom of the page. There is some downright nasty things said about Ralph Wilson by these douchebags, and not a whole lot of sympathy for the Bills.

Of course most of these f**kwads are Redskins and Patriot fans, so that explains a lot. But it amazing how narrow-minded these people are. Why so much anger at the city of Buffalo? What did we ever do to anyone?

I feel like if a tsunami ever wiped out Buffalo, no one would give a nickel to help.

I'm no geographic specialist or anything, but if a Tsunami ever wiped out Buffalo, then the majority of the country would be destroyed also.

It was a "rhetorical" example...I guess to be accurate I should have said "...any kind of terrible disaster should befall the city of Buffalo..."

Okay?

Remember when the New England franchise was once among the poorest in the league, when they played in a glorified Division II college stadium, when they were lucky to get 30,000 in the place...move to Hartford, not move to Hartford?

And this was only about a dozen years ago.

How quickly three Super Bowl wins and an ultra-aggresive owner can turn things around...now they're one of the NFL's corporate elite.

Makes me often wonder what the Bills franchise would look like if they had WON four in a row...season ticket waiting list, $75.00 "cheap" seats, corporate sponsors out the wahzoo...Bills gear as available out-of-region as Pats stuff is now.

Not the article...the posted responses at the bottom of that page.

Having looked at a few of the responses it really strikes me how poorly these people understand the argument. I guess it's not suprising. And maybe they simply scanned through the article and began to spout their pre-conceived notions of what the article is about. It seems like a lot of them are acting like Wilson is doing this hoping for some kind of handout. I truly believe that RW is doing this for the sake of the entire league, not just for small market teams. What a lot of these guys in the talk back fail to realize is that a big reason why the NFL is so exciting to watch and so successful as a league is because of revenue sharing. It's truly sad that these guys can't realize that what RW is trying to say is truly in their interest as fans of the league.

Is someone being a little sensitive today? I thought Bills fans were tough? Who gives a rats ass what they say, !@#$'em. Lets show'em on the field. Who's with me?

Did we run and hide when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Nooooooooooo!

Maybe if they explained it on Lost or American Idol...

What's funny is the same thing is harped on over and over again in baseball - probably by exactly the same people.

I don't see too much hatred. There is some real and intelligent debate. 1 Redskins fan who is an idiot. I've seen worse from national sportswriters.

You must not have looked too hard. The talk back is laced with stupidity.

not to open a whole new bag of worms, but what if ralph spearheads the settlement to the looming CBA crisis, gets the new deal in place, and the day before the super bowl... 6 guys get called for the HOF leaving just one... Imagine the sweating palms then.

edit: i'm already getting pissed.

I was going to post "Germans?" but I realized that some of our younger Bills fans may not know the next line was "Shh... He's on a roll."

I listen to Howard Beale's rant from Network a couple times a week.

Here's a link to the mp3

I'm Mad as Hell

"You've got to say, 'I'm a HUMAN BEING, Goddamnit! My life has VALUE!' "

I have it downloaded to both my home and work computer, and sometimes I'll listen to it, over and over, with the headphones on while writing out reports.

They think I'm listening to top 40 radio. Nope. I'm not.
